- Because "The Rundown" did not fare as well at the box office as many industry analysts had expected, people in Hollywood have jumped off the Rock bandwagon and are now questioning whether he has the stuff to be a potential draw in the future. There is also a train of thought in Hollywood that Rock should once again try to associate with wrestling as they need the fanbase for his movies to do well.
- WWE is trying to make a conscious effort of cutting down on outside interference in matches as well as ref bumps. The feeling they are after is to make the ref seem like "real refs" instead of just comedic sidekicks. Jim Ross has long been a supporter of having only one ref bump per show unless absolutely necessary to have more.
- More details on the RAW and Smackdown! meetings held earlier in the month. Vince McMahon and Jim Ross basically tried to tell the talent about protecting kayfabe and about how in the old days, two wrestlers were forbidden to hang out together if they were involved in an angle. Ross also talked about potential fines if talent showed up late to events and he also revealed that management would begin critiquing television matches. Reportedly, the meetings did not go over that well with the wrestlers.
