TNA Slammiversary X PPV Results


Slammiversary X opens with a video package looking back at the biggest moments in TNA history for the past 10 years and looking ahead to the future.

Inside the arena at the University of Texas in Arlington, Mike Tenay welcomes us to TNA’s 10 year anniversary.

Hulk Hogan's music hits and he comes to the ring for a promo. Hogan gets a big pop from the crowd and welcomes us to Slammiversary. Hogan says it's a celebration of 10 years of Impact Wrestling - and the next 10 years twill be twice as awesome. He says he's been around the block a few times and this company is shooting to the moon. Hogan says Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries will the show tonight - and it will be for Aries' X-Division title.

X-Division Title Match: Austin Aries (c) vs. Samoa Joe:

Tenay mentions that Samoa Joe exceeds the weight requirements of the X Division, but we're going "old school" tonight and Joe could become the new X-Division champion.

The match begins and the two lock up. Headlock by Aries. Joe breaks free and takes him down with a running shoulder. Several kicks from Aries. Samoa Joe fires back with several smacks of his own and he stuns the champion. Aries responds with a chop. Aries ducks a clothesline from Joe and nails him with a hurricanrana. Aries goes for a dive to the outside of the ring but Joe stops him in his tracks with a swift kick to the head. Joe throws Aries in the corner and lands some stiff chops.

Joe splashes Aries in the corner and kicks him in the head. Joe stomps does Aries' face. Running boot by Samoa Joe and he gets a 2 count. Several chops and a forearm by Aries, but Joe nails a tight looking powerslam for a 2 count. Samoa Joe in control, working him over in the corner. Aries gets a boot up and comes off the second rope but Joe drops him and hits a big back splash. Aries fights back but Joe knocks him out of the ring with another big forearm. Joe runs the ropes and dives out to the floor but Aries comes back in. Aries dives out now and takes Joe out.

Back in the ring, Austin Aries nails Joe with a neckbreaker. He climbs the turnbuckles and delivers a missile dropkick. Aries picking up a lot of momentum here. Aries goes for a crossbody attack but Joe catches him and slams him down. Two count for Joe. Joe blocks a hurricanrana and powerbombs Aries for a 2 count. Joe turns it around into a crab but Aries won't tap. Joe turns that into a STF but still refuses to quit.

Joe hits Aries with a series of headbutts. Joe attempts a Muscle Buster Aries breaks free. Joe goes for a superplex but Aries knocks Joe to the mat. Aries nails a sick 450 splash on Joe but only gets the 2. Great match and the crowd is very into it.

Joe goes for another the Muscle Buster but Aries hits crucifix slam. Aries kicks Joe in the and nails discus forearm. Aries connects with a dropkick in the corner and a hits Joe with a Brainbuster for the the 1-2-3.

Winner: Austin Aries

At ringside, Tenay and Taz hype tonight's main event. Up next is Kid Kash vs. Hernandez.

Kid Kash vs. Hernandez

The bell rings and we get some back and forth action before Hernandez uses his power to get the upper hand. Hernandez throws Kash out of the ring and attempts to leap to the floor, bu tKash comes to the apron and Hernandez puts hte breaks on. Hernandez brings him back in to the ring and is in control, tossing him around like a rag doll.

Kash gets the upper hand by kitting him with a cheap shot. Kash works over the arm of Hernandez and also several chops to his chest. Kash him down in the corner. Hernandez chops back and this one is getting very physical. Kash him down with a hurricanrana and then nails a tornado DDT. Kash tries to knock Hernandez off the apron but Hernandez springboards in over the top and takes Kash out with a big shoulder. Hernandez comes back with a clothesline and shots to the chest now. Hernandez with a big splash in the corner and another big shove, sending Kash to the floor. Hernandez runs the ropes and leaps over, taking out Kash on the the outside.

Back in the ring, Kash hits a big dropkick and attempts a top rope hurricanrana. Hernandez shoves him off to rope on to the ramp and nails him with a top rope splash for the pinfall

Winner: Hernandez

Robbie E and Robbie T vs. Devon and Garett Bischoff

Out first are the Robbies followed by TNA Television Champion Devon and his partner, Garett Bischoff. Robbie E and Garett Bischoff start off the match, with Bischoff getting the upper hand early. Several clotheslines by Bischoff. Robbie E takes a beating before tagging in Robbie T. Garett ducks a clothesline and unloads on the big man. Bischoff gets tripped by Robbie E, who pulls him to the floor and works him over on the outside with the referee distracted.

