TNA is no longer pursuing a Kurt Angle vs. Bob Sapp program. Sapp is currently going through some complicated contract issues with K1 in Japan and thus they won't bother in trying to get him for the time being.
Kurt Angle hasn't taken on the role of being a locker room leader in part because numerous TNA sources say he seems a little "out there." One wrestler said, "He's insane. It's like it's real to him." Apparently, Angle seems to want to relive his Olympic glory days in pro wrestling world, and he has such an intensity and passion about what he does, but in a way that comes across as if he takes wrestling matches more seriously than most are comfortable with or used to.
One wrestler who has worked with Vince Russo in the past says he isn't the same person he was before. The wrestler said, "He's really changed. He shrugs off criticism now when in the past he would have argued or gotten in their face."
