rajah.com Mailbag, Edition #10
-By Grandpa, Kayfabe and Rajah

Alright, I have re-opened the Mailbag section with the help of two individuals, Kayfabe and Grandpa. Hopefully, it will work out better this time, as the above individuals will handle the great BULK of the emails.

Here are the steps to take if you like your question answered in the Mailbag section:

1. Please check to see that your question(s) have not been answered on any other sections of the page. Take great note of the FAQ Part I and FAQ Part II.
2. Send a legibly written question or comment to mailbag@rajah.com. Please try to keep it short, since if it is too long, it will be prone to editting.
3. ALL email sent there may potentially be included in the Mailbag. If you do not want your response posted, do NOT send it there!
4. If a name is included, I will post it along with the email. If you do not want your name published, do NOT write it!
5. Remember, it is impossible that every email I receive get posted on this page. Only the best and most popular questions/comments will likely make it on.
6. Also remember, that questions will be answered by either Kayfabe or Grandpa, so any personal remarks should be addressed accordingly. The following color scheme will be used:

Rajah - GREEN
Grandpa - RED
Kayfabe - YELLOW

IMPORTANT!!!
If you have anything to add to any of these questions/comments or even my remarks, please email me. I'm not claiming that all my info is correct, as I'm sure that some of it is inaccurate as well. PLEASE READ THE DIRECTIONS ABOVE AND NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE EMAIL ADDRESS!!!

Hi. I was wandering why the WWF got rid of Mene Gene Okerlund. I think he's a is the best announcer in the wrestling business even if he is getting old, he could do a better job than Micheal Cole anyday. Also it would have been real cool to see Austin give Mene Gene a few stunners.

I don't know the actual answer to this question. However, Mean Gene has always been Hulk / Hollywood Hogan's personal announcer since the "old" AWA days. This may factor into Mean Gene stint with WCW. Then again, I'm sure WCW offered him more money.

From:Michael
hey, couple of questions for you:-
1)I reckon Kane is possibly the best wrestler in the WWF.Why does he job to less talented people like Big Show and Undertaker? He deserves a title shot.
2)What are your views on:
Rey Mysterio jr
- Sting
- Buff Bagwell?
3)Do you think Kane and SCSA could team up against Paul Wight/'Taker?
4)I've heard that at SS or the next PPV, Kane and Undertaker will have a inferno match or better. What ever happens it'll be spectacular and at the end Undertakers dad comes down and batters 'Taker, giving Mark Calloway time to have operations on his legs.Is this true?Do you think it could happen?
Thanks

1)Probably cause his character has virtually no personality and/or mic skills (not saying HE doesn't). And usually any WWF champ is able to work the mic relatively well.
2a- Mysterio: Enormous talent, would be a great fit in the WWF.
2b- Sting: In my opinion, the best non-WWF wrestler there ever was.
2c- Bagwell: Have barely watched him before.
3)It could happen, but I wouldn't count on it.
4)Anything can happen in the WWF, but this one sounds like one that logically won't. Isn't Undertaker's father supposed to be dead?

From:Mike
Dear Raj,
I've heard that since his recent debut on Pacific Blue WWf is planning a big push for Shawn Michaels. Do you Have any info about that.

As a wrestler or as an official? Either way, Shawn remains a critical part of the WWF roster in whatever capacity and he will always be granted an important role in the weekly programs, depending on which ones he actually is on.

From:RossPac
Rajah,
I have questions I would like your opinion on. Dx seems to still be around but, they wont be anything with just two people. So Dx if it is going to stay around will need more members.
1)Who do you think would be the most likely to join Dx? My opinion is Val Venis Test Hardy Boys and Kane. However they would need a leader.
2)Do you think X-Pac has the qualtites to be the leader of Dx?
3)Also if he were to put on sat 15-20 lbs do u think he could be world champ?
4)And last question i know it seems far fetched but is there any chance The Rock could become the leader of Dx? He has helped them out on occasion.
Thank you for your help with these questions.

1)The best chance to join D-X? I would have to also say Val Venis.
2)No, the D-X leader role seems to be made for someone who is a main-eventer. X-Pac is not, no matter how popular he is.
3)That's tough to say, but I still don't think they'd give him the title.
4)Again, highly unlikely. They took the Rock out of the Nation because it was holding him back. It would seem hypocritical to stick him with D-X.

From:SexyBig316
great site.
I have 2 questions:
1.Now that kane is in dx,do u think anybody else will join?
2.Where did Koko B. Ware go?

1)I doubt it.
2)After appearing in the WWF for one occasion earlier this year (or maybe late last year--can't remember), Koko now wrestles in one of the independent promotion in the country.

From:Ashley
Are Triple H and Chyna married, dating, or engaged?

As far as I know, they are dating, but probably will end up getting engaged and consequently married.

From:Great One
hey raj!!!
your site rules!!!!!!!! Just a few quezzies...........
1) when the wrestlers fall of the ropes and land on their jewels do they have any protection cos that has to hurt especially in the corners of the ring by the posts?
2)i live in the uk, so is the wwf coming to the uk for a ppv?? such as summerslam at wembly stadium in 1992 i think?? cos it would be really cool to see The Rock, austin, kane, taker, big show cos they sometimes dont always turn up to the tours?
3)do u think debra will join up with austin??
4)i heard that there is a stipulation at ss for the rock vs mr ass match up is that true???
5)when mankind used to get out the taks and put them all on the ring, did he wear any protection when he landed on them??
6)was that the rocks car when austin ran over it with a monster truck???
cheers raj u r a star!!!

1)I guess some of them might, but I haven't checked so I can't say for sure! They are wrestlers and they know how the techniques on how to take the fall. I suppose you can play extra close attention when it happens again, because you will see them do subtle things that help cushion the fall.
2)Other than the custom UK PPVs, there are no plans to come to the UK again for one of the "big" events. I'll keep you posted though of any possible talks, etc.
3)No. Austin's gimmick isn't really one that is tailor made for a manager. Remember, he "doesn't trust anyone". That's why the rumors last year of a Sable-Austin alliance fell through. Plus, it would also be somewhat of a waste. Debra and Austin are both way over. Why would they need to be together?
4)I believe it is a "Kiss My Ass" match. The loser has to kiss the winner's ass.
5)Yes, he did. He had padding on his ass. Same with Kane.
6)No, it wasn't really his car.

From:lobsterboy
yo raj best damwwf site on the net. you rock!!!!!!!!!! any my questions are:
1. when does buff bagwells contract with wcw run out and do you think he would sign with wwf? because i think he would be great there
2.who do you think the main eventers will be in wwf and wcw (assumin no jumps) will be in like 2002 will be?
thanx

1. As far as I know, Buff's contract isn't nearing its end. And when it does expire, I'm sure WCW will do everything in their power ($$$) to re-sign him. As a result, I don't forsee Bagwell in the WWF.
2. Oh wow, this is a weird question. Okay, WWF first: The Rock, Chris Jericho, Edge, The Big Show, Triple H and Steve Austin (yes, still). WCW: Nash, Buff Bagwell, Chris Benoit, Scott Hall. And Flair and Hogan too!

From:Donkey84
1)What ever happened to Tiger Ali Singh?
Wheres my good friend the Brooklyn Brawler been?

1)Tiger Ali Singh is still with the WWF and is undergoing a creative evaluation.
2)Brawler is also still with the WWF and has a number of assorted duties, including wrestling at specific house shows.

