Ric Flair Undergoes Successful Surgery; Lars Sullivan's Injury is Part of a Storyline

-- Ric Flair's surgery which took place on 7/9 was to eliminate the need for a colostomy bag. It was a "touchy operation" but was deemed a success. He has had to carry around the bag since last year and talked about how much of an inconvenience it was when traveling and working out. He is expected to be released from hospital by this weekend, if not already, and then will spend the next few weeks resting at home before he plans to go back on the road to work.

-- In a correction on an earlier headline about Lars Sullivan breaking his jaw, it appears it is all a storyline. The guess is that the company wanted to tell the story that Sullivan was so tough that he broke his jaw early in the match against Aleister Black but that he kept on wrestling which also would protect him when he ended up losing - his first loss since they began pushing him. Sullivan is now being kept off of shows for a while to sell the injury as something legitimate.
