RAW Opening: LIVE, on the final day of July, the WWF presents RAW is WAR!
Before the opening, JR remembers Gordon Solie, the late, great announcer.
The opening montage is of Triple H and Stephanie's marital woes last
Thursday. The show begins with a limo pulling up, containing Triple H,
without Steph. The pyros flare and JR welcomes us to the Georgia Dome in
Atlanta. DX's music hits, and Road Dogg and X-Pac enter. JR announces that
this will be a Hardcore Tag Team match between the two members of DX and
Steve Blackman and Al Snow. Earlier, someone asked Blackman about teaming
with Al Snow, and Blackman talks about how this is Foley's fault, that he
doesn't need a partner, let alone Al Snow. Al Snow's music hits, but no one
enters. Snow and Blackman enter the ring from behind and hit the DXers with
chairs 1-2-shoulder up. Snow and Blackman beat the DXers for a long time
with various weapons, until X-Pac throws powder in their eyes. Focusing on
Snow, Road Dogg throws him into a chain held by X-Pac. Blackman enters with
a trashcan lid, which he hits Road Dogg and X-Pac multiple times with. Al
Snow beats Road Dogg on the outside, while X-Pac beautifully reverses a
Blackman move into a dropkick. X-Pac climbs the turnbuckle and dives onto an
unsuspecting Al Snow below. Blackman comes down and evens the score, taking
X-Pac back into the ring. Road Dogg enters with nunchuks, but Blackman takes
him down and steals the 'chucks. X-Pac hits him with a spinning heel kick,
making Blackman drop the weapon. Road Dogg comes in with a trashcan lid and
beats on Blackman, until he low blows Dogg. Blackman gets the trash can and
takes out X-Pac, and then hits Road Dogg into the corner. Al Snow enters
with a bowling ball, which he rolls into Dogg's groin. Al goes to jump a
chair into X-Pac, but Pac grabs the trashcan and takes out Snow. X-Pac grabs
a kendo stick, while Blackman takes his two sticks. X-Pac whirls his stick
around, until it flies out of his hands. Blackman allows X-Pac to get the
stick again, and then takes out X-Pac 1-2-broken by Road Dogg, who gets
nailed by Al Snow. Snow takes the trashcan lid, and swings at Dogg, but hits
Al Snow, right into a X-Factor on a chair 1-2-3! Road Dogg and X-Pac leave,
with Road Dogg not knowing what happened. In the back, another limo pulls
up, and Mrs. McMahon-Helmsley enters. Commercial.Triple H and Steph Segment: Triple H's music hits, and the lone silhouette
of The Game can be seen. As he enters, we see he has a bouquet of roses. He
says we all know he is a man that makes few mistakes, and when he does make
them, he has never been able to accept his mistakes. He says he is here, in
front of the world, to admit he made a big mistake. He says last week looked
bad, but it was innocent. Never, he says, has there been anything with he
and Trish. He says Steph is his true love, and last week, he didn't take her
feelings into consideration. He says she never gave him a chance to explain,
and then he got mad, and said some things he didn't mean. He says these have
been the hardest days of his life, and wants to apologize, something that is
hard for him to do. He asks if Steph will come out and accept his apology.
Triple H's music hits again, and Steph enters, with the Women's Title belt.
She walks down the ramp, and into the ring. Triple H holds the ropes for
her, but she hardly notices him. He holds out the roses, but she stares
right into his eyes. She says Hunter doesn't know how much she hurt him.
Imagine how hurt he'd feel if she were bent over in front of someone, like
Kurt Angle. She can't get the image out of her mind, and it makes her sick.
