Highlight Reel With Chris Jericho, The Authority, John Cena and Roman Reigns

This week's show begins with Chris Jericho in the middle of his ring entrance. The ring has the "Highlight Reel" set already good to go and as we reported earlier today, the "Highlight Reel" segment will be opening this week's show.

Jericho begins on the mic, after letting the fans in Des Moines get some "Y2J" chants out of their system, by saying "welcome to, RAW ...is ...Jericho!" JBL says he's bored already. Jericho starts to talk about his guest tonight, basically calling him spoiled.

With that being said, as Jericho goes to introduce Randy Orton, he is interupted by the "King of Kings" theme song. Out walks Triple H, Kane, Seth Rollins and Kane, all wearing suits.

Jericho tells Orton he expected him to come out by himself. Kane goes to "remind" Jericho something but HHH tells him it's okay, "he's got this." Triple H says Jericho is the man who never grew up, which he says he means literally and figuratively. HHH says he has more important business to conduct right now. Jericho says he usually conducts important business when his wife is in jail. HHH mocks a scarf that Jericho is wearing. Jericho responds by mocking HHH's pink tie. HHH says, "it's violet, nimrod."

Triple H goes on to say Jericho should be thanking him for making this the most historic Highlight Reel in history. HHH says he has been re-watching the SummerSlam match between Brock Lesnar and John Cena recently. He says it might not be best for business to have a rematch between Cena and Lesnar. The crowd boo's. He says he is contemplating naming a new number one contender for Night Of Champions.

As Jericho goes to question who HHH will give the title shot against Lesnar to now, Orton interupts him and talks about himself as the guy who deserves the match. Kane follows and talks about how when he picks up a certain mask, he can unleash a demon on the "Beast Incarnate." Rollins talks next and the fans immediately cheer. He says "maybe the future has already arrived." The fans chant "Rollins! Rollins!" Michael Cole points out that Rollins is from Iowa, where RAW is tonight. Jericho then puts in his bid for the title shot by running down some of his accolades, however he is interupted by John Cena's theme song.

Cena walks to the ring with a purpose, nothing like his usual walk to the ring on RAW each week. Cena, in the ring now, gets on the mic and asks HHH what the hell he is talking about. Cena says if HHH takes his title shot away from him he will take him to court and sue him. He says he'll then become the new COO of WWE and his first order of business will be to fire HHH. Cena reiterates that at Night Of Champions, he's not only going in to beat Brock Lesnar, he's going in to beat Brock Lesnar's ass.

HHH responds by saying, "Wow." He mockingly references Cena's aforementioned threat to sue him. HHH gets serious now and talks about he knows what his job is. He gets in Cena's face and says he does what is best for business every single day. HHH says he doesn't think Cena as World Heavyweight Champion is no longer what's best for business. He says, however, that Cena's career being ended by Lesnar at Night Of Champions is not good for business at all. Rollins chimes in and says he should let Cena have his match. He says if an opportunity presents itself, there's always plan B, referencing his Money In The Bank title shot. Orton asks what happened to his rematch dating back to WrestleMania.

Now Jericho chimes in and reminds Orton that since WrestleMania he's had 1,000 title matches and has succeeded a grand total of "never." He brings up the fact that Roman Reigns Superman punched and speared him at SummerSlam. Orton talks about how if Reigns were here right now he'd drop him right where he stands. Now Reigns' theme song hits and the camera pans to the crowd. We see Roman Reigns making his way to the ring through the crowd as he always does.

Reigns gets in the ring and tells Orton, "well here I am Randy, drop me." He tells Orton that he's all talk. Reigns tells Kane and Rollins that they don't seem too happy to see him either. He asks if they're still bummed that he ruined their eulogy for Dean Ambrose last week. Reigns says they still have unfinished business, but the business seems to be for the title and if that's the case, his name belongs in that mix. HHH says he's going to give everyone in the ring right now a chance to prove themselves tonight and find out who stands tall. He says Cena, Jericho and Reigns will take on Rollins, Orton and Kane. He says then we'll find out who can earn their spot and prove that they deserve it. He says he'll be sitting at ringside and he'll be watching to find out.

Rollins tries to get a sneak shot in on Reigns with his Money In The Bank briefcase, but Reigns sees it coming and hits him with a Superman punch. HHH, Kane, Orton and Rollins exit the ring and Reigns stands in the ring with the briefcase. Rollins demands he give it back so Reigns throws it at him. The fans boo Reigns, as they seem to be 100,000% behind their hometown man, Seth Rollins, tonight in Des Moines, Iowa.

