It was announced at last night’s SmackDown! tapings in Portland, Oregon that WWE Champion Rey Mysterio will face former ECW World Champion Sabu at ECW’s One Night Stand PPV on June 11th in New York City.
Sharing a very similar style, this will be the first time that Sabu and Rey have faced each other in a singles match. They locked up once before in a tag match during an international tour promoted by John Arezzi in 1993, however, it is still believed they’ve never faced one another.
