9/19 WWE SmackDown House Show Results from Tupelo, MS

- WWE once again hosts another Monday Night house show featuring the Superstars of
the Smackdown Brand. The original card advertised over a month ago was WWE World
Champion Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles, Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt (w/Erik Rowan)
Intercontinental Champion The Miz w/Maryse vs. Dolph Ziggler, Kane vs. Alberto Del
Rio, and obviously Del Rio was released from WWE recently. This was updated last
week to a Double Main Event of WWE World Champion AJ Styles vs. Ambrose vs.
Ziggler , Orton vs. Wyatt (w/Rowan). Also IC Champion The Miz (w/Maryse) vs
Apollo Crews and Jason Jordan vs. Aiden English. The updated card all happened
with no changes to it.

1) Apollo Crews defeated IC Champion The Miz (w/Maryse) with a Spin Out Power Bomb
in a Non Title Match. Before the match Miz got on the mic and talked about how he
is the most must see Superstar and Greatest IC Champ of all time. Good opener with
the same similar matches they had recently.

2) The Hype Bros. defeated The Ascension with they Hype Ryder finisher on Viktor.
Ryder/ Mojo were pretty over with crowd.

3) Jason Jordan defeated Aiden English (w/ Simon Gotch) with an Olympic Slam.
Jordan is a pretty solid wrestler and has done well in singles competition Latley.

4) SmackDown Tag Team Champions Rhyno and Heath Slater defeated Breezeango and The
Usos in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match to retain the SD Tag Titles when Rhyno
pinned Tyler Breeze after hitting the Gore. This was a really good action packed
Match. Rhyno/Slater received good pops and Usos got some heat for turning heel
recently.

5) Main Event # 1- Randy Orton pinned Bray Wyatt (w/Erick Rowan) after an RKO.
Towards the end of the match Rowan tried to interfere but the Viper delivered an
RKO to him as well. Randy was very popular and celebrated with the fans. Cena
wasn't scheduled to be here obviously but I thought there was chance Randy would be
involved in a tag match with Kane or another against Wyatt and Rowan because of his
recent injuries because last Monday in VA he teamed with Cena to defeat Wyatt and
Rowan in a limited role and didn't take any bumps. It looks like he's getting
healthy again at full Strength.

6) Baron Corbin defeated Jack Swagger with the End of Days finisher.

7) SmackDown Woman's Champion Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella and Naomi defeated Natalya,
Alexa Bliss and Carmela when Becky made Natty tap out to the Disarm-her submission.

8) Main Event # 2- WWE World Hvt. Champion AJ Styles defeated Dolph Ziggler and
Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat Match to retain the World Title when AJ hit the
Styles Clash on Ziggler for the win. Afterwards Dolph gave Styles a Super Kick into
the Dirty Deeds by Dean to send the crowd home happy. Great performance by all
Three men with lots of back and fourth action and near falls. Styles had mixed
reactions and Ziggler and Ambrose were over with the crowd.

Overall a good house show with a lot of good action and entertainment. The
Bancorp South Arena was about half full.
