RAW Opening: LIVE, from Providence, RI, the World Wrestling Federation
presents RAW is WAR! Pyros flare, JR introduces, and tonight's show is under
way. A video is played of the main event of last SmackDown! in which Triple
H sacrifices himself to save his wife, all because of her affection for Kurt
Angle. The first music played is that of the 2000 King of the Ring, Kurt
Angle. Angle makes his way to the ring, in wrestling attire. He says that,
as a representative of the US, he is happy to be in Rhode Island, the
insignificant nothing state. He says what Triple H did was not
insignificant. He says Trips was gutless, cowardly, and plain wrong. It
reminded him of Tonya Harding, the infamous figure skater. He says, like
Tonya, Triple H has no integrity. Just like Nancy Kerrigan, the wronged
skater, Kurt doesn't know why Triple H hates him. He says he sabotaged
Angle's undefeated streak, while never getting a title shot. He believes it
is because of jealousy. In nine months, he says, he has accomplished what too
k Triple H years, like winning titles and tournaments. He says in Triple H's
first nine months, he competed in a hog-pen match. He says it pains him to
see his "friend" Stephanie with a loser like Triple H. This prompts The Game
to enter, and storm to the ring, ready to fight. Just as Triple H gets to
Angle, Shane enters from nowhere to stop the fight. Shane keeps them off
each other. He says they are killing Steph. He says their bickering caused
Steph to take a Rock Bottom, and almost a chokeslam. He says he doubts Steph
will even come tonight. He says Triple H knows he was wrong to leave Angle,
and that Kurt knows he shouldn't have called Triple H a loser. He says Angle
would not try to break Trips' marriage, and knows Steph married a hell of a
guy. He says they need to focus on Rock and the WWF Title at SummerSlam. He
says they need to focus on their one goal. The tires skid, the cars crash,
and Mick Foley enters the arena. Foley comes in and tells Shane he is
touched by trying to help the family. He agrees with Shane, and says Triple
H and Angle should join forces against the Rock, and will therefore grant
their wish. He says Shane's boys, Trips and Angle, will take on the Dudleys
and the Rock. Shane says 3-on-2 isn't fair. Mick says he understands that
this team needs some glue, so Shane will be their partner. Mick then says
that, in order to never hear them whine about leaving, if Angle or Triple H
leave the match, they lose their #1 Contendership. We cut to the back where
Benoit enters the halls, and knocks on the locker room door. Chris Jericho
opens the door, and jumps on Benoit. Jericho continues to beat on Benoit
until refs break it up. Commercial.

Eddie Guerrero & Steve Blackman vs. T&A: Replay of Jericho jumping Benoit.
We see Shane trying to tell Benoit that he fights Undertaker tonight, but
Benoit is pissed at Jericho and knocks everything down. We see Kaientai
enter the aPa's office. Kaientai tries to get on the Acolytes good side,
after bouncing a check on HeAt. They say to make up for it, they will give
the Acolytes money and beer, and take them out on the town, for beers. The
Acolytes, always up for free beer, take Kaientai up on their offer. In the
arena, Eddie and his Mamacita enter. Replay of Blackman's Hardcore match
against Albert. After Blackman enters, T&A come down with Trish. Blackman
and Test start off, with Test the quicker. Thrust kick, followed by a
clothesline by Blackman. Blackman goes outside to get some toys, even though
this is not a Hardcore match. Tag to Eddie, who gets doubled by T&A when
Test tags Albert. Big boot by Test. Two backbreakers by Albert, followed by
the Albert Bomb 1-2-broken by Blackman. Springboard dropkick by Eddie, and a
kick to the knee, before a tag to Blackman, who cleans house. Spinning heel
kick by Blackman, and a missile dropkick by Eddie, which knocks Albert
outside. Blackman pins Test, but the ref is attending to Eddie. Albert
takes Blackman's kendo stick and cracks Blackman on the back. Test rolls him
over for the 1-2-3! On the outside, Angle is waiting with an umbrella. A
limo pulls up and he gives the newly arrived Steph the umbrella. He thanks
her for coming to his aid on SmackDown! and takes her bags for her. To top
it all, he gives her a peck on the cheek. We cut to Triple H's room, where
he has been watching this whole scene. The enraged Game storms out.
Commercial.

