Ring Announcer: Lilian Garcia

Greetings. We're just hours away from No Way Out but Heat has a star studded lineup on tap this week. Cryme Tyme are in the house and on hand to make their Heat debut. On that note let's get straight to the action which begins this week with.........

Kenny Dykstra vs Val Venis
Grisham dubs Kenny the 20 year old phenom. Coachman mentions this is the 446th edition of Heat. According to him Heat is the longest running international sports entertainment one hour programme on TV. Grisham says Val has been on about 400 of those shows. Coachman says once in a while it's called Venis Heat as Val is synonymous with it. Grisham adds Val picks up an occasional win but always puts on a good match. This sums up Val these days in a nutshell as Coachman looks back on his former glories before speculating on whether Val can get back to where he once was. We don't get to see Val's recipient of the towel. Kenny starts off with boots, punches, a mock gyration and a boot choke in the corner. Val comes back with a clothesline, series of punches, backelbow, slam and kneedrop off the ropes for a nearfall. Val lands a chop and a suplex. After sustaining some shots in the corner Kenny reverses an Irish whip. Val backdrops a charging Kenny onto the apron who quickly pokes the eyes then brings the back of Val's throat down across the top rope. Kenny gains nearfalls following stomps, a forearm drop and suplex. Following a series of chokes in the ropes Kenny Irish whips Val hard into the corner resulting in Val hitting the mat. After a nearfall and a brief chinlock choke across the bottom rope Kenny drags Val to the middle of the ring where he drops an elbow across the throat and applies a rear naked choke. Val escapes and charges but Kenny hangs him up on the top rope before beating on Val's head with punches. Kenny pulls Val up into two short arm clotheslines for a nearfall. Kenny applies a chinlock, Val backelbows so Kenny switches to a front facelock. Both exchange shots before Kenny sends Val off the ropes who telegraphs a dropkick by hanging onto the ropes. Val goes to the corner and boots away a charging Kenny before sidestepping his second charge and surprising him with a rollup for a nearfall. Val takes Kenny down with a clothesline, backelbow and shove. Val chops then backbodydrops Kenny off the ropes. Kenny blocks a half nelson slam, elbows free then charges into a spinebuster. Val signals for the Money Shot but Kenny grabs his leg. Val breaks Kenny's grip with a punch and chop. Val Irish whips but charges into a backelbow. Kenny goes up top so Val kicks Kenny's leg to crotch him. Val chops and starts to climb but Kenny shoves him off. Kenny gets down, stalks Val and finishes him off with a roll the dice neckbreaker. 1-2-3. Good match to kick things off. Finally Kenny wins with something other than a tights grabbing rollup. Now give him a push in the midcard. Here is Your Winner: KENNY DYKSTRA.

Scotty 2 Hotty vs Shelton Benjamin w/Charlie Haas
Scotty pulls double duty this week following his appearance on SmackDown! which begs the question which brand is he on? The announcers neglect to shed any light on this. Scotty gets down with Lilian a little while he waits on Shelton. Coachman makes a tasteless innuendo about Lilian which I won't repeat in case of young readers. Coachman says Shelton is the most underrrated superstar in WWE. I used to think that now I think it's Carlito. Shelton begins with a series of knees and punches. Shelton goes for a suplex, Scotty slips behind and punches back. Shelton reverses an Irish whip but runs into a boot. Scotty charges and hits a tilt-a-whirl headscissors then plays to the crowd. Scotty goes for a mounted ten punch assault in the corner but Shelton shoves him off at three. Shelton kicks a charging Scotty in his left knee then goes to work. Shelton attacks with stomps, mat rams and a legsweep before dropping his arm onto Scotty's leg and wrenching away getting some nearfalls in the process. Shelton drives a knee into the leg before wrenching away again. Scotty uses his other leg to kick free. Shelton takes Scotty down and applies a single leg boston crab before breaking to kick at the leg. Shelton lifts and drops Scotty down onto his leg. Shelton cuts off a Scotty fightback with a boot to the face. Shelton ties Scotty's leg up in the ropes for further punishment. Scotty fights out of the corner with punches and an enziguiri kick. Scotty with more punches and two shoves. Shelton cuts off an Irish whip with a boot. Shelton goes to lift and drop Scotty onto his leg again but Scotty counters it into a messy looking spinning DDT. Scotty drapes an arm over Shelton for a nearfall. Scotty nails his bulldog and takes his time before going for the W-O-R-M. Haas pulls Shelton out before Scotty can make contact. Scotty takes Haas out with a low dropkick. Scotty throws Shelton back in. From the apron Scotty drives his head into Shelton's gut before sunset flipping back in. Shelton drops down hooking Scotty's leg and Haas from the outside to get the cheap 1-2-3. Here is Your Winner: SHELTON BENJAMIN. Match told a nice story of Shelton working a body part but I would have preferred a clean finish as it made Shelton look weak. On the flip side nice heel tactics shown by the World's Greatest Tag Team.

Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs Cryme Tyme
Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo welcome to Heat Cryme Tyme. The Crymers get a big pop and the audience is hot for them throughout. JTG reminds me of Nelly the rapper. Grisham reminds us Cryme Tyme are the No 1 Contenders for the World Tag Team Championship. JTG gets the crowd going to start as Shad throws a shirt into the crowd. Murdoch gains the upperhand with a boot and slap to the back of JTG. Murdoch hooks JTG's chin then throws him to the corner for some chops and clubs. Murdoch jawjacks with the crowd. Murdoch Irish whips, JTG floats over a charge then ducks Murdoch's swing attempts. JTG comes back with punches and a corkscrew backelbow off the ropes. JTG with a side headlock and shoulder tackle to Murdoch followed by some taunting. JTG runs into a Murdoch backelbow cue Murdoch taunting JTG. Cade works over JTG with some shots but JTG comes back by leapfrogging Cade and hitting both heels with dropkicks. Shad lends a hand double clotheslining both heels by himself. As Shad fires up the heels bail outside for a breather. Cryme Tyme pose in the corner as we cut away for a John Cena "Don't Try This At Home" promo followed by commercials. We come back to see Cryme Tyme maul the heels with punches. As Shad is ushered out JTG ducks a Cade clothesline but Murdoch clocks him from behind on the apron allowing Cade to boot him down and drop a double axehandle across the back. Cade holds JTG for a Murdoch gut shot. Murdoch backelbows JTG then boots him into the corner where Murdoch slugs away with a series of clotheslines. Murdoch slams then Cade lifts his partner for a legdrop onto JTG. Cade stomps JTG then ponders a powerbomb or double underhook move before settling on levelling JTG with a clothesline for a couple of nearfalls. Cade holds JTG for some Murdoch chest chops. Murdoch with a snapmare and crossfaces to the head. Murdoch traps JTG's head in a vice. JTG backelbows out then telegraphs a backbodydrop attempt by booting Murdoch down. JTG goes for a tag but Murdoch tags out first and Cade knocks Shad off the apron. Cade Irish whips JTG then Shad causes a distraction allowing the heels to put the boots to JTG in the corner. Cade smiles as he rakes JTG's face then chokes him in the ropes with his hands. Murdoch boots the head from the apron before Cade stomps on the back. Cade hooks JTG's leg allowing Murdoch to drop a forearm. Murdoch taunts JTG telling him to get up. Murdoch clubs the back then slams. Murdoch goes for a Vader Bomb but JTG gets his knees up and both men tag out. Shad cleans house with three clotheslines to each heel. Shad fires up before throwing Murdoch through the ropes. During this Murdoch loses his trunks which thankfully we don't get to see. Cade runs the ropes, JTG clips his head from behind allowing Shad to take Cade down with a big boot. Shad covers 1-2-3. Here Are Your Winners: CRYME TYME. Shad didn't get much ring time but it's probably for the best as he's still a bit green. Nevertheless Cryme Tyme are a cult favourite with the crowd. I see a lot of upside in them too.

As Cryme Tyme stand with their arms raised Grisham signs off and thanks us for watching to end the show.

Best Match: Kenny Dykstra vs Val Venis.
Worst Match: None.
A really good edition of Heat this week. Nothing bad, well worth a look.

Quick No Way Out predictions: UNDERTAKER & BATISTA: BOBBY LASHLEY: TEAM FINLAY: KANE: DEUCE 'N' DOMINO: GREGORY HELMS: KRISTAL:
I think tonight will be the night that either Shawn Michaels superkicks John Cena or Cena gives HBK the FU. There could be a swerve in that Batista walks out on Undertaker but I think it will be Team Raw that implodes tonight. Whichever way you look at it though I'm really looking forward to the Main Event. Bobby Lashley is receiving a monster push so I expect him to win. Why not make his match Extreme Rules as he performs better in that environment. His outing against Hardcore Holly on ECW this past week was impressive. The Kane/King Booker feud will continue past tonight. London & Kendrick always seem to lose non title matches but win the blow off match at the PPV but I think their long reign will come to an end tonight. I'm gutted about the Ladder Match being cancelled as that would have been a showstealer. At least the chances of a third Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania have been increased. I can't see anyone other than Daivari maybe getting the Cruiserweight Title off Gregory Helms as that division has really been neglected as of late which is a shame. Stick London and Kendrick in there and give the Cruisers some damn attention. Move Gregory Helms onto the US Title which reminds me where the hell are Chris Benoit and Matt Hardy on the card? Two great hands and Benoit is the US Champion for pete's sake. He should be defending the title especially on his brand's PPV. Finally I think Kristal will win the Diva competition as she plots to remove Teddy Long from the GM position and replace him with Vickie Guerrero. Well that's me done for another week. Enjoy No Way Out wherever you are. See you next weekend. Until then have a good one. Shaun.