Madison Rayne comes out to watch the action. Robbie E tags in and the heels are in control. Both Robbies double team Bischoff. Devon breaks up a pin attempt as Madison Rayne watches from the ramp with a big smile on her face. Bischoff takes down Robbie E and tags in Devon, who hits a series of power moves on Robbie E. Devon knocks Robbie T off the apron and Robbie E is in trouble. Devon hits Robbie E with a diving heatbutt and delivers a stiff bodyslam. Robbie T tries to interfere, but Bischoff takes him out and allows Devon to get the pinfall on Robbie E

Winners: Devon and Garett Bischoff

After the match, Devon and Bischoff dance in the ring together.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviews TNA's tag team champions, Kazarian and Daniels, who cut a promo about their match with AJ Styles Kurt Angle later tonight.

Up next is the #1 contenders match to determine who gets a TNA World title shot this week on Impact.

Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam

Mr. Anderson is out first and he does his mic work intro at the top of the ramp. RVD is out next, followed by Jeff Hardy - with all three men getting good pops from the crowd.

Winner & New #1 Contender: Mr. Anderson

Backstage, Crimson is interviewed by Jeremy Borash and cuts a promo about how impressive his undefeated streak is. His open challenge is up next.

Crimson comes to the ring and continues to talk up his undefeated streak. He says all he sees are a bunch of losers - and tonight, his streak will continue. After about 30 seconds of waiting to find out who his opponent will be, we hear .... "Sorry 'bout your damn luck!"

Crimson vs. Cowboy James Storm:

Storm hits the ring and immediately clotheslines Crimson to the floor before even taking jacket off. Storm suplexes Crimson, jumps on top of him and lands a flurry of punches. Crimson gets the upper hand and chokes Storm with his jacket. He takes Storm into the corner and works him over. Storm nails Crimson with stiff clotheslines and a big right hand. Storm nails an inverted attomic drop and is in control.

Last Call superkick by Storm and he gets the pinfall to end Crimson's undefeated streak. James Storm celebrates in the ring with several beers.

Winner: James Storm

Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviews Austin Aries and asks him what's next for him. Aries says he's come a long way in the past year and he . What does he want next? He wants to be the man that sets the bar that everyone else has to reach for. He wants to be the main event - and he will do whatever he has to do to get there.

A video package is shown from another great moment in TNA history - Hulk Hogan's arrival to the company and the Hogan-Bischoff press conference in New York City.

Dixie Carter's music hits and out comes the TNA President. She asks the crowd how they're doing and gets a lout "Thank You Dixie" chant. She says it's a surreal moment to be here - in front of TNA's largest United States crowd in company history. Loud TNA chant as the camera pans across the arena. She thanks Jeff & Jerry Jarrett, Spike TV and all of their partners around the world. Most importantly - to the greatest wrestling fans in the world. Dixie Carter invites the entire TNA roster out to the stage for the first Hall of Fame inductee.

Dixie Carter introduces the first inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame - STING. A great video package airs with all of TNA's top stars talking about Sting's accomplishments to the wrestling industry and TNA. Sting is shown getting emotional. His music hits and he walks from the ramp to the ring. Dixie Carter thanks Sting for all he's done for the company. Loud YES! chant from the crowd. Dixie says she's asked for Sting's help over and over, and he's always delivered. The formal induction celebration will take place at TNA Bound For Glory. Loud Thank You Sting chant.

Sting says he had no idea that he was going to be selected and it's a true honor. He says the fans are chanting "Thank You Sting" - but he wants to thank them. He's always tried to give the fans his all and tonight - it will be showtime. Sting and Dixie Carter hug in the ring as Sting's music hits once again. They leave together as Mike Tenay and Taz talk about the announcement at ringside. Taz puts over Sting and says it's legit that nobody knew who Dixie Carter would announce as the inductee

TNA Knockouts Title Match: Gail Kim vs. Miss Tessmacher

Out first is Miss Tessmacher, who gets a loud pop from the Texas crowd. Gail Kim's music hits and the champion walks to the ring. Lots of back and forth action to start the match. Kim is thrown to the outside. Back in the ring, Tessmacher comes off the second rope with a clothesline and takes Gail down with a flying head scissors. Gail cuts Tessmacher off and drops her over the top rope.

