WrestleMania News, Two Major Matches Confirmed

There’s an article in the April issue of SmackDown magazine hyping the Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker match. The article reads, “For Whom The Bell Tolls ... The Legend Killer Hunts The Deadman.” We’ve reported that the match had been advertised before, but now it appears to be a complete lock.

In the same issue, there is an article titled “The Legacy Continues, Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Get Set To Make History”. Here’s an excerpt from the article:

“...Wrestlemania 21, WWE fans will likely be treated to another historic matchup, as Eddie Guerrero will face Rey Mysterio at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 3. Arguably, this will be the highest profile match between two Latinos in the history of wrestling.”

So it seems as the Guerrero vs. Mysterio match is also a lock for WrestleMania.

With the aforementioned matches, here is how the card is shaping up:

- World Heavyweight Champion Triple H vs. Batista.
- WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield vs. John Cena.
- Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle.
- Piper's Pit, hosted by Rowdy Roddy Piper, with special guest Stone Cold Steve Austin.
- Randy Orton vs. The Undertaker.
- Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio.

There are also rumored matches making the rounds. One is a six-man ladder match which would include Chris Jericho, Big Show vs. Akebono. Another match rumored is Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme.