Hey Raj,
great site, love it, Balh blah blah, kiss butt, yadda yadda,(hope this helps in getting this posted).
I was wondering what ever happened to jaqualine? she was by far my favorite femme fatale of the wwf she was a great wrestler and a pleasure to watch in and out of the ring. Also is Luna gonna come back another great Female wrestler not as great to look at as Jacky but still great to watch in action.
Thanks for keeping up a great site .

Jacqueline is also still with the WWF but again, lack of angles and storylines have prevented her from appearing on TV. Jacky's forte is wrestling and with the relative downward spiral of the women's division, her role has suffered. However, I do expect her to gain a more prominent part in angles after Summerslam, when hopefully the division heats up. Luna is supposedly still "indefinitely suspended". However, as the days go by without any mention of her, the chances of ever seeing her back on WWF TV diminishes.

From:Zack
I was just wondering on the chances of Chris Beniot, Raven, Wraith, and Scott Hall coming to the WWF? I sure hope they can because they are the only reason to watch WCW now that Jerico left. Oh I forgot about Chis Kanyon how adout him?
I love you site

Right now, none of them can because they are all under contract to WCW. However, when their contracts do run out, here are some random percentages:
Benoit-60% (depending on how WCW pushes him from now until next year).
Raven-65% (appears to be a bit angry at WCW management and if WWF offers him enough, probably would jump).
Wrath-40% (just recently re-signed with WCW for 3 years I believe).
Hall-50% (once his contracts runs out, both WWF and WCW will be falling over themselves to sign him).
Kanyon-N/A (I don't even know who the hell he is).

From:IluvDX
Great site, keep up the good work.
How did Owen Hart get the name nugget?

I think I've explained this one before. Please consult an earlier edition of the Mailbag, perhaps #1, #2 or #3.

Hey guys I got a couple of questions for you.
1. Is Chainz still with the WWF?
2. Do you see HHH ever being a face again?

1)Nope. He was officially released several months ago.
2)Yes, definitely.

From: Jason Wright
hi there kick ass site I have two questions if you could please answer them? First is the wolfpac going to reunite soon after hogan leaves? Next when will Dx come back to reunite? thanks

Well, I'm guessing the entire Wolfpac will never re-unite again, but I'm sure in a couple weeks or maybe in a month, the founding fathers of the Wolfpac, Hall and Nash, will re-unite. As for D-X, I'm assuming they will also reunite, but I'm guessing it is still quite a long ways away. Maybe not until next year.

From: CoolRyanR@aol.com
Hey Raj, Great site,
I was wondering why kane has only had the title once, he's a great talent and he's really entertaining, do you think kane will ever regain the gold? And what ever happened to the "Gates of Hell" kinda match you talked about a few months back? Please Post this in the Mailbag.

My best guess is that Kane is not really a marketable champ, owing to his lack of personality as I briefly mentioned above somewhere. The Gates of Hell match has been discussed many times before, but the WWF always seems to back down from it. It will happen sooner or later.

From: Matt
i have a couple question that just popped into my mind, first: i read somewhere that before wrestling, buff bagwell was doing soft porn, i that true? and secondly, i hate wcw and rarly watch it, anyways, why is it refered to as NWA(nWo)/WCW, i have always wondered that? thanx, put this in the mailbag

I'm no WCW expert myself, so I can't confirm or refute Buff Bagwell's career before wrestling. I'll try to find out more I guess. As for the nWo/WCW thing, a few years ago, the nWo, a faction of heels, attempted to take over WCW and the promotion was split into two groups...the bad guys and the good guys. Later on the nWo subdivided amongst itself. The NWA was the National Wrestling Alliance, which was the name of the organization before Ted Turner bought it and took over. WCW didn't really replace the NWA (they are still around), just sorta branched off from it.

From: Shiznit230@aol.com
hey i was wondering if the sting in wcw we see today is the same guy that was sting back when he had short blonde hair and wore neon wrestling pants. if you could post the answer it would be greatly appreciated

Yes, he is the same guy. Just looks a lot different.

From: TWILIGHT_2000
I think your site rocks well most of my questions are about my favorite wrestler KANE!
1:Is Kane ever going to get another WWF title reign?
2:I know Glen and Mark are not brothers but come on look at a old Undertaker pic and then at a Issac Yankem they look like they are related.
3:How come it seems like when WWF brings a big wrestler in they make them like super men.For example Kane took 3 tombstones and ripped off the door to the hell in the cell. And Big Show he lifted up the ring and the titan tron thing.
(sorry so sloppy)

1)Yes, but again after others "ahead" of him get their gold. I don't forsee him holding onto the belt for an extended period of time though, if and when he does get it.
2)Coincidence, I guess. I don't think they look alike, they just both have red hair.
3)They do that to make an impression on the fans. How effective would it have been to bring in Kane/Big Show/etc. and make him get his butt kicked by someone else. First impressions are everything...in real life and in the wrestling world.

From: Corey
To whoever answers this,
Whats up guys. I was looking at the ST. velentines day massacre the other day and i was wondering how did The Big Show get under the ring with out everybody seeing him. It was just on my mind , Plaese put this in the mailbag. THanks

He got under the ring before the match started, and was wheeled in on a big black box or so I hear. Several readers who attended the event emailed me to say so.

From: WMK2251
Hey Raj, you site rocks the web! I have just a couple of questions...
(1) Why would the WWF introduce Jericho as a heel? I was at the august ninth Raw and he received pops as large as Austin and even, dare i say HBK. I think he would make a great face, especially with a good lookin valet, like maybe Sunny.
(2) I read somewhere that the WWF was dropping the title Titan Sports and replacing it with WWF Entertainment, why would they do something like this? DOes it have something to do with them going public.
(3) What ever happened to Scorpio? I was watchin a tape of the Rock Bottom PPV from last year and the J.O.B. squad faced someone else. The JOB squad consisted of Al Snow, Scorpio, and Bob Holly. I'm wondering because he seemed to have some pretty sweet high flying moves.
Thank for reading and please post. Oh yeah Kayfabe and Grampa, you guys rock!!

1)The WWF is short on heels. You got Mankind, Rock, and Steve Austin as the big faces. And only Undertaker and Triple H (and now more recently The Big Show) as the heels. As well, speaking of the midcarders, there are way more faces (Test, Edge, X-Pac, Venis, Godfather, Shamrock, etc.) than there are heels (Jarrett, Blackman, Mr. Ass, etc.). In a logical sense, Jericho had to be a heel, but as you said the pops he receives may signal a quick face turn after someone from the other group turns heel...
2)Yes, aftey they announced going public and plans to come out with a new record label, it was better suited that they be known as an "entertainment" group, rather than a "sports" company.
3)Scorpio was released on what was rumored to be drug problems. He has since joined ECW again, a promotion where he enjoyed his greatest success.

From: MHSenior69@aol.com
Hey, 1) I know HBK is retired but if he feels like it will he be physically able to wrestle or is he permanently injured? 2) Also, what is his role right now with the WWF if Sgt. Slaughter is the real commishiner? 3) Is Scott Hall really a drunk? 4) In your opinion who would you name as the five greatest WWF champs of all time?

1)If he feels like it, he will wrestle again. But I've heard that he is saying that he has nothing left to prove in the wrestling world. On that token, he won't wrestle again unless he gets re-motivated.
2)He is not an official or a wrestler, just an highly regarded "extra", who in a techincal sense, is still on the WWF roster.
3)He has had a lot of drinking problems in the past if that is what you're asking.
4) I know this isn't my question, but I just had to chime in with my opinions on this one as well. As far as I'm concerned the five greatest are 5- Savage, 4- Undertaker, 3- Michaels, 2- Hogan, 1- Bret Hart.

