According to various media outlet’s promoting Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s new movie Gridiron Gang, it appears as if Johnson plans on dropping “The Rock” nickname beginning with the release of his next movie, Southland Tales. Johnson is apparently doing this to further distinguish between his acting career and old wrestling career. He has been in New York City all week doing several promotional appearances for the release of Gridiron Gang which hits U.S. theaters nationwide on September 15.

A car fire destroyed a Lamborghini this past Saturday originally thought to be owned by Hulk Hogan. According to an article by the Herald Today, Hulk Hogan’s publicist Elizabeth Rosenthal confirmed that the car was actually owned by Cecile Barker, Chief Executive Officer of Brooke Hogan’s record company, SoBe Entertainment, however was being driven by Hogan's 16-year old son Nick. Rosenthal noted that it was a “terrible accident” and was not something done to raise awareness of the Hogan family for their “Hogan Knows Best” reality show on VH-1. No criminal charges or traffic citations have been filed against Nick.
