WWE Heat Report (06/17/07) Special In Studio Edition

WWE Heat Report-17th June 2007
By Shaun Best-Rajah.com Reporter
Hosted By: Todd Grisham (In Studio)

No Heat matches taped due to the draft on Monday night. Today's theme was shocking and surprising moments in draft history. Here's what was shown

Raw June 2005: John Cena drafts to Raw on the Highlight Reel. The clip cuts out before Christian and Tyson Tomko come out. I wonder why?

Vengeance July 2004: Edge defeats Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Title. Edge had recently drafted to Raw and was feuding with Evolution.

Raw March 2004: Shelton Benjamin upsets Triple H. Shelton has really lost steam since then.

Raw June 2005: Carlito wins the Intercontinental Title from Shelton Benajmin on his Raw debut.

SmackDown! June 2005: Randy Orton drafts to SmackDown! and aids JBL in a bout with the Undertaker.

After the first 8 draft picks are shown from this year's draft we see highlights of the Battle Royal from Raw. Randy Orton lastly eliminates Matt Hardy to net Raw Snitsky and Mr Kennedy.

Grisham plugs the supplemental draft to end the show. Heat returns to its normal format next week. Speaking of the supplemental draft the results are below:-

Raw: PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK: THE SANDMAN: DAIVARI: WILLIAM REGAL: JILLIAN HALL:

SmackDown!: KENNY DYKSTRA: HARDCORE HOLLY: MAJOR BROTHERS: VICTORIA: EUGENE

ECW: VISCERA: THE MIZ: JOHNNY NITRO

Just like Monday's draft Raw are the big winners again. I don't understand Victoria leaving Raw nor Viscera and the Sandman swapping. Although with the latter it looks like Heat may be taken to the extreme in future weeks. Why is Daivari on Raw? It looks very random. No tag teams have been split up and how come ECW didn't get five picks and tag teams class as one pick. Is Matt Hardy still on both Raw and SmackDown!. This has posed more questions than answers.

On a sombre note my condolences go out to the family and friends of Sensational Sherri who passed away over the weekend. Another wrestling alumni who passes away too soon. Finally the worked ten bell salutes and tributes need to stop as that is a bit sick. Vince should just be presumed dead and the stuff that aired on ECW and SmackDown! this past week should only be used for real obituaries. It's a major slap in the face to people like Sherri, Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero etc who are really unfortunately no longer with us.

Have a good week and I'll see you next weekend. Shaun. Comments/praise/feedback/criticism/discussion points please direct to shaunmb1@hotmail.com.