And mine: 1- Bret Hart 2- Hulk Hogan 3- Shawn Michaels 4- Bob Backlund 5- Bruno Sammartino

1. Brian Christopher
2. The Qbeckers
3. Dr. Death

5. Al Snow's Head
6. Jim Cornet
7. NWA Title
8. Rock'n'roll Express

did jerry lawler ever win a title?
At wrestlemania, Did SCSA really get busted open?
When jerry lawler made his entrance and insulted peolpe were they in on the act/angle?

1)Injured.
2)Jacques: retired; Pierre: still with the WWF and wrestling in MPW
3)Released.
4)Still with the WWF. Refer to a previous question for more info.
5)Dead. Got a nail driven through it.
6)Still with WWF. Works with the WWF training camp.
7)This angle bombed miserably and NWA has their own title back.
8)Who knows? Probably wrestling in the indys somewhere.
9)In WCW, goes by his regular name.
10)Split after Savio Vega's injury. Some are still with the WWF as wrestlers, a couple have been released as wrestlers.
11)Hawk has a back injury, Animal is under a creative evaluation. Both want to go back to WCW.
Not in the WWF, but many in the USWA and Memphis area promotions.

Yes, but it was on purpose.

I don't recall this, but a lot of the "fans" that are picked on, are indeed "in on it".

Hello. My friend and I are argueing over the death of Rick Rude. He claims that Rude died over a drug overdose, but I totally disagree. Could you clear this up for us? Thanks

Rick Rude died as a result of a heart problem, which may have been caused due to an overdose to painkillers. The official cause still has not been determined yet.

Hey I sent this once before but I probably sent it I don't know somewhere else. Anyways I love the sight, but I have a question about Waylon Mercy. Where is he? He was with the WWF for a short while and then he just dissapeared. any ideas? Thanks

All I know is that Waylon Mercy was Dan Spivey, of former NWA/WCW fame. His whereabouts are unknown to me at the moment.

A few questions for your mailbag
(1) If Dustin Runnels appears in WCW can he use his Goldust gimmick or will he unite with his father Dusty Rhodes???
(2)The elusive question Sunny or Sable??????

1)No, he cannot. The name is copyrighted and trademarked by the WWF and the former Titan Sports Inc.
2)Without a doubt, Sunny.

Quite serious. They have known each other for several years and the relationship looks headed for a marriage. But what do I know. This is more non-wrestling related, so I can't for sure.

1- lately i have found out about a lot of wrestlers that are canadian like test to name one. i know the obvious ones like edge, val venis, the harts, chris benoit and kurrgan. what other superstars are canadian.
2- i heard that the rock play for the calgary stampeders before switching over the wrestling, is this true?

2)Yes, it's true.

what do you think jericho's role in the wwf will be. (minor spoiler) i mean he wasn't or won't be on raw on aug 16 and there was nothing mentioned of him. i think he will have som, ething to do with babg. whadya u think.

It looks like he'll be feuding with Road Dogg for the first little bit, then gradually move up the ladder by starting a program with X-Pac and others before headlining PPVs against the main eventers.

From: hale mac
Phat page man, i have a couple of questions. How come wcw gives older wrestlers pushes? And why did it take so long for HHH to win the title?

Basically, because they are the WWF product from the 80s. All their recognizable faces (aside from Sting and Goldberg) are former WWF stars, many of whom are past their prime. And as for HHH, he has had to climb up the ladder in the "time honored tradition" and the little MSG incident from 1996 also put him back a little.

I live in Knoxville TN, and for the past several months I have been watching ECW on America One Television.
However, for the last couple of weeks I have tried to tune in(at 1am), there was no wrestling.
My question is, with ECW going to TNN, has ECW stopped all other TV tapings? If not where, and when can I see them.
Thanks, you have a great page.

I have absolutely no idea at all. I've never even watched an ECW match in my entire life so I don't think I'm the best person to ask. Anyone else that has additional info is encouraged to pass it along.

In a recent edition of the mailbag, someone asked the status of the fake diesel and the fake razor ramon. Kane is the fake diesel of course and you weren't sure of the fake razor ramon. I heard that the fake ramon is Tiger Ali Singh but I'm not sure. They do have a slight resemblance. Can you clear that up for me?

No, it's not Tiger Ali Singh.

I'm not sure...that is a question for your local cable company I guess. As for the ratings, only the big markets are counted in the overnight numbers, but your area will be factored into the weekly ratings, which are released a couple weeks later.

Hi Rajah. Great site!
I have a question about the Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Runnels relationship. I heard the reason their relationship was so bad is because of Terri. Is this true, and if so what did she do?
Thanks

That is one of the reasons. I'm not sure what Terri did, if she even did anything, but I've heard that Dusty just didn't "approve" of the marriage and practically disowned Dustin after the wedding. Not sure though.

From: Ed
Great site Raj, but please can you clear up the 97 Survivor Series incident. Why would the WWF want to humilate and get rid of their best main-eventer? Did Bret, Shawn or even WCW know about it?

Bret did not know he was about to get screwed, and later Shawn told him that he was not in on it. Before the screwjob, Bret had already signed a deal with WCW. We get questions about the screwjob incident quite frequently, but it really is hard to explain. To get a good feel for yourself about what actually happened, you really should watch the Bret Hart documentry "Wrestling With Shadows".

Do you think that it would be possible for Road Dogg to ever getthe word title? I know that his ring skills aren't that great, but niether are Austins, and the D-O-G-G has better mike skills than Austin. Thanks, your site kicks.

Not any time soon. Granted, the Road Dogg is over, and he's good on the mic. Those are two main elements to acheiving high levels of success in the WWF. But, right now he's a solid-mid carder. You never quite can predict the future, though. We'll just have to wait and see.

Hi Guys,
Great site. I visit everyday to check the latest news. The mailbag is my favourite feature, so I'd thought I'd contribute. First, a couple of points
1) In one edition of the mailbag, someone asked if Justin Credible used to be Aldo Montoya and you said that Peter Polaco did it. Well, Peter Polaco is Justin Credible, to clear up any confusion
2) Someone also said that Max Moon was played by Thomas Boric (Kato, Paul Diamond). They're right. The part was originally designed for Konnan, but he never took up the offer so Boric was given the gimmick instead.
3) The fake Razor Ramon was played by Rick Bogner, who now wrestles in Japan.
And now, some questions
1) Do you remember a character called Phantasio? Do you know who portrayed him (he was a magician whose main gimmick appeared to be pulling out the ref's boxer shorts at the end of matches)
2) Was Waylon Mercy played by Dan Spivey?
3) Did Gangrel win the WWF Title from Steve Austin at a house show, only to lose it the next night and never be credited for it?
Thanks

Woo-hoo! None of those comments/corrections pertain to questions I answered. Thanks for the info. Onto your questions...
1) I do remember him! Wow, I haven't thought about that guy in years. He wrestled a few times on Superstars and pulled out the ref's underwear. Ah, memories. Unfortuneatly I don't know who played him. Perhaps Rajah or Gramps will have more information. Guys, this is your cue to change the font color and type your response...
2)Yes, Waylon Mercy = Dan Spivey
3) No, but that's a hell of a rumor. Completely false. I doubt Gangrel has even faced Austin at a house show. Gangrel NEVER won the WWF Title.

From: Nick
I heard a rumor that Justin Credible is part of the Kliq with Nash, Hall, HBK, HHH and X-Pac...is that true? Thanks

Nope. The Clique is just the other five guys you mentioned. Credible is not included.

