Jeff Jarrett's TNA resignation announcement apparently caught many by surprise. As we noted recently, Jarrett had been taking a bigger management role and extended agent work following the departure of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff from the company, which makes this announcement even more interesting.
Nobody in TNA is talking as if there were any kind of issues involving Jarrett at the last set of television tapings, and it appears that things are "business as usual."
TNA sources who are normally "in the know" were also caught off guard by the announcement, and aren't entirely ruling out the possibility that this is a work. At the same time, that is basically speculating based off of the fact that nobody seems to know much of anything about what caused him to resign out of the blue.