The Hardys & Lita vs. Right To Censor: Replay of Angle's hitting on Steph,
and Triple H's reaction. We now see Steph walking through the halls. Triple
H confronts her about what just happened. He brings up what happened on
SmackDown! She sobbingly says, "Maybe I should just leave. Maybe I
shouldn't be here tonight." To which Triple H retorts, "You know what?
Maybe you're right." The RTC come down, and we replay the ho/table incident.
Steven says there are groups just like the RTC who care about our children,
even if we do not. He says that if the WWF doesn't clean up it's act, the
RTC will do it for them. He says laws will be passed to stop the sexuality
and violence of the WWF, but until then, the RTC will do it's part to win the
"good fight." This is why they have challenged The Hardy Boys and Lita. He
says the youth of America may try to emulate Lita's underwear-showing attire.
The Hardys music hits, and the high-flying trio enter. The boys run in and
get beaten down by the RTC. Jeff starts out against Goodfather, but soon drop
kicks Steven, who is not fighting in this 3-on-2 match. Tag to Matt, who
gets clotheslined. Tag to Bull, tag to Jeff. Jeff misses a clothesline and
Bull picks him up and drops him outside. After a beating by Goodfather, Bull
returns to beating on Jeff. Tag to Goodfather, double big boot. Goodfather
uses the ropes while choking Jeff. Belly-back suplex 1-2-kickout by Jeff.
Tag to Bull. Military Press Slam by Bull. Clothesline in the corner by
Bull, but he misses the second. Both men tag, and Matt hits a flying forearm
on Goodfather. Matt calls Jeff in, and Jeff hits the Poetry in Motion corner
splash. Bull goes outside, where Jeff lands on him from the top turnbuckle.
In the ring, Matt hits a double DDT on both RTC members, and Lita tags
herself in. Moonsault to Goodfather. She then gets on the other turnbuckle
and splashes onto Bull outside. She gets up, and Steven Richards StevieKicks
Lita. Goodfather pulls her in, hits a shoulder breaker, and gets the 1-2-3!
As the RTC beat on the Hardys, Edge and Christian run in with chairs. They
get ready to behead Lita, but Matt saves her. Edge and Christian drop the
chairs and work on Matt, ending with Christian hitting an Impaler on the
chair. We see the Acolytes order Kaientai drinks. We see Steph getting into
the limo, with Shane trying to persuade her to stay, to no use. Commercial.

Edge & Christian's Sit-down Strike: Replay of Lita hitting a splash to the
outside, only to get StevieKicked. In the arena, the Tag Champs enter, belts
and chairs in hand. Edge says we just saw the actions, and now we'll hear
the words. He says they are totally here to pull a sit-down strike because
of being screwed by The Hardys, The Dudleys, and Mick Foley. Replay of Edge
and Christian's beating on SmackDown! Edge coins the phrase 'bucket of
heiniosity.' Christian says they are here until they get an answer from
Foley, or else there will be serious 'consecutions.' Foley enters, and says
that they used to be friends. He says after watching what they did to the
Hardys, Dudleys, Kane, Malenko, and almost Lita, they are 'so lacking in
testicular fortitude.' He says they have a point, and while the acts of
'heiniosity' occurred, he decided to keep the Hardys and Dudleys from
interfering with tables and ladders, because in their TLC Match at
SummerSlam, tables, ladders, and chairs will all be legal. In the back,
Shane complains to Triple H about the TLC match, but Triple H says he doesn't
care about Foley, and says he can't keep any control with Angle after what
happened with Steph. Shane calms him down and says they'll get ready, but
now Shane has to deal with Benoit and Undertaker. Commercial.

Chris Benoit vs. The Undertaker: In the back, Shane is trying to calm Edge
and Christian, but they decide to leave. The American Badass enters via
motorcycle. Replay of Big Show chokeslamming Kane through the stage. Benoit
and Shane enter. Taker starts off by pounding Benoit in the corner. Boot by
Benoit, who tries to comeback with his own beating, but can't keep the Taker
down. Clothesline in the corner by Benoit, followed by a tilt-a-whirl slam.
Taker misses an elbow drop, which allows Benoit to come back and dropkick
Taker in the knee. Enziguri by Benoit. Benoit goes up top and hits a Flying
Headbutt 1-2-shoulder up. Taker sets Benoit for a chokeslam, but Benoit
lowblows him. Taker whips Benoit into a big boot, and again into a back body
drop. Clothesline from Taker, who signals the Last Ride. Shane runs in and
nails Taker in the back with a chair. Ref calls for the bell as Shane hits
Taker in the head with the chair. Taker drops and Benoit puts on the
Crippler Crossface. Suddenly the stage fires up, and the Big Red Machine
runs Shane and Benoit off. Kane helps his brother to his feet, but then
chokeslams him! Kane picks him up, and chokeslams his brother through the
mat! Kane gets on Taker's bike and rides it up the stage, leaving his
brother halfway through the ring. Commercial.

DNC Coverage, Shane/Angle, aPa/Kaientai: Michael Cole reports from the
Democratic National Convention, and he reports that Rock and Chyna will make
appearances for the SmackDown the Vote campaign. Cole says Linda will make a
major announcement later. Back in Rhode Island, we see a replay of Kane
chokeslamming Taker through the ring. JR says Kane left the arena. We see
Taker nursing an injury, saying that he will kick Kane's ass. In another
room, Shane congratulates Benoit, but tells Angle that he doesn't like how
Angle has been acting around Stephanie. Angle says he can't believe that
Shane would question his integrity. At a bar, we see Kaientai making drunken
nonsense. Two men come up and say they will beat Kaientai's asses, but the
Acolytes stick up for them. In the arena, we see the ring crew fixing the
stage. JR says Tazz will be out next, but Lawler says he isn't allowed at
ringside, as ordered by Foley. Commercial.

