Des Moines, Iowa 1/16/04

Show starts with Coach coming out to the ring and saying that he was
going to bring the entertainment to Des Moines that it never gets. He
said the only important event was the first caucus every four years.
Then he let the radio DJs from Lazer 103.3 talk a little about their
station.

First match: Chris Jericho vs. Mark Henry (w/Theodore Long)
Henry dominated most of the match. When the ref was distracted by Long
(I think), Henry tapped out to the walls of Jericho. Trish came out to
help Jericho, who was then able to give Henry the low blow and pick up
the win. Trish and Y2J celebrated in the ring. They are definitely
friends again.

Second Match: Val Venis & Lance Storm vs. Garrison Cade & Mark Jindrak
Cade and Jindrak came out first and talked s**t in the ring about how
great they were. I think Lance and Venis won but for some reason, this
match is kind of a blank.

Third Match: Maven vs. Matt Hardy Really close match. Maven did a good
looking DDT but momentum shifted to Matt, who hit the side-effect early
but in the end it was Maven who rolled Matt up for the win. Right after
the bell, Matt goes psycho on Maven and gives him the twist of fate.
Good match except for the fact that some lady behind us kept on yelling
"go Jeff!" instead of Matt.

Fourth Match: Hurricane vs. Batista
Hurricane came out first and gave this little kid a mask. At the start
of the match, Hurricane put out his hand to shake but Batista pushed him
down. Hmm. I wonder who won this one. Hurricane went for a power bomb but
didn't budge Batista. Batista countered and did his Batista Bomb-I
think-and picked up the win. Medics went in and checked on Hurricane but
he was okay.

Coach back in the ring talks about how it's a lot easier being on
Bischof's side. Then he announces he's going to bring out someone who
opposes him. I was hoping for Stone Cold but it wasn't meant to be. Out
comes Spike Dudley to the ring. He gets right up into Coach's face and
says "I think what these guys are trying to tell you is YOU SUCK!" Then
Christian runs out and beats him up. Then Coach changes the next match
from a table match with D-von and Bubba Ray vs. Test and Steiner to a 2-3
match with Christian joining Test and Steiner's team.

Match five: Table Match: D-von and Bubba Ray vs Test Steiner and
Christian(CLB)
The bad guys were winning first and Steiner went under the ring (pretty
funny) and came out with a table and set it up in the ring. The Dudley's
almost put Test through the table but Steiner pulled it out of the way.
Later, the table was set up in the corner and Christian tried to through
one of 3D through the table but he was too weak. Then Steven Richards
runs into the ring and beats the hell out of Test. Finally, the Dudleys
closed the deal with a 3D to CLB right in the middle of the ring. After
the match, they gave the same kid with the Hurricane mask the piece of
the table. Then D-von came over and autographed our get the table sign.

intermission

Match six: Women's Championship-Trish vs. Jazz (w/Teddy Long) vs. Molly
vs. Lita.
With Jazz and Molly out of the ring, Lita and Trish faught each other!
First eliminated was Lita followed by Jazz. With only Trish and Molly
left, Trish hit the Stratusfaction but Molly kicked out. I don't
remember how but Molly ended up retaining her title after a pin fall.
After all there divas left, Trish stayed and celebrated her loss? I don't
get it.

Match six: Intercontinental Championship: RVD vs. Randy Orton
RVD got off to a good start and Orton left the ring, grabbed his belt and
started to walk away. After a ring-out count of about 7, he ran back in
and attacked. Some time during the match, Batista hit RVD with the belt
and made him bleed from his head. RVD hit a rolling thunder but couldn't
win. Orton finally won with an RKO. After the match, Orton and Batista
fixed RVD's leg in a chair but got scared away when Kane's music hit.
Kane got in the ring with RVD but not to help. Can't remember what
happened because Booker T came out to his music.

Main Event: No DQ Kane vs. Booker T
Great match. Several momentum shifts. Booker T nails a scissors kick
but Kane kicks out of the cover. Kane nails a choke slam but some how
Booker kicks out. RVD runs in and Van-Daminates Kane while he's holding
a chair. With Kane on the mat, Book does the spinneroonie and nails a
scissors kick for the win. After the Match Kane grabs a microphone and
tells the crowd to stop laughing at him. Then he grabs a chair and
smacks it on the stairs right next to us and bends it up bad.

End of show.

Pretty poor show...average attendance...Vets was 3/4 full

Coach was the host drawing
good heat...what an ass but he does his job well!

Mark Henry over Chris
Jericho.....Henry wins after interference by Long, Trish does run in but doesnt
help.Jericho and Trish hug and shake hands afterwards.

Maven over Matt
Hardy...terrible match...no crowd reaction at all...who really cares

Cade/Jindrak
over Val/Storm....they cheat to win...Cade/jindrak open match with some homo-erotic
comments toward each other

Batista over Hurricane...total squash...Hurricane gets
two powerbombs for his trouble and was real loose on the 2nd and may have been
knocked out by it...walked out after medical assistance

Spike interview...he shoots
on Coach to his face..pretty lame with a Christian run-in which led to a 3 on 2
table match...

Dudleys over Christian/Test/Steiner.....decent match with Dudley's 3D
on Christian for the win...usual Dudley post match celebration with kids..etc.

Molly
over Jazz/Lita/Trish...4 way elimination match...Lita drops to Jazz....Jazz to
Trish and Trish to Molly...ahhhh...its a women's match

Orton with Batista over
RVD.....RVD puts up a good fight with his overly predictable and reptitive move
set....gets RKO after Batista interference...

Kane comes out...Booker T over Kane in
a no DQ match....RVD comes back out for a Van-daminator...Booker gets pin...Kane
shoots on Rumble to end it.Not as good as the past show in Des Moines a few months
ago when Book lost his belt.