Gail scoops Tessmacher for a shoulder breaker and a pin attempt. Gail goes back to work with a submission hold. Gail with a head scissors submission now. Gail keeps control and chokes Tessmacher with the bottom rope. Tessmacher comes back with a neckbreaker and they both go down. They trade shots in the middle of the ring now. Tessmacher with two clotheslines and a flying forearm. Tessmacher with a dropkick. Tessmacher goes for one of her finishers but botches it again. Gail laughs at her and hits a necktie neckbreaker. Tessmacher ends up on the apron and Gail knocks her out to the floor. Gail brings it back in the ring but Tessmacher blocks Eat Defeat. Gail taunts her and smacks her. Tessmacher counters a move and rolls Gail up out of nowhere for the win and the title in her home state.

Winner & NEW Knockouts Champion: Miss Tessmacher

After the match, Christy Hemme interviews Miss Tessmacher in the aisle and asks her what it's She's emotional and says it's truly epic. She says God Bless Texas and holds the title belt over her head.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash congratulates Miss Tessmacher and says the wild night continues. He starts yapping about Twitter when a hand covers his mouth. It's Bully Ray. He asks, "Do you know who I am? Do you know where I'm from?" Bully Ray says he's got Joseph Park right where he wants him - in the middle of the ring. Make no mistake about it - tonight, there will be no wrestling going on. Tonight, it's going to be an all out assault. He pulls out the contract that says if he's not responsible for any bodily harm he causes. He says Abyss better not show up tonight.

A video package airs looking back at the recent storyline with Joseph Park, Abyss and Bully Ray.

Bully Ray vs. Joseph Park:

Out first is Bully Ray, followed by Joseph Park, who is wearing a track suit. Loud "Yankees Suck" and "Let's Go Rangers" chants. The bell rings and Park, still wearing his eye glasses, seems uncomfortable in the ring. He takes off the glasses as Bully Ray taunts him. Bully Ray puts both hands behind his back and screams at Park to do something. Ray slaps him in the face and calls him a coward. Loud "Joseph" chant.

Bully Ray dives at Park, who moves out of the way and slaps Bully Ray in the face. Ray looks shocked and shoves Park down. Loud "New York Sucks" chant, which is really pissing off Bully Ray. Taz, a Brooklyn native, says that's not nice - so much for Southern hospitality. Bully Ray brings a chair into the ring, but Joseph Park takes it from him. Bully Ray begs for mercy, but then attacks Park when he's not paying attention. He screams at the fallen big man and smacks the chair across his back. Another viscous shot with the chiar. Park escapes to the outside, but Bully Ray follows him and slams his head into the announcers table. He hits him over the head with a plastic bottle of water and throws him into the guard rail at ringside. Ray unloads on Park with several punches to the head.

He throws Park back into the ring as the crowd continues to chant "New York Sucks" at Ray, who spits at them. Bully Ray goes for a 2nd rope back body drop - but nobody's home. Joseph Park begins to hulk up and looks possessed. He unloads with a fury of fists on Ray and the crowd is really into it. Bully Ray goes to the outside and brings a table and a kendo stick into the ring. Loud ECW chant from the crowd. Park takes the kendo stick and cracks Bully Ray over the head with it. 2 count. He charges into Bully Ray, who hits him with an elbow and sends him to the outside. Joseph Park disappears under the ring and from the other side of the ring - it's ... ABYSS! Bully Ray hasn't seen him yet. Bully Ray turns around and sees Abyss and screams, "WTF?!" Abyss chokeslams Bully Ray through the table, exits the ring and climbs under the ring. 10 seconds later, Joseph Park appears from under the ring, enters the ring and pins Bully Ray for the 3-count.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash introduces the longest reigning champion in TNA history, Bobby Roode. Roode says tonight is a celebration of TNA, but the only thing people should be celebrating is him. Without the "It Factor" of professional wrestling, there would be no TNA. He's the best of the best and doesn't give a crap about Sting's Hall of Fame induction. Later tonight, he's going to walk out TNA Champion.

