WWE Looking To Sign TV & Merchandise Deals In The Asian Market

- There has been a lot of local media interest in India about WWE's negotiations with local television networks to air WWE programming. According to an article in The Economic Times in India, WWE is negotiating with Total Sports Asia, which plans to field out different programming to different channels unless a major offer comes in for exclusivity. Reason for WWE showing interest in India's market is because it is one of the largest countries in the region.

- WWE is close to signing a deal with Gokaldas Images Ltd to license clothing in the Asian market. The plan is to sell T-shirts, shirts, trousers and jerseys, photographs and taglines of the WWE superstars. The apparel is scheduled to hit retail shelves in mid-2004.
