RAW Opening: LIVE from Phoenix, Arizona, the WWF is back on at 9pm EST to
showcase RAW is WAR! Video rolls, pyro flames, JR welcomes and RAW is
officially underway. The show starts out with none other than the
Commissioner himself, Mick Foley. Mick begins by saying he should be
apologizing for coming out as just Mick Foley, when the rugged terrain of
Phoenix would suit Commissioner Cactus Jack better. He says if anyone could
have a better return than Jack, it would be Stone Cold. Foley recaps
Austin's speech, and says that the interrogation doesn't have to happen at
Unforgiven. With Austin not in Phoenix, Foley will make his own
investigation because wrestlers will be more likely to confess to calm Foley
than mad Austin. Foley says that if anyone has the guts to come out, things
will be settled right now. The music of the People's Champ hits, and Rock
enters the building. Rock makes his way to the ring, with Foley (and JR) in
disbelief. Foley yells at Rock, for coming out now. Foley goes off on Rock,
calling him a cold-hearted, calloused, but Rock stops him. Rock says he
admits it. He admits that this is the most half-assed investigation he's
ever seen. Foley asks if that means Rock didn't do it. Rock says he most
certainly didn't do it. He says he has always plead his innocence, and the
best thing to happen will be for Austin to go to Unforgiven, find who did it,
and beat that man's ass. Foley is glad, but then asks why Rock came out.
Rock says he's here for one reason: payback. He explains that on SmackDown!,
Rock got chokeslammed through a table by Kane. Rock makes fun of Kane's
"rage," and then says the only thing that matters is that Kane is the #1
Contender, and he needs to bring it to Unforgiven. This of course brings
Chris Benoit out on the ramp. He says Foley can't be as stupid to let Rock
vs. Kane happen. Benoit says it is the World WRESTLING Federation, and he is
the best damn wrestler today. He says he beat Rock before, and he deserves
the title shot. Foley understands, and begins to speak, when the fire spews
from the stage, and Kane enters. Just as Kane reaches the ring, his big
Badass brother enters. Taker says that since the talk is of #1 Contenders,
we can't forget the Dead Man (yes, he said dead man). Suddenly, Benoit goes
after Rock and Kane goes after Taker. The four brawl in the ring, with Kane
inadvertently knocking Foley outside. Refs break everything up, while Foley
looks on, stunned. Commercial.

Dudley Boys vs. Hardy Boys (#1 Contender): Replay of Kane knocking Foley out
of the ring. Michael Cole asks if Foley is OK. Foley says he's fine, and
that by the end of RAW, the #1 Contender will be named. Also, Benoit and
Kane will fight Taker and Rock. In the arena, the D-Bombs drop, and the
Dudleys enter. The Hardys enter. The Tag Champs music hits and they make
their way to the announce table while the Dudleys double on the Hardys. Matt
takes out D-Von outside and tosses him into Jeff. Matt hits a leg drop
1-2-kickout. Tag to Jeff. Reversals, ending with a dragon sleeper slam by
D-Von. Tag to BuhBuh. Tag to Matt. Sidewalk slam by BuhBuh 1-2-kickout.
Full Nelson slam by BuhBuh on Jeff. Double team on Matt 1-2-broken by Jeff.
Jeff suicide dives onto D-Von on the outside, and Christian runs to them.
The ref yells at them, while Matt goes up top. Edge jumps up and hits Matt
with the title belt. Matt falls from the turnbuckle, onto BuhBuh 1-2-3! The
Hardys win, and Edge & Christian can't believe it. They try to pick up the
pieces, but the Dudleys 3-D Christian through a table. Commercial.

Lita vs. Ivory (Women's Title): Lita enters first, followed by Ivory, who
mocks Lita's moves. Drop toe hold by Lita. Clothesline in the corner by
Lita, followed by a hairtoss 1-2-kickout. Sidewalk slam by Ivory
1-2-shoulder up. Ivory picks up Lita, drops her into a powerbomb
1-2-kickout. Enziguri by Lita. Suplex by Lita, but then Naked Man runs in.
Ivory yells at him as he runs away. Lita hits her Twist of Fate on Ivory,
followed by a moonsault 1-2-3! Lita retains. In his office, Foley is
talking with Kurt Angle. Angle kisses up to Foley, who puts Angle down.
Angle says he will beat T&A in handicapped match. He complains that Triple H
gets the night off, while he fights two men. Foley says that as long as
Angle shuts up, he'll book Triple H in a match tonight. Commercial.

