Backstage News on IC Tite Match Change; Officials Feel That SummerSlam is Lacking Excitement

-- In a follow up to the a previous report that WWE will be changing the scheduled Intercontinental title match between Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins, on a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said he "asked around" and that there is "talk" that the match may be changed, perhaps to a multi-person match. He added that if WWE decides to change it up, it could happen tonight on Raw when Rollins battles Drew McIntyre.

-- One of the reasons many believe this match will be changed is because Rollins and Ziggler just wrestled in a 30-minute Iron Match and it seems somewhat strange that WWE would book them to wrestle again at SummerSlam, but in a straight up singles match with no stipulations.

-- On a somewhat related note, @WrestleVotes is reporting that some WWE officials feel that this year's SummerSlam lacks "excitement" with the event only 20 days away and that perhaps tonight on Raw, the company will make some moves to fix that.
