- Jim Ross welcomes us live from Grand Rapids, Michigan for RAW! Tonight, Test wrestles Scott Steiner with the winner receiving Stacy Keibler's services and Kevin Nash vs. Chris Jericho in a hair vs. hair match.
Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel
- Jericho is already in the ring talking about how this will be a very big week for him first by beating Kevin Nash and then by winning the World title at Summerslam. He ends up talking about the Elimination Chamber match last year when Shawn Michaels won the title and eventually it brings him to introducing Michaels as his guest this week. He asks Shawn if lightning can strike twice, if he can win the world title a second time? As Shawn begins to answer, Jericho says he has no more time as he needs to prepare for his upcoming hair vs. hair match. However, he will stand by his promise of allowing him on the Highlight Reel and so the interviewers will be his personal close friends, the Evolution. Triple H grabs a mic and talks about how during the last Elimination Chamber he "lost the most" because he had to spend time in the hospital and because he lost the title. Triple H keeps yapping so Michaels attacks each of the Evolution members before they gang up and overpower him. Kevin Nash (with a new bleached blond hairdo) makes the save and assaults Triple H but Ric Flair and Randy Orton subdue him before finally, Goldberg comes running down to make it three-on-three. Goldberg eventually tries to spear Triple H, but he misses and nails Nash instead. Evolution bails.
- Backstage, Test walks in on Stacy doing her makeup. He says that when they get back together this time, things will be different because he will treat her like the little slut that she really is.- Trish Stratus talks about how she expects to leave tonight as the women's champion. She also says she will deal with Gail Kim later.
Trish Stratus vs. Molly Holly (Women's Title Match)
- Molly controls most of the match but gets tripped on the ropes as she goes for the Molly-go-Round, allowing Trish to gain the advantage. As Trish closes i on the win, Gail Kim comes out so Trish attacks her on the outside. Trish misses a high cross body from the top ropes and as Molly goes for the cover, Gail interferes causing the DQ finish. Molly and Gail fight outside the ring as officials struggle to break them up.
- Backstage, Evolution brags about what they just did to Goldberg and Kevin Nash. Stone Cold interrupts and books Randy Orton vs. Goldberg later tonight. After Evolution hints that there will be some outside interference, Austin then appoints himself as the special guest enforcer to ensure a fair match.- Shane McMahon comes out and stands at the top of the ramp. He says that there will be no match between himself and Eric Bischoff at Summerslam because when Bischoff gets here tonight, he will beat him up beyond recognition tonight and thus, he will not make it to Summerslam. He's also out here to address Kane, whom he has a special present for. Shane goes to the back and brings out a gasoline can and says Kane isn't the only one who likes to play with fire.
- Backstage, Lance Storm tells Goldust that he's still boring. Goldust says he needs to be unpredictable so he asks him what the most daring thing he's ever done. Storm responds by saying that once he returned a movie without rewinding the tape. Goldust advises Storm to go into the women's lockerroom, find the first diva, say some nasty things to her and then kiss her.
- Backstage, we see Linda McMahon hanging out at home, but apparently she's examining a poster of Lita.
Test vs. Scott Steiner (Winner gets Stacy)
- The two brawl to start until Test misses his big boot and apparently injures his right knee. As Steiner and Stacy watch on, Test struggles to get up only to continually fall due to the injury. The referee calls for some help and more officials and a trainer come down to assist Test. They help up and start assisting him out of the ring when Test springs up and kicks Steiner in the face with the same leg, leading to a pinfall victory. Test then grabs Stacy by the hand and forcefully takes her to the back.La Resistance vs. Dudley Boyz
- La Resistance brag about beating up the Dudleys last week and then pay tribute to them as we see footage of last week. La Resistance then spot out a fan at ringside in a military uniform and call him GI Joe. They ask him to shake Rene Dupree's hand and when he tries, Dupree pulls away before sucker punching him. This brings out the Dudley Boyz causing La Resistance to scatter. As a USA chant erupts, the Dudleys invite the military service man into the ring. Bubba gets a USA flag and all three salute it. The military guy starts waving the USA flag but as the Dudleys turn around, he clocks them with it. La Resistance come running back down and they triple team the Dudley Boyz before laying the flag across them. The military guy brings out a flag of France and embraces and celebrates with La Resistance.
- Backstage, Chris Jericho gets ready for his match.- We also see more of Linda McMahon at home. This time she's seen surfing the net and she's at rajah.com! Just kidding. But my trusty eye has spotted that her mouse pad features the old WWF scratch logo.
Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Nash (Hair vs. Hair Match)
- The match goes back and forth with each man getting his fair share of near falls. Jericho ends up putting on the Walls of Jericho but Nash reaches the ropes. Nash then hits the Jacknife but Jericho puts his foot on the ropes. Nash tries for another one, but Jericho flails his arms and pokes the ref in the eyes before lowblowing Nash. He pulls some brass knucks out of his boots (presumably) and clocks Nash in the forehead with it to pick up the win. Jericho then grabs some scissors and frantically cuts off the near unconscious Nash's hair. As Nash starts coming to, Jericho takes off with some of Nash's hair in his hand and then starts rubbing it on his face for some reason.