Hello Raj - Raj, Kayfabe, and Grandpa, I have just a few questions that have made curiousity run through my veins. 1.) What is the name of Chyna's finisher, is there one? Or is it just called the lowblow. Cuz I mean you know how Meat calls his reverse ddt the Meat Grinder? Well does Chyna call her lowblow something? 2.) I got in an arguement/bet type thing with a friend about weither Chyna's finisher is the lowblow or the pedigree. Well which one is Chyna's finisher? the low-blow or the pedigree? I say its the lowblow hes says the pedigree, whos right? 3.) What does Triple H's music say at the beginning? 4.) Will Jeff Jarrett win at SummerSlam, Lord I hope not! Im sick of Jeff Jarrett saying, Im the Greatest IC Champ of All Time Blah.....Blah......Blah..... and Im tired of him blasting out Debra for his damn mistakes! 5.) When will Debra leave Jeff Jarrett's sorry ass? And what route will she go once she leaves him? I say she finnally gets in Val Venis' pants! :) 6.) Will the PMS angle last or is it just about done with? I think it died once Ryan left personnally! 7.) Last but not least is Nicole Bass (a.k.a Chyna wannabe) back in ECW or is she going back to ECW or WCW or where is the damn ape going? OH BY THE WAY YOU KNOW HOWARD STERN IS OBBSESSED WITH HER, CUZ THAT LOSER ALWAYS HAS HER ON HIS LOSER SHOW!

1) I always assumed it was the Low Blow. When you wrestle as sparingly as she does, I don't know that you need to have an official finisher.
2) You are.
3) From what I can tell, it's something like, "One, two. Is this on?"
4) Oh yeah, well I'm sick of you! Jeff Jarrett is the best damn... *sigh, must remain subjective* OK, I don't know who will win at the PPV. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I know I'll be pulling for good ol' Double J.
5) Very shortly. This has been building up for sometime now. Perhaps at Summerslam or the night after.
6) Maybe so, but Terri Runnels now appears to be behind G-TV. That should develop into a solid angle.

Hey i got a couple questions for you first of all Where does the godfather get his hoes from? And second will thw WWF ever turn Raw into a three hour show? A little while back i heard rumors about it then never heard anything more. thanks.

The WWF usually recruits them from local strip clubs. RAW will remain two hours as there's no reason to have a third hour. They're winning the ratings quite handily with two. Besides, a three hour weekly show is beyond me. Friggin PPV's are shorter than that! Plus, they aren't about to make the same mistake WCW did.

From: Yankee0885@aol.com
Hey, great site, I have a couple questions:
1.) When I went to the May 2nd taping of Heat (live) and Raw (delayed), JR and the King didn't come out to do commentary for Raw. Do they always do this or was this something that just happened once?
2.) Back when Austin drove the beer truck into the arena and sprayed Vince, Shane, and the Rock, how'd they get it back out?
3.) When wrestlers come out with valets, how often is it that they have a relationship outside the ring? Examples are Macho Man with George and Elizabeth or JJ and Debra.

1) That may have been the one time that they did commentary live from a studio in Connecticut for a taped RAW. I forget the exact circumstances, but either JR or the King couldn't make the tapings.
2) Um, I'd assume they backed it out the same way they drove it in.
3) JJ and Debra don't have a relationship out of the ring. Other examples of ones that do, though, are Sable and Marc Mero, and Sunny and Chris Candido.

rajah great site. I have a question about last weeks mailbag. On the pic you had of Kane without his mask on. Was he the guy that fought Bret Hart in 95s Summerslam?

Yes.

From: ACPheonix@aol.com
hey rajah whats up. I wanted to know if it is the wrestlers themselves that pick the teams for the survior series eight man tag matches or is it the bookers that pick the teams? thanks a lot.

No, it's the bookers.

1. Remember those sketches that WWF used to make that would poke at WCW when Raw was losing in the ratings? (This was around the time when Nitro first debut) Well, I was wondering if the last sketch was ever shown on Raw or any other WWF T.V.. The last skit I saw was WWF making fun of a "fake" Ted Turner by asking him if he was trying to ruin the WWF, with Ted sweating the skit ended with a "to be continued".I could of sworn the conclusion of the skit was not shown in the following Raw or any WWF show.
2. Who do you think is the best commentator? In my opinion, Vince McMahon should stick to commentating because he is bar-none the best.
3. What ever happened to Ron and Jimmy Garvin?

1) There were a bunch of those skits. The ending culminated during the Wrestlemania XII free for all when the Nacho Man wrestled the Huckster.
2) Vince is good, but after two hours of that psyched up voice, he wears me out a little. I think Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Heenan were the best duo ever. Jesse Ventura was also wonderful (It was great to here him call that match on RAW last week), and The King is excellent as well.
3)Not sure. Apart from wrestling occasionally in an independent promotion in the mid south west, they have not been heard from much. Anyone with info, please send it in.

1. in the wwf while i was watching the wwf i saw tak wrestle a no name guy and won do you ever think that the wwf will ever make him big as he was before
2.once on raw i saw bossman in a parking lot of a police parking thing were they check all the cars for tickets and stuff well he was talking about going aginst stone cold for his belt nd tat match never happend i know you may not rember but he really did have to do alot and they never had a match after he did that
3.in wwf attitude how o you thorw a guy out of the ring in the rpoyal rumb;le
5.will val venis ever go aginst the godfather not for a belt like in a feud or sumtthing
6. will the rock ever go after any other title besides the world like the i.c r anything else
7. and will they bring back the lightweight belt
thanks for your time and keep up this great site

1) I doubt it. Taka isn't a very big factor in the WWF. And without a serious lightweight division, they don't even really need him.
2)Is this a question or a comment?
3)I'm not sure, haven't played the game yet.
4) You forgot number 4, dude.
5) That's a possible angle in the future, but right now they'll stay together to help the struggling tag division.
6) Unlikely. Only one man has ever won the IC Belt after winning the World Title. And that was Pedro Morales who did it many many years ago.
7) Not anytime soon, if ever.

hey raj. love your site. i have a couple of questions for you?.
1) whatever happened to ahmed johnson and where is he?
2) where is the patriot and who was he?
3) whatever happened to the warlord?
i hope you can answer these for me i would really like to know. thanks

1) He was fired due to his poor work habits and the fact that he was injuring other wrestlers in the ring.
2) The Patriot, Dan Wilkes, was injured and then released by the WWF. He is now working with some of the independents.
3)The Warlord's whereabouts are a mystery to me.

From: The Doctor Of Style
From: the doctor of style Hey Rajah, kayfabe, grandpa, or whoever answers this. First of all, rajah, great site, but im sure you;ve heard that enough. The only complaint is that the forum can be pretty mark-ish at times, but you dont really have any control over that. Anyways, in the last mailbag, Kayfabe answered a question about the infamous "MSG incident" with HHH, HBK, Nash and Hall, and said that it was never on television. Well, this isn't exactly true. On an edition of Raw is War in October of 1997, the day after the IYH: Hell in the Cell PPV, Shawn Michaels and HHH were doing a very "shootish" interview in the ring, when they sent Rick Rude to the back. Michaels motioned to the Titan Tron, and on the screen came footage of the MSG incident. HBK mocked Vince, saying it was his big day, and Vince looked very embarressed. Just thought I'd pass that along and see if anybody remembered it. Also, just a quick question about that incident, it seemed very shootish and it's hard to believe the WWF would let them show this footage. Now, I know it would be something they would definitely get in trouble for and wouldn't be allowed to occur if it wasn't planned, but nonetheless, do you think that there''s any chance that this could have been a shoot. I know, i highly doubt it, but i thought I'd ask anyway. Thanks, and hope you include this in the next mailbag. Thanks!

My mistake. I was implying that it wasn't originally aired as part of a television event. It was indeed a shoot. The WWF just used it to their advantage in an angle months later.

