As previously reported, Rey Mysterio has been out of action with an injury. Despite reports that claimed it was a knee injury, it's actually a hand injury that he is currently suffering from. Mysterio's hand was swelling up pretty badly, which is why he's been out. It's expected that he will be back to action soon.
Originally, Mysterio wasn't booked for WrestleMania XXX, but a late decision was made to add him to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Additionally, he was not booked for WWE RAW the next night, but a late decision was made to add him onto the show in a match against Bad News Barrett.
Mysterio has yet to sign a new contract with WWE, however the company is looking to sign him in the near future.
