WWE Raw Results (9/16/13) - Cleveland, Ohio

We are live in Cleveland, Ohio! The show kicks off with Daniel Bryan YES'ing to the ring. Yeah, it's a legit verb in the WWE. He says there are a lot of things he would like to say, and goes off on a YES rant. Enter Triple H. He says that Bryan's victory is tainted and would like to bring out the official from last night's match, Scott Armstrong. Triple H wants to show footage from last night's match, highlighting how quickly Armstrong counted Orton out compared to his normal count. When given a chance to explain himself, Armstrong simply said "It was a fast count, I don't know." Triple H says he has never seen Armstrong make such a mistake before. Triple H thinks there is more to the picture. Triple H thinks he hears Armstrong say, "They've got us," to Bryan. Triple H asks Armstrong to leave and decides to vacate the title due to Bryan conspiring with an official. Bryan refuses to hand over the title. Triple H reminds Bryan that he has disgraced the WWE, along with his family.

Enter Randy Orton, who looks pretty upset. Triple H tells him to calm down and says that he will handle the situation. Triple H again asks for the title, but Bryan still refuses. He yells NO! which leads to Orton delivering an RKO to Bryan. Triple H takes the title and leaves the arena.

Triple H and Stephanie are arguing backstage. Orton walks up and demands his title back. Stephanie gets in Orton's face and says that until Orton can find the ruthless Orton of old, they may be in search of a new face for the WWE.

Dusty Rhodes enters the arena. He says he is not here as the American dream tonight, but as Virgil Runnels tonight. He's raised a family of two good men, saying that the love of your children can help you get through the tough times. This is not about Dusty, it's about Cody's job. Having two sons you love with all of your heart is best for business. Dusty says he is here to get Cody's job back. Dusty tells Stephanie to come to the ring, and get on with this business proposition.

Stephanie says that Dusty's words were beautiful. She says that the firing of Cody has been weighing on her heart along with Triple H's. She has brought something for Cody and his bride. Stephanie says that Cody can have his job back, or, Goldust can have a job. The choice is for Dusty to make. Dusty asks if Stephanie only feeds her favorite daughter at the breakfast table. Stephanie says that this is so typical for Dusty to make this all about himself. Dusty tells Stephanie to go to hell, causing Stephanie to call out the Shield. She says this hardly seems fair, and calls out the Big Show to even the ground. Stephanie says that since Dusty couldn't decide on which of his sons could have a job, he can choose now to either be dismembered by the Shield or to be knocked out by the Big Show. He tells Dusty that he is sorry and knocks him out, but catches him before he falls and lays him on the mat. Dusty is taken out of the ring on a stretcher as Big Show looks on.

Divas Match

Honestly I don't even know who was in the match; neither team was formally announced. Every diva was out at the ring, though, including AJ and Natalya on commentary. Natalya's headset was not working, so she got to borrow the Jerry's. Brie got the pin to win it for her team. There are just too many tags and too many things going on to write this kind of thing out. After the match, AJ and Natalya had a staredown.

Sandow plows Van Dam into the corner, Sandow fights out and hits a sweep. Van Dam goes for rolling thunder but Sandow counters by raising his knees. Van Dam springs off of the ropes and kicks Sandow in the face. Van Dam goes high and hits the frog splash for the win.

Triple H is talking to Armstrong backstage. He tells Armstrong that referees in this business have to have integrity. He assures that Armstrong will be taken care of with a nice severance package. Armstrong looks confused before Triple H informs him that he has to be let go.

Randy Orton vs The Miz

I accidentally closed the window before saving. There wasn't much of a match, though. Miz was attacked before the match while talking to his parents at ringside. The two were counted out after brawling outside of the ring. Orton gained the upper hand and beat Miz in front of his parents. He threw Miz into the ring and got a chair. Orton set Miz's head within the chair and crushed his head with a high knee drop.

Paul Heyman came out with Ryback and gloated about pinning CM Punk at Night of Champions, and it's in the record books forever. Heyman says that he would like to say it was all part of his grand plan, but it wasn't. CM Punk had Heyman beaten, and would have turned him into a vegetable had it not been for Ryback. Ryback said that he doesn't like bullies, and Punk was being a bully to Heyman, so he doesn't like CM Punk. Ryback leaned down to Heyman's wheelchair level and Heyman awkwardly kissed Ryback on the cheek.

The Real Americans vs The Usos vs Tons of Funk

These Uso matches are so hard to write when you can't tell which one is which. Cesaro is knocked out of the ring by Tensai, then Tensai jabs uso and does a jig before hitting a big uppercut. Cesaro snuck in and got the rollup on Tensai while he was busy with an Uso. Tons of Funk are eliminated.

Back from commercial, Swagger is hitting the Swagger bomb on an Uso, followed by a stomp by Cesaro, using Swagger to propel himself higher. Swagger gets tagged in along with an Uso tag, Uso jumping in with a big clothesline, followed by lots more before sending Swagger ringside. Uso goes up top, Swagger grabs him and throws him to the mat, but not before the other Uso managed to tag himself in. The legal Uso now on the top rope hits a frog splash on Swagger, center of the ring for the 3-count.

Back from commercial, Reigns is preparing to superplex Bryan from the top rope. Bryan punches his way out, sending Reigns down to the mat. Bryan launches himself, but misses and hits the mat. Bryan starts to gain his momentum by hitting his running clotheslines. He begins feeding off the crowd and hits a series of kicks to Reigns' chest, but misses with the big one, being slammed to the mat after missing. Reigns set Bryan up for the powerbomb, Bryan countered into a rollup. Bryan locked in the yes-lock, leading to Orton entering the ring to break up the hold, ending the match.

The Shield enter the ring and attack Bryan, setting Bryan up with his head in a chair, as Miz was earlier. Before Orton can do the deed, the lockeroom pours out into the ring in defense of Bryan. The Usos, Kofi, Primetime Players, Truth, RVD, Ziggler, and Zack Ryder are the ones I recall. The show ended with all of the superstars holding Bryan up in the ring celebrating. The entire arena was YES'ing to end the show.
