-- Damaja aka Danny Basham looks to be done with TNA. He missed the 7/2 tapings. Although, he never got a plane ticket to fly in. But he also never called anyone regarding the situation, including his tag team partner Doug Basham. They were expecting Damaja to appear at the tapings because they had an angle for him, but he wasn't there. They figured he wasn't interested enough and they blew off the tag team at the Victory Road PPV. A few people in TNA felt as though that the team hadn't gotten over anyway, so part of it was an excuse to make a decision they were leaning towards. Jim Cornette, who worked with them in Ohio Valley Wrestling, pushed to get them in TNA. No word yet on Doug Basham's current status, but without his tag team partner, he probably doesn't have much of a future in TNA. Both wrestlers are still listed on the official TNA website at the moment. It is believed that they were on pay-per-appearance deals and that they were never officially under contract to TNA.

-- Dustin Rhodes is scheduled to do a gimmick called Platinum. The idea is to slowly morph him into as much of the old Goldust character as possible while avoiding legal implications from WWE. Instead of quoting lines from movies like he did with Goldust, he will be quoting lines from songs. When going through trademarks, they found out that an indy wrestler had trademarked the name, so he might not be called Platinum after all. Rhodes' return to TNA is a sign that Vince Russo's power is growing because he was the one pushing the hardest for his return.

-- Rhino and James Storm will have a Bar Room Brawl at the Hard Justice PPV on 8/12 that will take place in a real bar.