She says that for the past few weeks, she has been ignored, while Triple H
goes after Jericho. She says he paid a lot of attention to Trish. Triple H
says there was nothing to this, and that if there is one thing in there
relationship, it's trust. He says there is nothing between he and Trish, nor
will there ever be. He admits he was obsessed about Jericho, but it was in
defense of her. He says he loves her, that she is the most important thing
in his life, and that this week was worse than matches in which he has been
beaten within an inch of his life. He says someone might as well tear his
heart out and stomp on it. He said things he shouldn't have, did things he
shouldn't have, but he wants to move on and says "I'm sorry, I love you, and
if you forgive me, I'll be the happiest man in the world." They embrace in
the middle of the ring, until the cars crash and Commissioner Foley enters,
with water on his face in place of tears. He stays on the stage and
sobbingly says he can't stop crying because what just took place is the
biggest load of horse crap he's ever seen. Foley starts laughing and says
there is a place for everything, everything except that hideousness. He says
he doesn't want to sound cold-hearted, but he brought a tape of what Steph
walked in on, and he plays it. Foley says personal lives are personal
business, but business is his business. He says when the marital woes got in
the way of business, it's Foley's business. He says Triple H walked out on
his match, depriving the world of seeing Y2J kick Triple H's ass. In return,
Foley is fining Triple H $5000, and if it happens again, he'll be fired. On
the upside, he has a chance to redeem himself in the first ever Husband-Wife
Tag Team match, tonight, against Lita and The Rock. Triple H erupts as Foley
wishes the couple a nice day. Footage is shown from earlier of the hos
picketing outside, and getting a "Save the Hos" chant going. Commercial.Edge & Christian vs. The Hardys (Tag Title): The champs enter first, and
Christian greets all the fans in HotLanta. He says they could make tasteless
jokes about John Rocker, but they won't because this is the home of the
Atlanta Braves, winners of countless pennants and possibly the team of the
decade. Edge takes off his coat to reveal a Yankees jersey, and says Atlanta
is best known for being the Yankees bitches. Christian puts on a Braves
jersey and this weeks pose, called The Bitchlanta Braves, see Christian
groveling at the feet of Edge. The Hardys enter with Lita, and Jeff and
Christian start out. Shoulder block by Christian, followed by a waistlock.
Jeff reverses the lock, but Christian runs him outside. Christian goes for a
baseball slide as Jeff slides in. Jeff slides into Christian, and then dives
onto him. Tag to Matt 1-2-shoulder up. Tag to Edge. Matt climbs the
turnbuckle, followed by Edge. They punch, with Matt pushing Edge off. Matt
hits a leg drop. Edge fights back, throwing Matt outside, where Christian
hits him. Edge and Christian double on Matt, hitting a double back body drop
1-2-kickout. Double team in the corner. Edge misses a suplex, and gets hit
with a Matt shoulder. Matt goes outside, where he and Christian fight,
ending with Matt flipping off the ropes into a DDT on Christian. Back in the
ring, Matt tags Jeff, who flips in and clotheslines Edge, followed by a
dropkick. Christian runs in, but gets tripped, and then leg dropped. The
Boyz double team on Edge, while Lita gets on the apron and hurricanranas
Christian on the outside. During this, Matt hits the Twist of Fate, followed
by a Swanton Bomb 1-2-ref is pulled out by Christian. This allows Edge to
get a chair and takes out Matt. Christian gets a chair and the two smash
Jeff's head between the two chair shots. In the back, Shane is telling his
stable about Edge and Christian's intensity. Foley enters and says they'll
need intensity because Show will take on Kane, and Benoit and Angle will take
on the Dudleys. Commercial.Trish and Steph Segment: More of the picketing hos are shown. In the back,
Triple H tells Steph to relax and says he won't let Lita do anything to her.
A knock on the door, and Triple H opens to see Trish. She enters and says
there was a misunderstanding. Steph agrees and says she and Hunter talked it
over and everything is fine. Trish extends her hand and asks if Steph
accepts the apology. Steph shakes and says she does. As soon as Trish
leaves, Steph asks "Do you believe that plastic bitch?" She says she can
read women and Trish was looking at Triple H funny, and he looked back at her
the same. In the back, the EMTs are working on Jeff's head, while Matt looks
on. The Coach asks Edge and Christian what they were doing, hitting there
former friends the Hardys like that. Edge says it was "chairalicious."
Christian agrees and says Jeff's multicolored head is just a bit flatter now.
Matt Hardy runs in and tries to get in shots, but the two champs overpower
him. Refs enter and break the brawl up. Commercial.Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit vs. The Dudley Boys: Angle and Benoit enter
separately, with Shane accompanying Benoit. Replay of Big Show's heel turn,
and the ensuing beating of the Undertaker. The D-Bombs drop, and the Dudleys
enter. The brawl begins, with BuhBuh on Angle, and D-Von on Benoit. The ref
takes BuhBuh out, allowing the double team on D-Von. Benoit and D-Von start
the real match out, with a back elbow by D-Von. Tag to BuhBuh. Benoit
fights back and tags Angle, who gets powerslammed by BuhBuh 1-2-kickout.