Hulk Hogan's music hits and TNA's General Manager is out once again. Hogan says he's got one more surprise - and introduces Christian Cage. Out comes Christian, who shakes hands with Hulk Hogan and walks to the ring. Big pop for Christian, with many in the crowd doing the "2 C's" Christian Cage hand gesture. Loud "Welcome Back" chant. Christian grabs a microphone and says, "Can you guess the question I've been asked the most this week?" Are the rumors true? Will be be at Slammiversary? Loud YES! chant from the crowd again. Christian says a few things have changed since he's been gone - but one thing hasn't changed - the great fans of TNA. He tells everybody to give themselves a round of applause. Christian says the fans have been voting on the top moments in company history - and he's here tonight to introduce the #1 moment in company history - Sting's returning to TNA at Final Resolution 2006.

Video package airs recapping the storyline with Dixie Carter, AJ Styles, Daniels and Kazarian.

TNA Tag Title Match: Daniels & Kazarian vs. Kurt Angle & AJ Styles

Out first are the champions. Kurt Angle's music hits and the Olympic Gold Medalist is out to a big pop. AJ Styles' music hits and out comes the Phenominal One. AJ charges the ring and goes right after Daniels. Angle thrown out of the ring and the heels double team AJ. Styles and Kazarian go back and forth, with Kazarian going for a quick pin, 2 count. Roundhouse kick by AJ and a sick dropkick on Kazarian. Another on Daniels and the ring has been cleared. "AJ Styles" chant. AJ goes to the outside and works on Kazarian. AJ does a springboard flying forarm off the guard rail and it's pandemonium. Angle flies off the apron and clotheslines Daniels. Back in the ring, AJ slams Kazarian down, goes off the ropes and lands a high flying knee. 1 count. Styles tags in Kurt Angle and they double suplex Kazarian. 1 count.

Angle stomps down Kazarian in the corner. Kazarian rakes the eyes of Angle and throws him into the heel's corner. Daniels tagged in. Dropkick on Angle. Daniels in control, but Angle hits a back body drop. AJ Styles tagged in and he delivers a backbreaker on Daniels with authority. AJ tries for Styles clash but Daniels breaks free and tags in Kazarian. Kazarian works over AJ in the corner, screams at him and then referee Earl Hebner. AJ whipped into the opposite corner. Kazarian chases after him but gets caught with a boot in the face. Kazarian knocks AJ off the top rope and he's got his leg caught in the ropes. He's stuck as Kazarian beats him down and works on the tied up leg.

Daniels taunts Kurt Angle as he tags in Kazarian, who kicks AJ in the gut. Quick tags by the champions, who have Style isolated in their corner. The heels are really doing a number on Styles, hitting him with several high impact double team moves. Kurt Angle runs in to save his partner, but the referee makes him leave the ring. Kazarian goes for a suplex on Styles, but he counters and nails him with a neckbreaker. Styles is disoriented but gets his bearings and tags in Kurt Angle. Hot tag - Angle unloading on Daniels. Big overhead belly to belly suplex on Daniels. German suplex on Kazarian. German suplex on Daniels. Angle Slam on Daniels for a 2 count - Kazarian broke it up. Another German suplex on Kazarian. And another! Kazarian is holding his head. Angle delivers a double German suplex to both tag team champions in a very cool but somewhat un-realistic looking spot. Angle locks on the ankle lock on Daniels but it's broken up. Loud "TNA!" chant. Daniels goes for Angels Wings but he is backdropped instead. AJ Styles tags in and hits some big moves before the champions double team him. AJ Styles hits his own DDT/Reverse DDT on both champions at the same time. Loud TNA chant. AJ goes for a Stinger splash on Daniels but misses. Kurt Angle t-bone suplexes Styles. Kazarian comes in and takes out Angle. Styles hits Kazarian with a modified atomic drop / faceplant and the place is going crazy. "This is awesome" chants.