- Earlier today, a little girl's cat is seen stuck up in the tree. Rosey, the S-H-I-T, comes by for the rescue. He gets the cat down and as the girl is thanking Rosey, Hurricane flies in and starts talkig to the girl. In the background and as this is going on, the cat attacks Rosey so he slams it against the tree and chucks it away. Rosey tells Hurricane that they need to get out of here for another missio and with that, they fly away as the girl calls out for her (now dead) cat.
Rodney Mack vs. Rosey
- Theodore Long is back and says that it seems like people are still keeping Rodney Mack down. Rosey comes out with Hurricane and the match gets underway. Mack gets the early advantage but Hurricane and Mack get into it which allows Rosey to capitalize. He hits a Samoan drop, punches Mack, then hits a Stinger splash into a side slam for the victory.
- We go back to the camera at the McMahon estate to get an interview with Linda. She says that she has two herniated discs in her neck but she's been undergoing therapy and hopes that she won't need to get surgery. JR asks her about the psychological effects of the incident when the doorbell starts ringing. Linda says she might not ever be able to be in Kane's presence again or even in the arena again, but the doorbell keeps ringing so she excuses herself to answer the door. Before she can get there, Eric Bischoff walks into the picture as Linda asks him how he got in. Eric says she looks shocked to see him but probably not nearly as shocked as Shane must be. Eric complements Linda on how she looks and starts looking through some of the papers on her desk. Linda tells him to stop or else she'll call security but Eric stops her and then talks about how he's not here to hurt her, he only wants to hurt her son. He rants about how Shane bought WCW, the company he built from the ground up. Eric says that's how he will beat Shane - from the ground up. First he'll take out his legs and when he's on his knees begging for him to stop, he will beat him down to a bloody pulp. Linda tries to slap Eric but Bischoff grabs her arms and holds it behind her back. He kisses Linda and asks her to show him to the bedroom.- Backstage, a furious Shane McMahon grabs his bag, steals some guy's car and takes off...all in reaction to what he saw between Eric Bischoff and Linda.
Christian vs. Rob Van Dam (Intercontinental Title Match)
- Christian spends much of the match working on RVD's left shoulder, which is injured after RVD misses Christian and runs into the steel post. RVD fights back though but misses a kick and causes a ref bump. Christian heads to the outside for two steel chairs. He sets up RVD for a one-man conchairto but RVD moves out of the way and hits the Van Daminator instead. He heads to the top for the Five Star Frog Splash but the ref is still out so Kane makes his way out. RVd hits a Van Daminator on Kane but then misses a suicide dive and gets clocked with the chair. Kane drops the chair and carries an unconscious Rob Van Dam to the back.
- Backstage, Test forces Stacy to perform a lap dance party for himself, Rico and Steven Richards. Stacy doesn't want to, so Test tells her to turn her face around and dance. She hesitantly obliges as the three men cheer her on.- Backstage, Kane ties up RVD who is still out cold. Kane decides to wake him up by pouring some gasoline over him. RVD wakes up so Kane goes to light him on fire with some matches. It takes him about five tries to get the matches lit but when he finally does, Kane decides not to saying that is what "they" want him to do. From now on, he'll do what he wants.
- Steve Austin comes down to the ring to serve as the special enforcer in the Randy Orton vs. Goldberg match. After the commercial, Randy Orton is seen in the ring while Triple H and Ric Flair are seated at the commentating table. Finally, Goldberg is seen coming out of his dressing room and making his way to the ring.
Goldberg vs. Randy Orton
- Orton runs around avoiding Goldberg for the first little bit, but Goldberg eventually catches him and levels him with a clothesline. They end up outside where Orton throws Goldberg into the steel steps and then back in the ring, where he gets a two count. Goldberg fights back with a gorilla press and a back body drop but Orton uses the Flair thumb to the eye but Goldberg shrugs it off and shoves Orton into the ref. Bodyslam by Goldberg but there's no ref so Austin counts the two. Finally, Flair has enough of Austin and runs down and pulls him out. Flair then enters the ring and starts putting the boot to Goldberg so Stone Cold enters himself and beats up Flair because he's "provoked". Orton then goes after Austin but turns around just in time to get nailed Goldberg's spear. Austin hits the Stunner on Flair as Goldberg hits Orton with the Jackhammer (which JR calls the Jacknife) and Austin counts the 1-2-3 pinfall victory.
- After the match, Goldberg and Triple H (who is still by the commentating table) yap back and forth. Out of the crowd comes Kevin Nash nailing Goldberg with a clothesline and the Jacknife. On the ramp, a smiling Triple H shows his belt to Nash and poses but he turns around and runs into Shawn Michaels and his Sweet Chin Music. Nash and Michaels acknowledge each other when Jericho sneaks up from behind and levels Shawn with a chair to the back. Jericho picks up the belt and stares down Nash, who is still in the ring.End of show.