Backstage: Tag-Team Action Is Coming Up Next

We see Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler backstage heading to the ring. Jerry Lawler says they'll be taking on Cesaro and The Miz next. On that note, we head to our first commercial break of the evening.

Sheamus & Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro & The Miz (with Damien Mizdow)

When we return from commercial, all four guys are already at ringside, along with Damien "Miz-dow," who is with Cesaro and The Miz.

The bell rings and here we go with tag-team action. The first match of tonight's RAW opens with Cesaro and Ziggler in the ring. Ziggler jumps off to an early offensive advantage, however it isn't long before the heels take over. We head to a mid-match commercial.

We're back from the break and we see Cesaro taking it to Sheamus. Meanwhile, the announcers point out that The Miz is being attended to by Damien Mizdow, his stunt double, and his makeup artist, which is some chick who is also at ringside.

Sheamus starts making his comeback as the fans begin chanting for Ziggler. Cesaro cuts Sheamus' comeback short and takes control of the offense once again. Cesaro mocks Sheamus and taunts him and then goes back to work on him, nailing him with forearms and European uppercuts.

Out of nowhere, while seated on the top rope, Sheamus comes flying off with a battering-ram shoulder block, knocking Cesaro silly and allowing himself to make the tag to a fresh Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler takes the hot tag and comes in to the ring to a huge pop from the fans in Iowa. Ziggler is hitting anything that moves. The Miz tags in and Ziggler immediately goes to work on him as well. Cesaro tries to interfere but Sheamus knocks him, and himself, out to the floor.

Miz is outside the ring now and he tells his stunt double to take his place. Sandow takes his goofy ass suit off and enters the ring. As the referee argues with him, Miz slides in the ring from behind and nails Ziggler with the Skull Crushing Finale for the 1-2-3.

Winners: Cesaro & The Miz

Growing Up Bella

We see highlights of Nikki Bella attacking Brie Bella on RAW last week. From there, we see a bunch of photos of The Bella Twins growing up as kids in a segment WWE called, "Growing Up Bella." From there, we shoot to a pre-taped interview with Nikki. Nikki tells a story about how her sister, Brie Bella, stole her boyfriend in high school. From there, we head to commercial.

Cameron, Eva Marie & Rosa Mendes vs. Layla, Naomi & Summer Rae

When we return from commercial, we see a plug for season three of WWE Total Divas, which premieres this coming Sunday on the E! network. From there, we shoot to the ring for a six-Divas tag-match, all of whom are part of the cast of Total Divas.

The bell rings and here we go. On one team we have Cameron, Eva Marie and Rosa Mendes. On the other team, we have Layla, Naomi and Summer Rae. Early on, Layla gets the offensive advantage over Rosa.

Eva, Cameron and Rosa end up teaming up on Layla and beating her down. This causes everyone to hit the ring and a big brawl ensues. Naomi ends up hitting her former tag-team partner Cameron with her "Rear View" finisher. After the match, we head to another commercial break.

Winners: Layla, Naomi & Summer Rae

Mark Henry & Big Show vs. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan

When we return from commercial, Mark Henry and Big Show are in the middle of making their ring entrance. From there, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan make their way to the ring.

The bell rings and here we go with tag-team action. Henry and Rowan start things off and Henry immediately jumps off to an offensive lead in the match. The fans seem to be chanting "let's go Harper" as Henry and Rowan battle, although I could be hearing that wrong because it doesn't make any sense. Sure sounds like that's what they're chanting though.

Anyways, Henry is dominating Rowan in the corner, stomping on him with all of his weight and following that up by putting the boots to him. JBL and Cole bicker on commentary because Cole made a simple mistake while calling the action. Harper ends up tagging in and immediately taking control of the offensive flow of the match. He gets Henry down for a near fall and is in firm control as we head to a mid-match commercial.

We're back from the break and the first thing we see is Rowan holding Henry in a headlock. The fans are chanting whatever they were earlier, which still sounds like "let's go Harper," but again, that makes zero sense since he's not in the ring right now.

