During the 30-Man Royal Rumble main event, it appeared as though John Cena may have blown out his knee or ankle when he landed badly during his elimination from the match. Fortunately, it has been confirmed that Cena was not injured and is fine after the match.

After Chris Benoit's big win at the Royal Rumble, Steve Austin came out to celebrate with Benoit and said, "Some people call you the Wolverine, some people call you the Crippler, I call you one tough son of a bitch." The common beer celebration then followed, then Austin left with Benoit still in the ring.

Benoit treated the fans in Philadelphia by giving a victory speech after his Royal Rumble win. Benoit tried to restrain any emotion but seemed a bit choked up while saying that tonight he took a major step in his career just as he did by leaving WCW for the WWE.