1) All my friends say that Kane is Issacc Yankem. I still don't believe it. Is Kane really Issacc Yankem?
2) Did the WWF ever find what was the problem with the cord when Owen Hart died?
3) Is Stone Cold and Debra really going out?
4) Is Gangrel and Luna really married?

1) Yes, Glen Jacobs, who plays Kane, also played the part of Isaac Yankem, D.D.S.
2) The problem was not with the cord itself. Owen simply hit the release too early.
3) Yes.
4) Yes.

Rajah, great site, I have 4 questions
1) Why isn't Shamrock the federation champion, he would be a great champion.
2) Did he ever feud with Steve Austin
3) After he returns from UFC in 2000, do you think if he recaptures the UFC title, we could see Shamrock-Austin at a a pay per view
4) Will Ken Shamrock return with his brother Frank Shamrock in some sort of angle?
Thanks, from a big Shamrock fan!

1) I think he has the potential to be champion, but right now there are others ahead of him. Plus, he is leaving to go to the UFC shortly, so they aren't about to make him champion now.
2) They've wrestled, but they never had a major fued with each other, no.
3) Whether he wins the UFC Title or not, I'm sure Shammy will be a big part of the WWF upon his return. Somewhere down the line, it is possible that he will get a main event push, and consequently face other main eventers, such as Austin, at a PPV.
4) I haven't heard anything about his brother wanting to come to the WWF.
I can tell!

From: TyPHeOuS
Hey Raj, Kay, and Gramps whats up? Here are some questions for ya:
1.What will Chris Jericho's finishing manuver be? In WcW he did the Lion Tamer will he stick with it?
2.Do you see anyone from the WcW joining WWF in the next year?
3.Will Nitro ever turn into a 2 hour show and not a 3?
4.When Stone Cold did the "Beer Bath" was that real beer?
5.What was Steve Austin's first finisher? I think it might of been the sleeper
6.How bad did Stone Cold beat Jake The Snake?

1) It'll probably still be the Lion Tamer. Most times just because wrestlers change companies doesn't mean they change finishers.
2) No one significant. WCW has most of their talent locked up for at least another year. Besides, this was already agret year for the WWF in terms of signing talent away from WCW. They got what look to be two future main eventers in The Big Show and Chris Jericho within six months of each other.
3) Good question. That's a tough situation for WCW to deal with. WCW has way too much talent on their roster, but they also have way too much air time each week. Many feel that expanding the show to three hours was their big mistake, as it diluded the excitment of the show. Now they're forced to fill some time each week with jobbers wrestling fifteen minute matches. However, if WCW were to go back to two hours, that wouldn't exactly be a good marketing strategy. After your fans have gotten three hours of wrestling each Monday night, why would you advertise that you're now only gonna give them two? Also, WCW wouldn't have the viewers already there from the 8:00 hour that actually stay with WCW and don't switch over to RAW at 9:00. This could hurt their ratings. It's quite a problem for WCW.
4) It was VERY diluded real beer.
5) His first WWF finisher was the Million Dollar Dream. It was only fitting since he was managed by The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase.
6) Pretty bad.
Well, Thanks for the time and keep up the good work!

1.DO U THINK THAT DX WILL EVER BE REUNITED.
2.I HAVE HEARD RUMORS THAT DEBORAH IS GOING TO BE IN PLAYBOY. IS THIS TRUE.
3. WHEN AND ON WHAT CHANNEL IS SMACKDOWN GOING TO BE ON.

1) I've been asked this so many times... so here's what I think would be cool. I want to see HBK screw Austin out of the title, and have HHH, Chyna, and HBK form the original heel DX. Don't say they wouldn't be heels either. If Shawn Michaels were to cost Austin the title, he'd instantly get a ton of heat.
2) There have been talks, but Debra won't do it unless she is offered more money. So, at the present time, she has NOT agreed to a deal with Playboy.
3) It will be on UPN at 8:00 PM on Thursday nights. Check your local listings.

Hey Raj. I visit this great site once a day at work. After winning King of the Ring '99 and pushed forward a little, is Billy Gunn expected to move up in status. Will he have any fueds with the major superstars any time soon? He has a lot of power and great ability. I think he is under-rated and deserves more recognition. A title shot, perhaps. Where is Bad Ass headed in terms of his WWF future? Thanks dude.

He already is in an angle with a major superstar- The Rock. They don't get much bigger than that. Billy is a good, underrated wrestler, and this feud with the Rock is the start of his post-King Of The Ring push. I think Gunn would make an excellent Intercontinental Champion.

From: Josh
is it true that vince owns the ecw too, thats what a friend told me

No, that is not true. Paul Heyman owns ECW.

From:James
Just a few quieries:
1. Around 96-97 when Vince,JR and the King were the commentating team why did JR and the King keep ribbing McMahon about a hair-piece he supposedly had?
2. Why did Paul Wight come out on his first RAW wearing a no-gimmicks needed t-shirt but now he has a gimmick?
3. Do you know the longest winning streak in WWF history, is that record held by Tatanka?

1)Probably cause it was true. McMahon has been rumored to be wearing a toupee.
2)In my opinion, it was just a little inside joke to the internet fans who for months before Wight's entrance had predicted that he would be known as "Titan" and also in retaliation to Eric Bischoff's comments of Nash being WCW's Corporate Giant. McMahon just wanted to show that Wight didn't even need a gimmick.
3)Yeah, I believe it is still held by Tatanka and is around the vicinity of 30-50 or so.

From:Simon
Hey there Rajah,
first of all great site etc. I have not so much a specific question, rather would like to know your viewpoint. How far do you think wrestling can go? I've been watching wrestling since late 1990, and in the last few years the violence has really been stepped up. When I first starting watching, a chair was only used in the main event at a PPV, now it's the norm. Don't get me wrong, I think wrestling is better than ever, but now to beat someone there has to be all kinds of weapons and outside interference. I personally think this will annoy the fans a bit too much in a few years, and they'll demand something in between what there is now and was 10 years back. Clean pins, more technical wrestling.
Another kind of related point. Do you think that there will be a death or near fatal injury that may bring about this change? Some of the bumps now truly are amazing, especially falling from heights. If someone gets hurt badly soon, the uproar and bad press might force wrestling to relax a bit.
Your view??
Simon Manoukian London, UK

1)Yeah, you bring up a great point, but the thing with the WWF is that they are ever so in touch with the fans' reactions and opinions of their product. When the fans want more violence, they step it up and when they want less, I'm sure Vince and the bookers will sense it. That's why the promotion is so successful...they know how to listen to ideas and exploit them to the fullest using the talent they have. WCW's biggest downfall is that they don't have an ear for the very fans that make or break them.

From:Rob
Rajah It's me Rob!!
Hope you are well and you get in touch sometime. I wanna ask a question thats been bugging me for a while now....
Do you remember at In Your House DX when Shamrock fought Michaels? Okay after the match when Owen attacked Shawn those punches looked seriously vicious. How much of an "Angle" was this. because my opinion is that it was supposed to happen but regarding the circumstances, Owen was hitting Michaels very viciously. Michales looked bloddied and shocked afterwards, I would just like to hear another opinion on this incident.
Thats it!! Cheers!
God Bless you Owen....

From what I heard, Owen was punching so viciously because he was unsuccessful on first try at bursting a blood capsule on his nose. When it didn't work, he had to resort to more vigorous tactics. There was no legit heat between the two if that's your question, Rob. Good to hear from you in any case.

