Backstage News on Current Plans for Roman Reigns

-- With Roman Reigns technically not qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match, there was speculation that he would instead be facing Brock Lesnar for the Universal title at the PPV. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, that is not the plan as Lesnar is not even scheduled for the PPV whereas Reigns is likely headed into a program with Jinder Mahal.

-- It was also noted by Meltzer that WWE is still trying to tell a story where Reigns is like Daniel Bryan and is continually being "screwed" by management as the reason he isn't the champion yet. Bryan Alvarez pointed out that the story doesn't make sense as he hasn't really been screwed over but that they have no other ideas for Reigns at the moment.

-- It was discussed that the only way that they might be able to get Reigns over is to bring back Vince McMahon as a weekly character, but that idea would lose its novelty quickly and get old.
