WWE Velocity & Sunday Night Heat Combined Report-"Special Editions"

Combined WWE Velocity & Sunday Night Heat Reports for Weekend of 5/6th February 2005
By Shaun Best-Rajah.Com Reporter

Welcome everyone I am your host Shaun Best. Unfortunately the usual weekend shows have been replaced this week by special recap editions with the emphasis clearly based upon Wrestlemania. Hopefully normal service resumes next week so let's get going. The Velocity recap is hosted by Steve Romero & Josh Mathews while doing the honours for Heat is Todd Grisham & Marc Loyd.

Both shows open up recapping September 25th when Wrestlemania 21 Tickets went on sale and sold out in record time and then we see a Wrestlemania 20 highlights package. Velocity recaps a classic Wrestlemania match from Wrestlemania 17 which pitted Chris Benoit vs Kurt Angle with Angle winning via a rollup with the aid of the tights. Both shows introduce highlights from the 2004 Hall of Fame Inductions (probably taken from the DVD) and Velocity announces the latest list for the Class of 2005 inductees which was first announced on SmackDown!. The list reads "Mr Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, "Cowboy" Bob Orton & "The Mouth of The South" Jimmy Hart (I guess Hogan's headed to Mania). The Road to Wrestlemania 21 Tour Bus is hyped and shown starting in Stamford and stopping off last at California just in time for Wrestlemania. Velocity airs the long Triple H/Braveheart/Wrestlemania Skit (I prefer Eugene's) before showing us highlights of the four winners from the recent Tough Enough To Travel that got to go on the road with Trish Stratus, Dawn Marie and Scotty 2 Hotty. Velocity concludes by showing a rerun of the whole of Eddie Guerrero vs Booker T from SmackDown! this past week. Booker takes a page out of Eddie's playbook and rolls him up for the pin. The tournament bracket is shown and the last two Quarter Final matchups taking place on SmackDown! in Japan are hyped. Heat's Wrestlemania recall is from 1987 where Hulk Hogan slams down Andre The Giant, drops the leg and gains the pin. Heat recaps the classic Ironman Match from Wrestlemania 12 between Bret "Hitman" Hart and Shawn Michaels before replaying Eric Bischoff announcing on Raw the three big matches taking place on Raw tomorrow night in Japan: Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit (Submission Match), La Resistance vs William Regal & Tajiri (World Tag Titles) and Triple H vs Edge (World Title). Heat shows still shots of Evolution's success at the Royal Rumble before recapping from Raw Triple H telling Flair how he "wants" to face Batista at Mania but feels it's best for him to move to SmackDown! so Evolution can run the whole industry (Triple H already does this by himself I might add) and the tag match later on with Triple H & Ric Flair vs Shawn Michaels & Randy Orton. The face team wins after Edge accidentally spears Triple H and a concussed Orton crawls over to get the three count. Heat finishes off by quickly announcing the Wrestlemania Revenge Tour dates in the UK with.........

Raw April 21st Aberdeen Scotland (The Press and Journal Arena)
Raw April 22nd Edinburgh Scotland (Royal Highland Centre)
Raw April 23rd Newcastle England (Metroradio Arena)
Raw April 24th Hull England (Hull Arena)

SD! April 21st Dublin Ireland (The Point)
SD! April 22nd London England (Excel Centre)
SD! April 25th Cardiff Wales (Cardiff International Arena)

I'll be back next week when hopefully normal service is resumed. Until then take care, have a good week and I'll see you later, Shaun.