From:Titan Recluse
This is an awesome webpage and you two seem to know your stuff on the wwf so I figured I would try and stump you two with these questions cause I sure don't know the answers.
Remember a while back, when the nation of domination was just getting started, there was two rappers that would rap the song when they would first come out.
A. What was there names?
B. Were they real wrestlers?
c. Where are they now?
Thanks

Umm... how did this one end up in my folder, guys? Must have been a copying error. Well, Titan Recluse, I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that I do indeed remember the guys you're talking about. The bad news is that out of the three questions you asked, I know the answer to exactly... zero of them. Congratulations, you stumped me. Ouch, tough way to start out. Thanks a lot, Gramps. Stick the impossible ones in my folder. Good call. Well, you guys know the drill. If you have any info on these guys send it in. Humble me some more.

I look forward to every new installment of this mailbag. Keep up the goodwork! Anyway, I have a 5 questions and an observation that I'd like you to answer for me.
#1 Who has the longest winning streak in WWF history? (Bob Backlund?)
#2 Which WWF wrestler has had the most managers/bodyguards ever? (HBK?)
#3 D-Lo Brown recently won both the Euro and I-C belts, which would make him a double champ. Who else, besides HBK and the Warrior, have been double champs? (SCSA, British Bulldog, Owen Hart?)
#4 Who made DX's entrance music?
#5 Did the Rock ever beat SCSA before? (I think I remember on one edition of Raw that SCSA forfeited his I-C belt to the Rock so that he could go after the World title.)
Observation: Jeff Jarrett has been saying for about a month now that he is the greatest I-C champion of all time. Well, I just wanted to point out to all that Jeff Jarrett has held the I-C belt the more times (5 times!) than any other WWF wrestler. I guess his claims aren't that false after all.
PS Wouldn't it be funny if the WWF brought back the Huckster and the Nacho Man to team with Gillberg? I think it would be hilarious!
Thanks!

1) While Backlund did hold the World Title for several consecutive years, Andre the Giant was said to have been undefeated for over a decade.
2) Let's see... HBK. Sherri, Luna, Diesel, Sid, Jose Lethario, Chyna. Yep, I'd say it's him if you're talking purely with the WWF.
3) Austin, Bulldog, and Owen have been, yes. So have Diesel (IC and Tag), Ken Shamrock (IC, Tag), and the Bossman (Tag, Hardcore).
4) Thememaster tells me that it is by the "Chris Warren" band.
5) I don't ever remember the Rock pinning Austin.
Observation: Rack this guy. You know what you're talking about Bob Dawg. Double J has had the IC Title more times than anybody else. Basically his entire WWF carreer has revolved around that belt. He's had classic fues over it (Ramon), classic matches over it (Michaels), and has won the belt multiple times during two different stints in the WWF. Oh, and you can never go wrong with The Nacho Man, The Huckster, and Gillberg. I personally miss the Billionare Ted/"Scheme" Gene skits.

From:iblatnik
Grandpa, Kayfabe, Rajah you guys are going a great job with the mailbag. I got a couple quesions for you guys-
1. Has the GTV angle been dropped? Because we haven't seen any GTV for two weeks now.
2. I have heard that WrestleMania 13's main event was not suppose to be Undertaker vs. Sid for the title. I heard it suppose to be Shawn Michaels vs. Austin. Is this true? If so why?
3. Why dose everyone and thier mamma say that the main event for WrestleMania 16 will be Austin vs. Big Show? How do they know? I personally think It wouldn't be that great.
4. I heard a rumor that Shawn Michaels is suppose to come back at Royal Rumble 2000. Have you heard this? Do you think it's true?
5. Last- Think thier's any chance of the WWF signing Macho Man When his contract is up?
thanx

1) Nope, now it appears that Terri Runnells is behind the whole thing.
2) No. Austin wasn't ready to headline a Wrestlemania at that point in his carreer. A year later the two were in the main event at Wrestlemania XIV.
3) You're right. Nothing is written in stone, but that is a logical possibility. We know Austin will be in the Main event, and I would think the Big Show would be a tough guy to elimanate from the Royal Rumble. Still, we all need to relax and stop looking so far ahead. I mean, didn't we just finish with Wrestlemania XV not all that long ago?
4) The answer to all HBK questions- only he knows if he will ever come back. It's a mystery to anyone else, and until announced otherwise, he is retired.
5) Not a chance. The WWF is beyond that, and Savage will always get a good chunk of the spotlight in WCW. The WWF is building up young, new talent.

From:Ryan
First of all I'd like to thank you for answering my questions from the last time.
1) At Wrestlemania 7, when the Macho Man lost the career ending match to the Ultimate Warrior, why was the Maco Man back in wrestling later that year ?
2) After Summer Slam do you think that Triple H will bring back DX with him being the champion ? ( I sure hope he does. )
3) Do you think that people like the Undertaker and Steve Austin needs to step down from being in every main event match and let more of the newer and younger people have a chance at being at the top ?
4) If the Macho Man did sign with the WWF, how do you think he would be involved with the story lines ?

1) Later that year, Savage was involved in an ongoing feud with Jake "The Snake" Roberts. In one of the greatest feuds in WWF history, it finally got to the point where Jake took it upon himself to tie up Savage in the ropes, and proceeded to let his snake bite away at Randy's arm. Savage wanted revenge on Jake, and President Jack Tunney reinstated him. He fought Jake at Tuesday in Texas and was always allowed to compete from then on. If you want to really witness this feud, I highly suggest renting Survivor Series '91 and especially This Tuesday in Texas (which I believe can be found as part of Supertape '92).
2) Could happen, but I doubt it. That whole DX thing is up in the air. The WWF has done a great job of intertwining all their angles. I can't recall ever seeing this many different angles all rolled into one that involves so many people.
3) The Undertaker is taking a breather from the Title picture right now, but remember, Austin is the WWF's # 1 guy. He has the drawing power, and he's the most popular guy they've got. As long as that's still true, he'll never stray to far from the title picture.
4) He won't sign. He wouldn't exactly fit in with the current happenings of the WWF, and he seems to be content in WCW, so, as stated earlier, it is doubtful he'd ever sign with the WWF.

From:Drummer569
Hey Rajah, Kayfabe, or Grandpa,
I have a couple of questions.
1. What the hell happened to the greater/higher power gimic? Why would Undertaker threaten a "power even greater that himself"?
2. Who was that psycho dude who helped Hardcore Holly defeat Bart Gunn a couple of months ago when Holly made that open challenge?
3. What ever happened to the Shamrock/Jeff Jarrett Feud? I know Shamrocks going back to the UFC and all, but they have to finish up the feud, right?
4. When is Kane going back to world title status? I think he's got the best skills of all big guys in wrestling. Thanks for answering!
--Mº$$¥ßº¥

1) That thing is over and done with. Like it for not, it was Vince, though a lot of things don't add up.
2) Dr. Death Steve Williams. A short lived gimmick in a short lived WWF carreer.
3) Apparently not. That feud died when Steve Blackman entered the picture. There never really was any closure to that angle. I'd have liked to see a PPV IC Title Match between the two though.
4) I think he deserves a shot, too, but there are many guys in front of him, right now. HHH is getting a push, Austin will always be there, and guys like The Rock, Mankind, The Undertaker, and The Big Show are all right there as well.

From:Quigon316
hello rajah, grandpa, kayfabe or whoever reads these,
I was recently watching some old tapes of raw (like 5 years ago) and was wondering what arena they held raw in? It looks alot like the one ecw uses now. I could be wrong but I thought Raw used to be in the same place. One other question for you. In the battle of champions you had "all" 16 wwf champs of the 90's. I could have sworn there were more but couldn't think of any. are there more?