Harper tags in seconds after that and goes to work on Henry in the corner. Henry finally crawls his way towards Big Show and tags him in. The crowd pretty much doesn't react at all to Big Show finally getting the hot tag. Regardless, Big Show is hitting anything that moves. Just as I say that, Harper slams Big Show back-first into the barricade and then stares at the camera with his crazy eyes.

Rowan and Big Show are now the legal men in this match, and they're both in the ring. Rowan is working on Big Show as we see Rusev and Lana come out and stand on top of the stage. Rusev, of course, has his Russian flag with him. The camera keeps shooting back to them in between spots in the ring.

A-ha! As much as this makes no sense right now, as Harper is beating up on Big Show in the ring, it's quite clear that the fans are chanting "Sexual Chocolate." That sounds like the chants I confused as being "let's go Harper" earlier in the match. Anyways, Rowan goes for a bodyslam on Big Show but can't get him up. Big Show ends up hitting Rowan with a DDT.

Henry and Harper tag in and Henry immediately goes to work on him, hitting him with a big splash in the corner. Right as Henry goes to hit Harper with "The World's Strongest Slam," Rusev strikes and nails Henry with a kick to the face. This gives Big Show and Henry the win via disqualification.

Winners via Disqualification: Mark Henry & Big Show

After The Match:

Rusev goes to continue his beat down of Henry, but Big Show enters the ring with a chair and scares him off.

Growing Up Bella Part Two

After the tag-team match, we see another "Growing Up Bella" segment. Some more pictures of them as kids are shown and then Nikki Bella talks about when they first got their license and started driving. She talks about how Brie stole their car and got in a car accident. When the police arrived, Brie gave them Nikki's license and pretended to be her, getting Nikki in trouble. After this segment finishes, we head to another commercial.

Paul Heyman Speaks For Brock Lesnar

When we return from commercial, Justin Roberts introduces Paul Heyman. He comes out and says his client has authorized him to talk to everyone tonight. He talks about how Cena is stubborn for not listening to the legends in the Hall Of Fame Forum last week who warned him not to fight Lesnar again at Night Of Champions. He says the same about HHH warning him not to fight Lesnar in the opening segment of tonight's RAW. With that said, Heyman walks off and the announcers talk about Lesnar-Cena II.

Jack Swagger (with Zeb Colter) vs. Curtis Axel

Jack Swagger makes his way to the ring, but pauses. Out comes the returning Zeb Colter, who accompanies Swagger to the ring. Already in the ring is Swagger's oppoent for tonight, Curtis Axel.

The bell rings and here we go. During the match, Bo Dallas and a bunch of fans are at the top of the stage. The announcers reference them a lot during the match and the camera shoots them a lot during the match.

Swagger controls Axel for the majority of the match as the announcers pretty much ignore the action inside the ring. Axel gets in a few moves, but for the most part, Swagger squashes him and pins him.

Winner: Jack Swagger

After The Match:

After the match, Bo Dallas gets on the mic and taunts Swagger and Colter. He talks about how they let everyone down in the Flag Match against Rusev at SummerSlam. He introduces the three fans seated at the top of the stage with him. They are Richie, Angela and Jennifer. One-by-one, Dallas talks about how Swagger let them and the country down by losing. He asks the three fans to stand, put their right hand over their hearts and repeat after him, "All you have to do is Bo-Lieve." His theme hits and we head to commercial.

Adam Rose vs. Titus O'Neil (with Heath Slater)

When we return from commercial Adam Rose, who now has a beard, is in the middle of making his entrance to the ring. Already in the ring is Titus O'Neil and Heath Slater. Slater drops down to the floor.

The bell rings and here we go with one-on-one action between Rose and O'Neil. Early on, O'Neil manhandles the smaller Rose. The Exotic Express, namely the person in the big bunny outfit, is shown at ringside quite a bit during the match.

Slater ends up knocking the bunny on his ass, however the bunny drops Slater and starts punching the hell out of him on the ground. This distraction allows Rose to roll O'Neil up and pin him for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Adam Rose

Growing Up Bella Part Three

After the Rose-O'Neil match we head to our third "Growing Up Bella" segment with Nikki Bella. We see a bunch of Bella Twins pictures, followed by Nikki telling another story. This time, Nikki talks about Brie struggling at school and asking Nikki to take a test for her, which Nikki passed with flying colors, while Brie got all of the credit.

Rusev (with Lana) vs. Zack Ryder

Following the third "Growing Up Bella" segment, Rusev and Lana make their way to the ring. Before we find out who their opponent is, we head to a commercial break.

