Court Bauer Not Really A Hollywood Writer?, WWE's Opinion On Cesaro, Why WWE Cancelled Cheap Pops

Wrestling Observer's Mike Sempervive has an ongoing thread on the Wrestling Observer forum with unsolicited addendum's from people that work in WWE. They are basically thoughts, opinions, and musings on things that have been reported or questions to things asked online. Below are some of the things sent in to Sempervive.

QUESTION - is it true that court bauer worked a desk job booking plane tickets for most of his time in wwe as a way to get him away from creative?

ANSWER: I’d heard similar rumors, but not having been there at the time can’t say if it’s true or not. I do know he’s been caught in the past exaggerating his role in television shows, particularly “Eastbound and Down.” He did something for them, but he was never a writer for that show even though at one point he was claiming as such. Although I’m sure in this forum of all places that’s already well known.

QUESTION - What's the current opinion of Cesaro and why was he let go from his original contract in 2006?

ANSWER: 2006 is considered “ancient history” and is used to show guys that even if you’re rejected or released, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. As for the current opinion of him, everyone seems to universally love the guy. He’s regarded as a great worker and a really, really nice guy. With the exception of some pieces of garbage, everyone was/is rooting for him. Vince unfortunately sees some potential but doesn’t “get” him, as is the case with a lot of guys.

QUESTION - What's the story on Cheap Pops rise and fall?

ANSWER: Vince found out about it.