Those arenas were usually in the Northeastern region of the US, most notably upstate New York. Places like Poughkipsee and Binghamton. It's not the ECW arena, though I, too, notice the similarities.

Champions... OK, I can do this off the top of my head- Please excuse the lack of puncuation and extensive run on sentence(s)... Hogan was the champ starting in 1990, he lost it to the Ultimate Warrior in '90 @ WM VI, Warrior lost it to Sgt. Slaughter @ 1991 Rumble, Hogan took it from him @ WM VII, Undertaker beat Hulk @ 1991 Survivor Series, and Hulk took it back six days later in Texas, it was vacated and Ric Flair won it in the 1992 Rumble, Flair lost it to Savage @ WM VIII, Savage dropped it back to Slick Ric @ a house show, Flair dropped it to Bret Hart in October 1992 @ a house show, Bret lost it to Yokozuna @ WM IX, who immediatly might as well have given it to Hogan, who, surprise, lost it back to Yoko @ KOTR '93, who lost it back to Bret @ WM X. *breath* Bret then lost it to Bob Backlund @ Survivor Series '94, who did the job to Diesel three days later at the Garden, Diesel then held it for a year before losing it to Bret @ Survivor Series '95, Bret lost the WM XII iron man match to Shawn Michaels, who lost it to Sid @ Survivor Series '95, before gaining it back @ the 1996 Rumble, the belt was vacated, and Bret won a four corners IYH match to become new champ, but lost it to Sid the next night on RAW, Sid lost it to the Undertaker @ WM XIII, who lost it to Bret @ Summerslam '97, who was absolutely screwed out of it @ Survivor Series '97, and Shawn Michaels was awarded the belt. *breath* *deep breath* Michaels lost the belt to Steve Austin @ WM XIV, who lost it to Kane @ KOTR '98 only to get it back the next night on RAW, after Austin was pinned by two men, and the title was vacated, The Rock won a tournament @ Survivor Series '98 to become the new champ, he lost it to Mankind on RAW, who gave it back to The Rock at the 1999 Rumble, The Rock then lost it back to the Mankind on Halftime Heat, but got it back on RAW before losing it to Austin @ WM XV. Austin lost it to the Undertaker @ Over the Edge, and the UT jobbed it back to Austin on RAW. *sigh* Hope that was somewhat understandable. You count the underlines. It's 16. Now watch HHH go and screw this all up...

Oh, and one last thing, as long as we're still on this Fantasy Tournament subject. I just want to know how exactly The Rock beat out Bret Hart as a better overall WWF Champion of the 90's. That made me sick. It's like a slap in the face to the Hit Man. I thought you voters had more sense than this, I really did. I have nothing against the Rock, but you cannot even compare him to Bret when it comes to greatest overall champion in the 90's. This is asking for trouble, but what the hell... I want anyone who voted for The Rock to e-mail me and justify your vote. And I'm talking intelligent arguments here, people, not the typical "da roc iss tha man he's the maost electifing man if u smel wut the rock is cookin jabroni he rulz".

From:Gr8 1
What's up Raj, Kayfabe, and Gramps!
This sight kicks major ass. just wonderin'....
1.) What ever happened to making Owen Hart an honorary champion?
2.) What is the history behind the heat between Goldust and The American Dream Dusty Rhodes?
3.) I heard that Goldust did a spoof ( A "dedication" if you will) to his father Dusty, what was all that about?
Sincerely,
The Gr8 1

1) Nothing ever became of the rumor, which is what it was. I think the WWF paid their respects and wanted to move on.
2) They had a falling out a number of years ago. Dustin wasn't accepted by his father, and it didn't make sense when he went to the rival WWF to portray an extremely edgy, controversial, and incidentally years ahead of its time, character.
3)Yes, during a telecast of RAW, Goldust came out in the black and yellow polka-dotted Dusty Rhodes outfit from his WWF days. It was just a one-time incident, which the WWF referred to as Dusty-dust. According to who you talk to, Dusty was either highly pissed or highly amused by the actions.

From:Maximum Charge
Dear Rajah, first of all id like to say great site and second of all i have a few questions for the mail bag:
1. What does DDT stand for and where did it get that name?
2. Why was Ted DiBiase stripped of his title?
3. The Undertaker used to be scared of a wrestler who wore a big native mask and left black wreaths in front of the ring during Undertakers matches who was that?

1)I'm getting sort of sick of this question. It has been widely discussed in previous mailbags. Please consult them.
2) Because he never won it. Andre the Giant beat Hulk Hogan for the Title and simply handed DiBiase the WWF Title. DiBiase had bought the WWF Championship! But to no avail. Jack Tunney ruled that since he had never won the belt in the ring he must forefit it immediately. And that's how the Wrestlemania IV tournament came about.
3) You've got this one a little bit backwards. In mid 1993, the Undertaker (UT) was involved in a feud with Harvey Wippleman's guys- Giant Gonzalez (the man in the costume I think you were talking about), and Mr. Hughes. It was during Gonzalez and Hughes' matches that a mysterious man would leave a reef at ringside. At Summerslam 93, we found out the man behind the reefs had been the UT's long time manager, Paul Bearer, who had been missing.

HI great site I was just wondering if HBK and Bret Hart had any legit heat and what happened to the angle the wwf was doing with Ahmed and the Undertaker in the fall of 97.
Thanx

Apparently, HBK and Bret do still share at least some legit heat. There has been some bad and unfortunate jokes exchanged between the two (I heard Bret blames/blamed Shawn for his marriage problems after Shawn implied Sunny and Bret and a thing going) but they have never really showed their feelings on air.

It all started when Amhed and Faarooq had their original angle going. Faarooq then dumped the entire Nation (except for D'Lo) and said he would get a new Nation in a tag team match against Amhed and Taker. (There was a slight angle between Faarooq and Undertaker before this). During the match, Faarooq brought in Kama and Amhed turned on Undertaker and joined the Nation. Subsequently, the WWF dropped the Amhed/Taker angle so that they could instead focus on the faction crap we had to bear through (Los Boriquos, DOA, Nation).

I was watching the rock know your role and at one part he was yelling at sarginate slater to go get him and owens tag team belts when was the rock ever the tag team champ???

The Rock was never Tag Team Champion. Perhaps The Rock was trying to convey something else, and it came across that he and Owen were Tag Champs, but they never were.

I got 5 questions for you, Grandpa, and Kayfabe:
1)I heard that a long time ago when Isaac Yankam DDS can't make it to portray Kane sometimes Kevin Nash has to be Kane because he was still under WWF contract. Is this true?
2)Do you know any website that has the pictures of the fake Razor Ramon and Chainz?
3)Is Chainz Crush?
4)About how many times has the WWF changed their world heavyweight title? How did it look?
5)I heard that when a wrestler gets the world hevyweight title he gets two. One that we always see on t.v. and one he gets to keep at home.
P.S. please put this in the mailbag

1) No, no, no. And I'm not even sure that would make sense. Nash signed with WCW before Kane was around.
2)No, I don't.
3)Chainz is not Crush. Chainz is Brian Lee, Crush is Brian Adams. They were just involved in the same stable--the DOA, with Crush being the leader until he left for WCW.
4) It used to be an old looking thing. Then, in 1987 or '88 (I believe it was in '88 before Wrestlemania IV) they got a new one that was around until about a year ago. That's my personal fav, and the one you'll see with guys like Hogan, The Warrior, Savage, Bret, Diesel, Michaels, etc. The current one was introduced in 1998.
5) Yes, he does get one to frame at home.