AJ attemps a superplex on Kazarian, but he knocks him down. Kurt Angle sprints to the corner and gives Kazarian a top rope belly to belly suplex. Daniels takes Angle out with a judo akedown. Styles and Daniels exchanging punches and the crowd chants "Yes!" for each punch. Rock bottom on AJ by Daniels. BME attempt but he lands on his feet. Angle hits Daniels with another German suplex. Pele kick by Styles. Angle goes off the top rope with a big splash on Kazarian. 2 count but Daniels breaks it up. AJ Styles goes off the top rope and hits a springboard shooting star press onto Daniels on the outside. HOLY SH*T chants and they are well deserved. Angle locks in the ankle lock on Kazarian and we could have new champions. Kazarian is really selling it as he reaches for the ropes. Kazarian taps! Awesome match.

Winners & NEW Tag Team Champions: Kurt Angle & AJ Styles

The champions celebrate in the ring as we get a replay video package of that match. Back at ringside, Taz and Mike Tenay deliver the final hype for tonight's main event for the TNA World title. Video package airs looking back at Sting and Roode's feud. We look at the tale of the tape for the main event - and Sting's music hits.

TNA World Title Match: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Sting

Out first is the man who will be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at Bound for Glory - Sting. Out next is the "It Factor" Bobby Roode. Jeremy Borash handles the introductions and Brian Hebner is our referee.

Bobby Roode exits the ring. He takes off his robe and is taking his time. Roode gets back on to the apron and gives his title belt to Hebner, who holds it above his head. Roode has yet to enter the ring. He finally enters the ring and the bell rings. Sting comes after Roode, who bails from the ring again. Roode come back in and exits the ring one more time. Sting follows him to the outside, chases after Roode. Roode enters the ring first and stomps Sting down. Sting gets the upper hand and lands a high knee to Roode's face. Roode exits the ring. Sting follows him to the outside and Sting slams the champion into the guard rail. Sting throws Roode into the guard rail on the opposite side of the ring and throws th champion back in.

Roode is running away from Sting and begs him not to hit him. The crowd is behind Sting as he has the upper hand. Hip toss by Sting and he attempts a Scorpion Death Lock. Roode exits the ring for about the 10th time in the first 3 minutes and starts to walk away. Sting follows him again and beats him down on the outside. Sting slams Roode's head into the steel steps. So far, Roode is being a total chicken sh*t heel and Sting is in total control. Sting throws Roode into the ring, who rolls out of the other side of the ring. Roode chokes Sting with the rope and enters the ring. Roode stomps down sting and exits the ring - again. Roode hits Sting with an elbow and gets back into the ring. Roode throws Sting into the turnbuckle and chops him in the corner. Another chop in the opposite corner. Snap mare and a running neck snap to Sting, shades of Curt Hennig. Sleeper hold on Sting and the champion is in control. The crowd chants for Sting, who breaks free and applies a sleeper hold of his own. Roode reverses it with a suplex. Roode goes to the top rope but Sting cuts him off and gives him a superplex. Sting signals for the Scorpion Death Drop and locks it in. Roode is in trouble and teases like he might tap. The crowd is chanting for him to tap. Roode reaches the ropes. Both men exit to the ring and Bobby Roode tries to run away. Sting chases him down and they brawl by the stage. "You Still Got It" chant for Sting. Sting throws Roode back into the ring, but he exits the other side. Sting runs up and hits him with a Stinger Splash on the guard rail. Sting is fired up and beats on his chest. Both men are now on the announcer's table and Sting signals for the death lock. He locks it in on the broadcast table and Roode is tapping out - but it doesn't count because they're outside the ring. Boos from the crowd. Roode grabs a 6-pack of beer bottles and cracks one over Sting's head. He covers Sting for the 3 and gets the win. There are several glass beer bottles in the ring, but the referee doesn't seem to notice or care.

Winner & Still TNA Champion: Bobby Roode

Sting is bleeding from the head and snaps. Roode tries to run away but Sting catches him and gives him a suplex on the ramp. Sting continues to beat down Sting on the ramp. Scorpion Death Drop off the ramp through a gimmicked table covered with a black curtain. Holy sh*t chant from the crowd as Sting's music hits. The show goes off the air.
