On September 18 at the SmackDown taping at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he will face Sheamus and Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat Match for the belt.

WWE Chief Operating Officer Triple H is advertised to make a special appearance at the event.

- Former WWE developmental wrestler Marcus Owens stated on Twitter that he will be filming a new reality series for VH1 next month in Atlanta, Georgia. He was released from his contract with the wrestling organization earlier this year.