Awesome Site.
Being from Memphis,I have a few Power Pro Wrestling & WWF questions.
(1)Do you think Jerry Lawler will ever wrestle on any WWF televisedevents?
(2)Would you agree that Jeff Jarrett's gimmick was better when he hadlong hair and was more flamboyant? There are just too many stupid flattopped, pissed off gimmicks that have failed or will fail like Steve Blackman and Big BossMan.
(3)Where is the WWF going with the Too Cool gimmick when Brian Christopher gets back?I think the WWF should make a lightweight division again and have them wrestle mainly on Sunday Night Heat so that when Smackdown airs the main wrestlers can wrestle on that and Raw.There are a bunch of good lightweights in Power Pro.Thanks.

1) No, he's much better suited on being a commentator for now. Besides, he's gonna have an election to concentrate on!
2) Definatly. His greatest singer, wrestler, entertainer gimmick was much better, and more successful. And you've gotta love the lights.
3) But, that would just hurt the Tag Division. I think Too Cool is in line for a push upon Christopher's return. A well deserved one, I might add.

Great site!!! Did Mabel(Viscera) ever wrestle Yokozuna? Who won the match? Will Yokozuna return to WWF or end up in wcw.

The two fought to a double count out at an In Your House in 1995. Yoko isn't close to signing with either of the big two right now.

1. What happenend to Jason Sensation. Will he come back
2. R nash + hall coming to WWF after Road Wild

1)He has enrolled in wrestling school.
2) No, they are still under WCW contract for a couple more years.

Cool site please answer my question. What is this Fake Diesel thing about. I keep hearing about it but I don't know what it is. Is it like the fake Undertaker thing?

After Hall and Nash left for WCW, the WWF announced that Razor Ramon and Diesel would be on RAW next week. So, at the end of the show, Jim Ross, introduced them, but it was really two fake guys made to resemble the ex-WWF stars. The part of the Fake Diesel was played by Glenn Jacobs, who is better known now as Kane.

I LOVE YOU SITE! KICKS CANDY @$$!
I wonder, who has been a main eventer more at ppvs? Hulk Hogan during his time with wwf or scsa? does hulk hold the recod still or has stony surpassed it?
Thanks, and keep up the excellent site!

Austin's been in just about as many and will surpass him, but you can't really compare the two. In Hulk's day there were only a few PPV's a year, now there is one every month for Austin to headline. But remember, Hulk was the WWF's main attraction from 85-92. Austin first won the title only a year and a half ago.

Hey Rajah just a couple questons for you to put in your mailbag
1. I remember seeing The Wrestlemania 2 battle royal, and of course, Andre "The Giant" won, but I think the last person he through out was Bret Hart? Is this true? I think it is
2. I remember when Doink was in the WWF, he had a little partner, Dink, and he looks exactly the size of Max Mini, is Dink, Max Mini?
3. Why do the fans like Lawler so much if he sticks up for the heels, I mean Lawler is Funny! But everyone knows he likes the Undertaker and Triple H and Shane Mcmahon?
4. Was The 'Fake' Desial played by Kane?

1) It was either Bret or Niedhart. The Hart Foundation and Andre were the last three guys left in the ring.
2) Yes, the same guy plays Dink and Max Mini.
3) Because this is the new WWF. Many fans like heels now. I, for one, have always enjoyed the King. He's great at what he does and makes the show that much more entertaining to watch.
4) Yes.

OH first off great site (not like you dont get that all the time)...
1. I am the biggest UNDERTAKER Fan ever and I have heard that his career is over soon is that true?
2. will the undertaker ever become the best wrestler in WWF again?
3. Will the undertaker go back to his old act with the gloves the tie and the hat and dont forget the URN(SP?)???
Thanks

1) Over years of battle, The Undertaker's knee has been banged up pretty good. He also has some hip problems. But the Undertaker will still be around for at least a couple more years, if not longer. He may have to take some time off, though, at some point, to treat his injuries.
2) Depends on what you mean by best. If you mean the champion, then I would not all surprised if he were to win the title again. It may be awhile, but I bet the Undertaker will have another title reign before it's all said and done.
3) I'd love to see it, and to tell you the truth, I wouldn't rule that out. The long coat he had months ago, was the last thing of the old Undertaker's that he still wore, but he had to lose that after the tragic Columbine incident.

1. Rajah - What do you think of Triple H? I think he is a great wrestler, 1 of the top 5 technical wrestlers ever, and has great mic skills (although his mic skills were better when he was in DX w/HBK and he made fun of everyone)
2. Any word on the following people? Thrasher, last checked he was recovering from an injury and ditched an evil clown gimmick; Mark Cantebury of the Godwinns, last checked he was recovering from a neck injury; Kurrgan, last checked he was wrestling in Mexico, and Luna, last checked she was suspended???
3. Why is it that Road Dogg and X-Pac are called "the true" DX, while all they do is whatever the fans want, and Bad Ass/HHH/Chyna are not DX while they really do act like Degenerates by cheating, attacking people from behind, not caring about the fans, ect.
4. Rajah - What do you think of Test? I think he is terrible on the mic, a boring wrestler and has no personality. the only reason people cheer him is because he is feuding w/Shane McMahon, who is a mega-heel. Personally, I think Shane has 10 times as much talent as Test.
Thanks for your time, I appreciate it

1)Triple H has earned his dues, but I wouldn't put him as the top 5 technical wrestlers of all time. I think it's his combination of talents that makes him so appealable to the fans.
2)Thrasher=Training in the WWF for an eventual return. Has gained a lot of weight and needs to get back into game shape.
Canterbury=Was released along with Savio Vega in a wrestler capacity.
Kurrgan=In Mexicon still.
Luna=Was always with the WWF and is now back in an active role.
3)I have no idea. It's more a reference to their status to the fans. The audience wouldn't react well if the WWF referred to the heels as the true DX, since so many fans love the group.
4)I like Test. I think his mic skills are slightly above average, he's better than guys like Shamrock and Blackman with the stick. It's just that he's been put behind so many guys in the past...with the Corporate Ministry most notably. It is only now that he's being given his shot.

Great site.Anyway, back in 1990 to 1991:When did Sgt.Slaughter start his pro-Iraq gimmick?I thought it was at the 1990 SummerSlam. And why did they let him win the title? Was it to really build up the Savage/Warrior feud or was it to just have Slaughter as the champion and have the U.S. hero Hogan win it at Wrestlemania 7?I know that Hogan did win.

Yes. Slaughter began his pro-Iraq gimmick in the summer of '90, and when he won the Title at the '91 Rumble from the Warrior with a big time assist from Savage, it helped set up the two main attractions for that spring's Wrestlemania VII.

Hey guys, Great Site. I was just wondering if Kane(Glen Jacobs) really has to use on e of those voice decoders. If so how did this happen and is his face really messed up?? That namor guy sucks, I can't believe that he would post something like that about Kane. Anyways keep up the great work!!!

No, all that is just part of Kane's gimmick.

It's true that what happened concerning Rajah's newsboard was reprehensible, but don't be so quick to judge Namor (aka The Predator). He's one of the classiest guys at this site, and I personally believe his story. He's one of the nicest guys you'll find on here, not to mention one of the smartest. He'd have nothing to gain by doing this, and once again, I believe his side of the story.

Hey Raj, great site!! I have 2 questions:
1) Will Chris Jericho join with anyone in the near future to fued with The Rock or anyone else?
2) Will the WWF be coming to Indianapolis, IN anytime soon to do a Raw or PPV?
Thanks;

1) Right now, it looks as if CJ is set for a fued with the Rock. As a result, we may see him briefly side with Billy Gunn. Jericho could play a huge part in their match at Summerslam.
2) As far as I know, they won't, however you can check out Rajah's WWF Schedule to see if there will be any future house shows nearby.
