After making his return to NWA-TNA last week after an extended absence, it has now been announced that Jerry Lynn has inked a long term contract with the company today. This follows the approach made by NWA-TNA about making a return on the January 7 event, however Lynn had a scheduling conflict and was unable to appear.Michael, the webmaster of Maven's official website (www.MavenHuffman.com) issued the following announcement today regarding his post-Royal Rumble status:Just spoke with Maven and I just wanted to update everyone on his condition.
Maven is going to be having his knee and his elbow scoped Tuesday in D.C. at the same time to pretty much kill two birds with one stone so to speak. While his elbow was the original reason he was pulled from in-ring duty and the reason he is currently out, his right knee also had some bone chips and he wants to go ahead and get that cleaned up at the same time as his elbow. Dr. Schaefer will be performing the elbow and knee scope on Maven Tuesday and we will let you know about his progress and the turn out as soon as possible. Maven stated the return date is now around 4-6 weeks instead of the 6-8 weeks previously stated. Maven said he feels as if he can definitely come back to the ring in the shorter of that estimate (4 weeks).
When asked if Maven still planned to be back in-ring by Wrestlemania, he said "Definitely, I want to be back by Wrestlemania. I really hope so."
To update everyone on John Cena's status after last night, he did appear to twist his knee but was able to go to the gym today and isn't expected to miss any time as the injury is not serious.Backstage Reaction to Benoit's Win & the Ending to the HBK/HHH Match + Over 200 Images from the PPV!