Tazz vs. Crash Holly: During the break, Lawler left ringside. In the
present, Tazz enters. Tazz goes right to JR, screaming about Lawler not
being there, and then makes a comment about JR's Bells Palsy. Crash comes
down while Tazz yells at JR, and takes Crash from behind. Flying forearm by
Crash, who then hits a missile dropkick 1-2-kickout. Reverse catapult by
Tazz. Tazz straps in the Tazzmission after Crash misses a clothesline.
Crash taps out, and Tazz goes straight to JR again. He takes JR's hat, and
then shoves JR down. This provokes the King to run down and make the save.
Lawler beats Tazz, until being restrained by refs. In the back, Kurt Angle
can't believe Shane questions his integrity. Joe comes in and says there is
a rumor that somebody wants to meet him outside in half an hour, and it's not
Triple H or Shane. Commercial.

Road Dogg & X-Pac vs. Rikishi: Lawler says at SummerSlam, Tazz will get his
wish and will be thug-life dead. Road Dogg and X-Pac come down, with Dogg
doing his mic work. Rikishi enters, and is encircled by the DXers. Rikishi
takes both men down, but they retake control. Rikishi pushes both down.
X-Pac goes for a Sunset Flip, but when Rikishi countered, Dogg knocked him
off. Bronco Buster by X-Pac. Shake and Rattle by Road Dogg, but Rikishi
ducks the Roll, which nails X-Pac. The DXers regain control, with a double
choke. Rikishi beats out of the choke, and hits a double clothesline.
Samoan Drop on Dogg. Clothesline to Pac. Rikishi whips both men into the
same corner, and Rikishi buttslams the duo. Pac stumbles into a superkick,
and Road Dogg falls into StinkFace position. As Rikishi hits the StinkFace,
we see X-Pac outside laughing. X-Pac enters and hits a spinning heel kick.
X-Pac pins, and then Road Dogg lays on top of him 1-2-3! They kick Rikishi,
but Too Cool run down for the save. The trio dance for the first time in
what seems like ages. We go to the DNC, and Michael Cole has Linda McMahon
with him. Linda says they have registered over 10,000 new voters since the
campaign began. She thanks everyone, and reminds them about Rock and Chyna
at the DNC on Wednesday. In the locker room, Triple H is lacing up, and Joe
enters. Joe says in about 10 minutes, someone needs to see him in the
parking lot. Triple H first tries to beat Joe to find out who it is, but
then figures it is Stephanie. Joe says he can't say who it is, but Triple H
tells him to tell Steph he'll be there. As Joe turns to leave, Triple H says
that this had better be legit, or he'll have Joe's ass. Commercial.

Val Venis vs. Chris Jericho (IC Title): We see Kurt Angle in the parking
lot, waiting. In the arena, the Y2J Countdown hits 00 and the Ayatollah
enters. Replay of Jericho jumping Benoit earlier. Val enters with Trish, in
his new "I'm-not-a-porn-star-anymore" white trunks. Shoulder block by Venis,
but then one by Jericho. Chops by Jericho. Kicks in the corner. Venis puts

Venis beats him out of it. Benoit drops Jericho on the ropes, and then
stomps on him. Refs come down, but Benoit throws the refs around.
Eventually, Benoit leaves with a smile on his face. When Jericho is
announced the winner, Benoit runs back down and puts Jericho in a leg
grapevine into the Crippler Crossface. Outside, Triple H comes out and
thinks Angle called him out. Angle believes the same about Triple H. They
begin to get into it, but are almost hit by a limo that pulls up.
Commercial. Ah, don't you love the cliffhanger?

Guess Who's In The Limo!!!: Replay of the limo pulling up. JR says Triple H
and Angle went into the limo, and haven't come out yet. At the bar, a
drunken Taka hits the Acolytes, and then Funaki vomits on them. This all
prompts the Acolytes to beat the hell out of Kaientai, with Bradshaw tipping
a pinball machine on Funaki. At WWF New York, Al Snow asks Head who it's
favorite WWF Superstar is, to which we hear Al Snow reply, "No, not Kurt
Angle!" He asks a woman who responds the Rock, but Al says that isn't right.
He asks a man, who screams Al Snow, and then asks for his twenty bucks.
Back at the arena, Triple H and Angle get out of the limo, looking dejected.
Following them, Vince McMahon gets out!!! Vince reminds them that no matter
who wins the WWF Title, neither of them will ever make his daughter cry
again, or else they'll have hell to pay. He wishes them luck in their match,
and tells them to look out for Shane. He gets back in the limo. In the
back, the Dudleys and Rock are ready for the match. Commercial.

off, but Shane leads Rock into Triple H and Angle. Olympic Slam by Angle.
Pedigree by Triple H. Shane lifts both men's hands in victory. The three
stomp Rock as we go off air. End Show.