Eddie Guerrero & Chyna vs. Too Cool: Lawler says that the main thing in a
relationship is trust, but lately there has been no trust between Chyna and
Eddie. This is followed by the truly disturbing videos of the late
developments in their relationship. We see that earlier today, Chyna would
not talk to Eddie, and kicks him out of her room, but he keeps trying to
apologize. Eddie says he's wrong, and is sorry. He says that he lost
control, but he couldn't let the belt get between them. Chyna says Eddie
needs to control his temper. Eddie says he knows and expresses his love for
her ("my partner in life"). Chyna forgives him, and Eddie says they should
celebrate by kicking ass. Chyna asks who, and Eddie responds "Let's beat up
Too Cool!" Chyna doesn't like it, but Eddie tells her it's all in fun and
they'll all dance at the end. Back live, Too Cool dances to the stage.
Chyna and Eddie enter, all smiles. Chyna high-fives both members of Too
Cool. Eddie jumps Too Cool from behind, throwing Scotty outside. Scoop slam
on GrandMaster. Eddie beats on GrandMaster, whipping him in the ropes, but
getting a big boot. GrandMaster goes up top and dropkicks Eddie. Tag to
Scotty, double wishbone. Elbow drop by Scotty. Scotty drops Eddie, and then
climbs the turnbuckle. Flying crossbody 1-2-kickout. Eddie fights back.
Belly-back suplex by Scotty, and both men stay down. Eddie refuses to tag
Chyna when Scotty tags GrandMaster. Eddie knocks Chyna off the ropes,
inadvertently, and Scotty hits the Worm on Eddie. Meanwhile, Chyna pulls
GrandMaster outside. Chyna runs in and clotheslines Scotty outside.
GrandMaster goes up top for the Hip Hop Drop on Eddie 1-2-3! Too Cool sticks
around for the dance. Eddie apologizes to Chyna. Eddie whips Too Cool
around, but then extends his hand, for a shake. The shades go on and the
dancing starts, but Eddie ducks out in the beginning. Eddie comes back in
with the IC belt and nails both members of Too Cool. Chyna can't believe it.
Rikishi runs down and takes out Eddie with a Superkick and a buttslam.
Eddie falls into StinkFace position, and Chyna doesn't know what to do.
Chyna turns around and hits Rikishi with the IC belt, but can't stand
herself. In the back, Triple H is lacing up his boots, telling Steph his
woes. Triple H says T&A will kill Angle, and can't believe he doesn't know
who his opponent is. Because of that, he tells Steph to stay behind. Steph
says she just wants to watch him in action. Trips says she'll see him in
action, up close later. Commercial.

Triple H vs. TBA: The Game comes out, without his wife. In the back, Chyna
is pissed at Eddie. Eddie kisses up to Chyna, but she isn't buying it.
Eddie says she should be in pictures. Chyna says before they were together,
she had pictures taken, and she'll be on the cover of Playboy. Eddie asks
about the interview. Chyna says it's pictures. Eddie says she's covered,
but Chyna tells him they're nude. Eddie blows up, saying she's his Mamacita,
saying he should only see her. Eddie runs off, saying something about
beating up Hugh Hefner. Back in the arena, Triple H is waiting for his
opponent. The Y2J Countdown hits 00, and the Ayatollah enters! Jericho
welcomes us to the show that bears his name, Raw is Jericho. He says he was
surprised when he found out he was fighting Trips tonight, but Trips is
surprised a lot, like when Angle kissed Stephanie and liked it. Jericho says
all three of this love triangle can kiss his ass. They brawl at first, then
shove. Flying forearm by Jericho, followed by a spinning heel kick. Triple
H back body drops Jericho to the outside. Trips ax handles Jericho from the
apron. Triple H drops Jericho onto the security barrier. Trips gets a
springboard dropkick from Jericho, and they go back outside. Chops by
Jericho, who slams Triple's head into the stairs. They go back inside.
Jericho goes up top and hits a back elbow 1-2-kickout. Big boot by Jericho,
but a high knee by Game 1-2-shoulder up. Trips sets Jericho up for a
Pedigree, when Steph comes out on the apron clapping. Triple H sees her, and
Jericho counters into the Walls of Jericho. Bulldog by Jericho, then a
Lionsault, but Trips gets his knees up into Jericho's stomach. Kurt Angle
comes down, and tries to get her away from ringside. Kurt pulls her back,
but Steph insists on staying. Triple H yells from the ring, but Jericho
whips him around, but Trips gets a high knee. Triple H runs out and pulls
Steph away from Angle. They shove. X-Pac runs from the crowd and takes out
Jericho. The bell rings, and Jericho wins via DQ. Triple H goes berserk,
and runs in the ring. They yell at each other and Trips shoves X-Pac down.
They yell some more as we go to commercial.

