Never one to shy away from controversy, Shawn Michaels got the wrestling community talking following his recent appearance on Vince Russo's new podcast, "The Brand," which is available at PodcastOne.com.
During his appearance on the show, Michaels explained to Russo why he doesn't miss being in the ring for WWE these days.
“Everybody asks me, ‘Do you miss it?’ No, I don’t miss it because what’s on TV now isn’t what I used to do. So it’s easy not to miss.”
Additionally, "The Heartbreak Kid" spoke about his belief that regardless of what the creative team puts forth, as long as "wrestling" is in the title, hardcore fans will keep watching no matter what.
“I get what those hardcore fans say and they don’t like it, but at the same time, and I’m going to get a lot of heat for this, but it is true: You do keep watching. The ratings may go down, but we’re not losing you.”