When we return from commercial, after an obnoxious WWE Network plug, Rusev and Lana are shown in the ring. Lana gets on the mic and talks trash about the U.S. and Labor Day. Finally, we see Zack Ryder standing behind them.

Lana finishes by telling everyone in America that they "suck" and then the bell rings. Ryder goes right at Rusev, but within seconds, Rusev is dominating Ryder with ease. Seconds later, in a match that lasted all of maybe one minute, Rusev slaps "The Accolade" on Ryder and Ryder taps out.

Winner: Rusev

After The Match:

After his easy win, Rusev is celebrating in the ring but not for long, as Mark Henry's theme music hits. Henry comes out and Rusev runs out of the ring away from "The World's Strongest Man." Henry gets on the mic and says Rusev is scared, but that's okay, because he's scared too. He's scared about what he'll do when he finally gets his hands on Rusev. He talks about how U.S.A. is the strongest country in the world. Henry talks about opening an international wing in the "Hall Of Pain," and he says Rusev is going to be the first inductee.

Backstage: Triple H and Stephanie McMahon

Backstage, we see Triple H and Stephanie McMahon talking. They talk about the Bella Twins issue. HHH talks about how cute Stephanie is and then Stephanie says she can't wait to see Bella's face when she makes "the" announcement. She asks HHH to wish her luck. He does. We head to commercial.

In-Ring Segment: Stephanie McMahon, Bella Twins, AJ Lee & Paige

When we return from commercial, Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring, looking absolutely delicious, by the way. She addresses Nikki Bella's "Growing Up Bella" segments that have been airing throughout the show. She asks Nikki to come to the ring.

Nikki comes to the ring and Stephanie tells her she looks beautiful. Nikki says it's good to have someone on her side. Stephanie tells her that she's proud of her. She talks about how selfish Brie is and says Nikki is the face of the Diva's division that she's looking for. She tells her that she's giving her a shot at the Divas title and then the two hug.

The Bella Twins music hits again and Stephanie orders it to be cut off. She says from now on, that music is reserved for Nikki. Brie enters the ring and asks Nikki if this is what it's all been about, a Divas title match. She asks if that's why she's been telling lies about her all night long.

As Nikki talks trash about Brie and talks about how she's going to be the next Divas Champion, AJ Lee's music hits and she comes out skipping around as usual. Before she can say a word, the "CM Punk" chants break out.

AJ says Stephanie may have forgotten how things work, but she's deserving of a title match because she never had her rematch yet. She tells her to let the Bella Twins work out their little issues among themselves. As Stephanie goes to address AJ, Paige's theme music hits and out she comes.

Paige comes skipping down to the ring with the WWE Divas Championship. As Paige goes to talk, Nikki interupts her. Nikki talks to Brie again and says she'll forgive her if she sacrifices for her as much as she's sacrificed for her all of these years.

Nikki asks Brie to quit. She yells at Brie to quit like she always does. Brie pauses and thinks about it, but instead turns around and pushes Nikki hard. Nikki crashes into Paige and they both fall down. Brie leaves. AJ grabs the Divas title and skips around the ring as Stephanie watches. Steph blocks AJ from skipping any further and AJ's music stops. Steph orders AJ to give her the Divas title. AJ smiles and gives it to her and then leaves. That segment was god awful, by the way. After this segment ends, we head to another commercial.

When we return from commercial, Bray Wyatt is shown backstage. Bray talks about his cage match on next week's RAW, which is against Chris Jericho. His promo is kept pretty short and his one word of advice for Jericho is simply, "run."

Jimmy Uso (with Jey Uso) vs. Goldust (with Stardust)

We head to the ring now and The Usos make their entrance. Michael Cole points out that Jimmy Uso's leg is wrapped up after the attack he suffered at the hands of Goldust and Stardust last week.

Goldust and Stardust come to the ring. Goldust gets on the mic but before he can say much of anything, Uso attacks him.

The bell rings and here we go with one-on-one action between Goldust and Jimmy Uso. Uso dominates for the most part early on until the action spilled out to the floor.

Out on the floor, Stardust helps with some sneak attacks and then sends Uso back in the ring. Goldust hits him with his Final Cut finisher and pins him, 1-2-3. It actually might've been Jey Uso wrestling this match with Goldust, it was not made totally clear on commentary as a lot was going on.

