ECW on SciFi - 7/3/07

Hey you guys know who this is. It's xpacnumber1fan here. I figured I would write up your ECW Report since it would take me like 10 seconds. So here goes.

ECW Champion Johnny Nitro beat Tommy Dreamer

C.M. Punk beat Kevin Thorn

Yea so that's basically it. I will add a bit more details though. These matches were Pick Your Poison matches. For those of you not familiar with the concept, I shall explain. Basically two opponents that will have a match in the future pick the opponents for their opponent and both future opponents face their current opponents the same night. Got it? Good.

So first up went ECW Champion Johnny "Don't Call Me Monday Night" Nitro, facing his handpicked opponent (picked by his future opponent C.M. Punk), Tommy Dreamer. Seeing as how Dreamer, Mahoney, Boogeyman, and Nunzio are the only other faces on the brand, I guess it's not that bad.

Nitro wins the match with his new swinging neckbreaker type move.

Before Punk's match, they show the Vengeance match between Punk/Nitro where Nitro won the title in it's entirety. They need a lot of filler for this show since it was just two matches. There is more filler but I'll run that down for you at the end of this report. Since they had to tape 5 hours worth of show on Monday, I guess ECW got the big cut. If you want to see what happened, read the Vengeance PPV report, RIGHT HERE, on rajah.com. Just click that little link on the left that says Results - PPV, and click Vengeance.

C.M. Punk finishes the show with his match against Kevin Thorn. Kinda interesting how Punk has beaten every single heel on ECW right now (except Big Vis and Miz who haven't debuted yet [shout out to forum member Sparky who helped me reminded me that Punk beat Cor Von two weeks ago]).

So C.M. Punk wins when after a missed G.T.S attempt, we pins Thorn with a Bandido (a roll up).

For the filler:

We got a Boogeyman vignette.

We got a C.M. Punk vignette.

We got an Extreme Expose vignette telling us that they will be back next week to show off some more uncoordinated dancing.

We got a Miz vignette.

And like I said, they showed the Vengeance match between Punk and Nitro. It was edited so that there was absolutely no mention of Benoit. I'm pretty sure Joey Styles was commentating over certain spots of the match live as well because there were times when, he, would, talk, slow, like, this, as, if, to, completely, block, out, the, old, comment.

So that was basically it for ECW. This is an unedited first run report, so excuse any mistakes on my behalf. You can bitch at this email: thecruzanhurricane@gmail.com

And on another note, I would like to thank all of you that responded to my comments on the Benoit tragedy last week. It was a very confusing time for me and I noticed that my fellow writed here on Rajah basically echoed my same sentiments. I appreciate every single piece of feedback and personally responded to all of them. Keep it up guys.

See you next week? We'll wait and see. In the meantime, this is xpacnumber1fan signing off.

P.S. Encourage all of you to check out the Forums. New blood is always welcome.