Chops in the corner by BuhBuh. Big powerbomb on Angle. BuhBuh entices
Benoit to distract the ref, while D-Von dives his head into the genitals of
Angle. Shane runs in and hits D-Von in the back, allowing the heels to
double team D-Von. Snap suplex by Angle 1-2-kickout. Tag to Benoit. Scoop
slam by Benoit, followed by an elbow drop. Benoit went to slam D-Von again,
but D-Von reversed and landed on Benoit for a one count. Chops in the corner
by Benoit. Boot by D-Von, who runs into the Crippler Crossface. As the ref
is looking for the tap out, BuhBuh runs in and breaks the hold. Reverse
suplex by D-Von, who tags BuhBuh as Benoit tags Angle. Back body drop by
BuhBuh, followed by a DDT. Benoit runs into a Full Nelson Atomic Drop.
BuhBuh lifts Benoit up for the Dudley Device, in which D-Von clotheslines the
opponent off of BuhBuh's shoulders. As the ref holds D-Von back, Angle hurts
himself trying to slam BuhBuh. As BuhBuh goes for the pin, Shane climbs the
turnbuckle and hits a flying elbow. He rolls Angle on top 1-2-shoulder up.
BuhBuh goes to splash Angle in the corner, but Angle pulls the ref in
between. Benoit runs in, hits two German suplexes, but gets whipped out of
the third, into a 3-D! The Dudleys look and see the ref out, so instead of
pinning, they go for tables. Big Show runs down and takes out D-Von outside.
In the ring, BuhBuh gets a ShowStopper. Shane puts Benoit on top of BuhBuh,
and then wakes the ref 1-2-3! In the back, Steph asks Triple H for help
against Lita. Triple H shows Steph a front chokehold, to counter Lita's
front take down. Steph asks to see the move that she walked in on with
Trish. After deliberation, Triple H shows her the way to get out of a
hammerlock. When Steph bends over, Triple H has to adjust because she is not
as tall as Trish. Steph asks what that is supposed to mean, but they
reconcile. They try the move again, but this time Triple H calls Steph
"Trish." This outrages Steph, who leaves while Triple H says he got nervous.
Commercial.Right To Censor vs. The Acolytes: In the fans, we see the Hos starting a
march. Replay of Triple H's big goof with Trish, I mean, Steph. In the
back, Triple H is telling Steph that if she leaves, he could get fired.
Steph says "Hell with the match, hell with Foley, and hell with you!" With
that, she leaves in the limo. In the arena, Steven Richards, Bull, and the
Goodfather enter. Goodfather says we don't understand what we're trying to
do. He says if we would give Steven a chance, we would see the sense in it
like he did. Steven gets on the mic and says we have the right to bear arms,
the right to free speech, and the right to religious freedom. He says the
Founding Fathers fought for these rights, including the right to censorship.
With this, the Hos begin to enter ringside, but Steven tells the security to
take them away. Steven says if the WWF won't clean up its act, the censors
will. Scantily clad women, gratuitous violence, and crude language will
continue to be censored, because we don't know what's right. He says if anyon
e has a problem with it, they should come now. At this, the Acolytes come
down. Bradshaw says he forgot some rights: the right to drink a lot of beer;
the right to party with scantily clad women; the right to beat asses.
Goodfather and Bradshaw fight outside, as Bull gets the better of Faarooq.
Bradshaw runs in and the Acolytes double powerbomb Bull. Faarooq misses a
spear, and Bull tags Goodfather in what is now a match. By the way, JR calls
this trio the Right To Censor, which would make them the RTC, another
reference to the PTC. Bradshaw tags in and boots Bull. Tag to Faarooq.
Goodfather and Bradshaw fight outside. Inside, Bull flips onto the
turnbuckle and dives at Faarooq, who flips Bull over 1-2-3! After the match,
Steven congratulates his fighters. We go live to the Republican National
Convention, where Michael Cole says Linda McMahon has been showing
politicians that WWF fans will play a big role in electing the next
president. Commercial.Rikishi vs. Tazz: Replays of all that Tazz has cost Rikishi. Rikishi
doesn't wait for Tazz to enter, but rather beats on Tazz outside first.
Rikishi throws Tazz into the steps, and then into the ring. Clothesline in
the corner by Rikishi, and Tazz drops to the bottom. Rikishi goes for a
StinkFace, but Tazz low blows Rikishi. Tazz beats on the fallen Rikishi.
Tazz chokes Rikishi on the ropes, followed by more kicks. Rikishi fights
back. Tazz goes for a Sunset Flip, but Rikishi just sits on the thug.
