Word from WWE sources say that the final WrestleMania 22 buyrate is expected to be a little over 1 million buys. This will include international and domestic buys. Due to the slow reporting from the international cable/satellite companies, the final figure is being delayed. WWE increased the number of international distributors this year. In addition, the company recently switched pay-per-view operations from a third-party company to in-house management.
Shawn Michaels was expected to take on a lighter traveling schedule this summer. Vince McMahon was able to talk him into continuing with the full time schedule to help out the company. McMahon seems concerned with the lack of experienced babyfaces and needs as many guys like Michaels on board as possible.
