The following are results of this week's edition of WWE Main Event, which aired Tuesday night, August 19th on the WWE Network.
- Sheamus def. Curtis Axel to open the show. This was a non-title match, which featured Cesaro on commentary. Sheamus won with his Brogue Kick and then after the match, Cesaro took Sheamus' U.S. title, looked it, smiled and then threw it in the ring.
- Triple H announced that John Cena is invoking his rematch clause, so the WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view main event will be a rematch between he and Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
- Nikki Bella def. Emma in what was a pretty basic Divas match. Lots of "you sold out" chants directed towards Nikki throughout the bout. In the end, Bella beat Emma with an Argentine back-breaker.
- Renee Young interviewed Big Show and Mark Henry backstage. Big Show spoke about his match later tonight with Erick Rowan. Henry said to just go hurry up and beat him so that they can go eat.
- Heath Slater & Titus O'Neil def. Los Matadores in tag-team action.
- Renee Young interviewed Seth Rollins backstage. Rollins was asked about the cinder block incident with Dean Ambrose from RAW, but said he doesn't owe an explanation for his actions. He spoke about Jack Swagger letting his country down in the Flag Match at SummerSlam. Swagger came in, the two argued, setting up a match between the two at SmackDown.
- Big Show def. Erick Rowan in singles action in the main event of Main Event. Both Henry and Luke Harper were at ringside during the bout. At one point, one of the turnbuckles came off the corner. Both guys on the outside got involved near the finish, which saw Show hit his KO punch out of nowhere for the 1-2-3 to end this week's edition of WWE Main Event.
