He comes out to the ring in jeans and a black shirt, half way buttoned up and his arm in a solid brace. Video of Batista attacked by Orton and Legacy three months ago, Batista’s arm in a chair and Orton jumped on it. That was supposed to explain away Batista’s injury, even though he’d been wrestling injured. He says first off, before he makes his announcement, he wants to thank everyone - there tonight and at home. He’s choked up and in sun glasses. He says it’s been a rough years, a couple of really bad injuries. This isn’t how he wanted to come back, but he came back to say goodbye. He thanks for letting him have the time of his life in the ring. Huge “Batista” chants. He says there’s been rumors about this for a long time now, people talking about his retirement... Then he’s cut off by Orton’s music. Orton, really pissed off, comes slowly down to the ring. King and Cole rip on Orton and how bitter he is after injuring Batista and then losing last night. Can’t Orton just let Batista retire and have his moment in peace? Orton says he’s not very happy about losing the WWE Championship last night. What does cheer him up is the fact that Batista’s retiring. The big bad animal goes out with a whimper. Whatever speech Batista had planned, save it because no one cares. Why did Batista wait so long to retire? He’s not retiring for his health, he’s retiring because of Orton. He’s put Batista on the shelf twice. So why doesn’t he hang his head and cry, like he was about to do before Orton came out. Batista took off his glasses and laughed. Orton got pissed and asked what’s so funny about Orton ruining his career and his life. Batista said two things. One is that Orton’s very predictable. Two is that Batista knows something Orton doesn’t know. Batista removes his big arm brace. Batista takes Orton down hard with a clothesline and then a slam. Batista sends Orton out over the top flying to the floor. Batista says he’s not there to announce his retirement, he’s there to announce he’s going to SD! (I was wrong! I said there was no way that this was the announcement as it was too small. I still think they made too big of a deal over this move.) He talked to their Guest Host and she guaranteed him one last match on RAW. It’s No Holds Barred, against Orton! - Commercial Video of what just happened in the ring between Orton and Batista. Lilian announces RAW’s Diva of The Decade, Seven Time Champion, Trish Stratus. She comes out in a sexy black tube top and tight black pants with her dark hair. She says it’s good to be home, both Toronto and WWE. She doesn’t want to toot her own horn, but she thinks she’ll make a good host. She thinks Bob Barker did a good job last week. Her favorite part was when he almost make Jericho cry. This isn’t TPIR. This is her home and she knows RAW. She thinks she knows what the fans want. There’s Batista versus Orton. And Orton is owed a re-match. She was thinking about it and came up with something. She’s thinking at the next PPV, Orton versus Cena’s rematch in a Hell In A Cell. And for a little Stratusfaction. Jericho goes on to say he heard Trish talking about him earlier. She can’t stop thinking about him. He tells Beth that Trish was madly in love with him and didn’t get over him sending her packing. Told her to hit the bricks. Trish says if he needs to believe that to get through his long and lonely nights, go ahead. That would explain the anger every time she sees him, all the tension in his face. He should be happy since she found his new soul mate. She’s been watching him with Big Show, cuddling, holding hands, etc. Beth says Trish is really big when she doesn’t have to worry about backing it up. Say what she will about Jericho, but every night he backs up what he says. He didn’t retire when new competition came in. Didn’t run off to open a yoga studio in this second rate country. Unlike Trish, Jericho has guts. Trish says Beth thinks she retired because she didn’t want to face Beth? Beth says absolutely. Trish says she didn’t even know Beth.