Belly-belly suplex by Rikishi. Buttslam in the corner by Rikishi, which
drops Tazz into StinkFace position, and Rikishi capitalizes. Tazz gets up
and takes of the turnbuckle pad. Tazz slams Rikishi's head into the exposed
bolt, and then suplexes the big man 1-2-shoulder up. Tazz straps in the
Tazzmission as soon as Rikishi gets up. Rikishi bends his shoulder under
Tazz's chest and he hits a Samoan Drop 1-2-3! Too Cool roll in from nowhere,
and they keep Tazz from getting cheap shots on Rikishi. The shades go on, and
the trio dance. In the back, Triple H goes to Foley. Foley says he didn't
intend for any of this. Triple H says Foley didn't have anything to do with
this, but that in a business sense, he's here, but without Steph, the match
can't go on. Foley says the crowd is too big to postpone the match. Triple
H concedes and says he'll go against Lita and Rock alone. Foley points to
Triple H's elbow and says he can't allow that, so his new partner is Trish
Stratus. Triple H can't believe this, and walks out as Foley laughs.
Commercial.Eddie Guerrero & Chyna vs. Perry Saturn & Val Venis: More Michael Cole at
the Republican Convention. Cole says the WWF is embarking on a nonpartisan
campaign to get its 14 million eligible voters to register to vote. In the
arena, Eddie and Chyna enter. Perry and Terri enter together, while Val
enters alone. Eddie starts against Val. Hurricanrana by Eddie, but Perry
runs in to stop Eddie. Powerbomb by Val, who then whips Eddie corner to
corner, until Eddie elbow out. Tornado DDT by Val. Both men tag, and Chyna
clotheslines Perry twice. Flapjack by Chyna. Powerslam by Chyna, but Val
runs in before the pin. Val takes down Chyna from behind. Perry with a kick
to Chyna's ribs. Backbreaker by Saturn, which he holds until Eddie breaks
it. Double backbreaker by Perry and Val 1-2-kickout. Val grabs Chyna and
holds her for Saturn, but Chyna ducks and Perry hits Val off the apron. Tag
to Eddie, who cleans house, ending with a Northern Light's suplex on Perry
that gets broken by Val. Chyna clotheslines Val over the top. Saturn whips
Eddie into the ropes and tilt-a-whirls him, but Eddie turns it into a
hurricanrana with a pin 1-2-3! Commercial.Linda McMahon at the Republican National Convention: Back at the RNC,
Michael Cole asks Linda about her day. She says she went to an American
Dream luncheon, then met the governors, and is now at the convention itself.
She says fans are passionate about everything, even politics. She says
before you can "smack down your vote," you need to register. Shots of WWF
New York, where Dean Malenko is having drinks with two women. In the back,
Triple H hears a knock on his door. He rushes, thinking it's Steph, but it
turns out to be Trish. She asks to learn moves, but he tells her to get out.
In the back, Shane is talking with Big Show. Commercial.Big Show vs. Kane: The Big Red Machine lights up the Georgia Dome, but as he
enters, Big Show takes him out from behind. Kane whips Show in the stairs,
and Shane gets in some shots before Kane throws him into the ring. Kane has
Shane set for a chokeslam, but Angle and Benoit run down. Benoit gets a
chokeslam. Show goes against Kane again, now with Kurt Angle's help. The
Dudleys run down with chairs, and they clear the ring. Refs run down, as
Kane signals that he wants Shane's throat. In the back, Triple H and Trish
are walking together, but Triple H motions that he wants her to walk
somewhere else. In another hall, Rock and Lita walk together. Commercial.Triple H & Trish Stratus vs. The Rock & Lita: Triple H and Trish enter
together, but Triple H can't stand the situation. Lita enters on her own,
and Triple H opens the ropes for her to come in and get some of Trish, but
Lita won't do it. Rock enters to big pop. As Triple H tells Trish
something, Rock takes advantage to start off quickest. Rock knocks Triple H
outside, and for one reason or another, the ref makes Trish come in. When
Trish comes in, Rock tags Lita, who takes down Trish and beats her. Suplex
by Lita, followed by a clothesline. Lita goes off the ropes, but gets caught
by Triple H. Rock hits Triple H, and Hebner pulls Rock to his corner,
allowing Triple H to hit Lita. Bulldog by Trish, who tags Triple H. Triple
H knocks Rock off the apron, and Triple H sets up the Pedigree on Lita. Rock
runs in and nails Triple H. Lita reaches for a tag, but Triple H pulls her
back. Tag to Trish. Flying forearm by Lita. Both women tag their men.
Rock hits three clotheslines and then a DDT 1-2-shoulder up. Falling
neckbreaker by Triple H. Triple H beats Rock into the corner. Rock fights

black. End Show.
