- WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair is currently in California after returning from Japan over the weekend, where he was in town for an All Japan Pro Wrestling show. Flair was scheduled to wrestle on the show, but was not medically cleared after doctors found a blood clot in his leg during his pre-match physical. Flair was replaced by his son Reid (who was already booked to wrestle a separate match on the card) and watched the match from ringside.
Despite the dangers of taking a 7+ hour flight with a blood clot, Flair was adamant about not wanting to be checked into a Japanese hospital and took the flight anyways.
WWE wanted Ric Flair at this week's television tapings, but it's unknown whether he'll be in Sacramento tonight for SmackDown. Flair is still scheduled to do autograph signings in Las Vegas later this week.