Winner: Goldust

After The Match:

After the victory, Goldust and Stardust weren't satisfied. The Dust Brothers attacked The Usos and smashed the injured knee of Jey Uso into the ring post in a violent fashion. Ringside medics and trainers come to his aid. We see replays of Stardust smashing a chair on Jey's leg, which was set up against the ring post. After the attack, we head to commercial.

Backstage: Mark Henry & Big Show

We return from commercial and the first thing we see is Mark Henry and Big Show backstage talking about Rusev. Henry talks about the Rusev stuff but Big Show is more concerned about how they could be the most dominant tag-team in history. Big Show finally says okay, and tells him he'll be in his corner. Henry says he appreciates that but he needs to do that by himself and for his country.

John Cena, Roman Reigns & Chris Jericho vs. Seth Rollins, Randy Orton & Kane

We see highlights of the opening Highlight Reel segment and then Triple H and Stephanie McMahon join Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler and JBL at ringside for commentary. They are out to sit at the announce table for tonight's main event.

John Cena makes his way out first. In the middle of Cena's entrance, Michael Cole takes us to a commercial break.

We return from commercial to see Roman Reigns coming through the crowd, making his way to the ring. After him, Chris Jericho makes his way to the ring, wrapping up the entrances for the babyface side of tonight's main event.

After the babyfaces finish up their walks to the ring, when Jericho's music stops, Seth Rollins is the first member of the heel team to make his entrance to the ring. Rollins, who as noted is from Iowa, gets a huge pop from the Des Moines crowd. Out next is Randy Orton and Kane, both of whom come out to Orton's music together.

The bell rings and here we go with tonight's main event. Reigns and Orton start things off for their teams. Reigns immediately takes it to "The Viper." As Reigns takes it to Orton, the fans in Iowa break out in a loud "we want Rollins" chant. Reigns dominates Orton to the point that he heads out of the ring to regroup. On that note, we head to a mid-match commercial.

When we return from the break, the heels are still firmly in control of the action in the ring. It's worth noting, by the way, that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, who I mentioned were at ringside for this match, are not at the commentary table. Instead, they are simply seated near the ring and are not providing guest commentary for the match as I had originally thought.

Meanwhile, back in the ring, Orton and Reigns are the legal men and Orton is taking it to the big man after the help of some double-team action from Rollins and Kane moments ago.

As the action continues, all hell breaks loose. Everyone, one-by-one, enters the ring and a big broo-ha-ha breaks out (I'm positive I didn't spell that right, but you get the idea). When the smoke clears, Jericho and Rollins are the legal men and both men are down.

We see a shot of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at ringside. HHH stands up out of his chair and we see Jericho hit Rollins with the Codebreaker. On that note, which is odd timing, we head to another mid-match commercial, likely the final break of the evening.

We're back from the break and the first thing we see is Orton slamming Jericho. He covers him for a pin attempt but Jericho kicks out at two. We see highlights from the break of Orton interupting Jericho's pin attempt after he hit the aforementioned Codebreaker.

Rollins tags in and he picks up where Orton left off, taking it to Jericho in the middle of the ring. We see a shot of HHH and Stephanie watching on from ringside once again. Jericho finally cuts Rollins short. He crawls to make the tag and the crowd gets excited, but Rollins tags in Kane and Kane stops him from getting to his corner.

Kane continues to deliver punishment to Jericho as we see a shot of HHH and Stephanie watching from ringside. The fans break out in "Y2J" chants as Jericho starts chopping Kane to death, trying to fight his way back into the match. Kane cuts him short with a big boot and then tags Orton back into the match.

As the heels think they've got Jericho under control, literally out of nowhere, Jericho "matter-of-factly" tags Cena in out of the blue. Cena takes the hot tag, the crowd explodes and Cena is on fire, hitting anything that moves. Cena hoists up Kane for the Attitude Adjustment. He looks right at HHH and Steph and hits it. He tags in Reigns.

Reigns plays to the crowd and then hits the spear on Kane. He covers him. 1-2-3. Reigns scores the pin and the babyfaces pick up the victory. HHH and Steph are shown looking pissed at ringside.

Winners: John Cena, Roman Reigns & Chris Jericho

After The Match:

After the match, out on the floor, while HHH and Steph are flipping out, Rollins tries to attack Cena, however Cena ends up hitting an Attitude Adjustment on him on the announce table.