Right To Censor vs. Acolytes: Video of all Rock's entertainer fans at the
2000 Video Music Awards, and presenting with Kid Rock. Video of Chyna
beating Survivor's Richard Hatch at the VMA's also. The sirens blare, and
Bull and Goodfather come down. Replay of Stevie taking Val Venis. The
Acolytes run down and they start to brawl. Bradshaw fights Goodfather.
Bradshaw takes control and tags Faarooq and we see Val Venis on the stage
with a chair. Tag to Bull. Clothesline by Bull. Powerslam by Faarooq
1-2-kickout. Val inches closer. Tag to Bradshaw. Neckbreaker by Bull, who
hits a springboard clothesline on Bradshaw. Shoulder tackle by Bradshaw, and
Val is almost at the ring. Faarooq takes out both RTC members. Goodfather
back body drops Bradshaw outside. Val goes on the apron, but Teddy Long
keeps him down. Bull pins an Acolyte (it got confusing). Val runs in and
takes out the Acolytes with chairs. Stevie runs down and shakes hands with
Val, Stevie keeping the menacing smile. Commercial.

Al Snow vs. Tazz (Euro Title): As we come back, we see a picture of Germany
on the TitanTron and we hear Al Snow's theme song spoken in German
(Koph=Head). Al comes down in total leiderhossen wear. Tazz comes out, now
with lighted entrance ramp. Replay of Lawler beating on Tazz. Tazz jumps

up from behind and hits Tazz with Al Snow's David Hasselhoff picture. Snow
rolls him up 1-2-3! Tazz gets a mic and says it's over. He says Lawler can
win this feud. He says he can't afford to keep losing matches because of
Lawler's politics. Tazz says he taps out, and is now just another victim to
the World Wrestling Federation. Video on the SmackDown Your Vote debates.
In the halls T&A with Trish are making their way to the ring, as is Kurt
Angle. Commercial.

Kurt Angle vs. T&A: King Kurt comes out and says he is dedicating this match
to all the US athletes in Sydney. He also dedicates it to Stephanie
McMahon-Helmsley. He says T&A remind him of Randy Johnson and Kurt Schilling
(Arizona D-Backs pitchers), two big lugs who have accomplished nothing. T&A
come down with Trish. Albert starts out, pounding on Kurt. Belly-back
suplex by Kurt, but a huge big boot by Test. In the back, Triple H is
laughing. Double team by T&A. Huge double underhook side suplex by Albert.

by a clothesline that knocks Angle outside. We see Triple H laughing, but
Steph isn't there anymore. Test knocks Angle outside again. Trish gets in
shots on Kurt, but Steph runs down and takes out Trish. Test forces Steph in
the ring, into Albert. Test sets Steph up for a powerbomb, but Triple H runs
out and clotheslines Albert. The bell rings, and Triple H tries to fight
both T&A. Angle runs in and helps Triple H, the two beating T&A outside.
Angle checks on Steph, which Trips sees. Triple throws Angle across the
ring. Steph separates the two, but Triple H pushes her aside. The ref
separates Steph, but she slaps him. Triple H and Angle beat off referees.
Triple H sets Angle for a Pedigree, but Steph grabs him from behind. Triple
H whips around and elbows Steph (think what Shane did about a year ago). As
Triple H and Angle fight, Steph gets knocked off the apron. Triple H leaves
Angle and tends to his wife. Triple H picks Steph up and walks her up the
ramp. Kurt spins him around and decks Triple H, who still has Steph in his
arms. Commercial.

Steve Blackman vs. X-Pac (Hardcore Title): In the back, Triple H is helping
Steph. Foley comes in and says this is out of hand. Foley says that this
has to stop, so at Unforgiven they'll fight, with Foley as the referee.
Triple H agrees. Blackman comes down, followed by X-Pac. Shoulder block by
Blackman, followed by a karate kick. Blackman gets a trashcan and two lids.
X-Pac hits Blackman with a lid, but Blackman kicks it into Pac's face.

Blackman puts the can in the turnbuckle, but X-Pac drop toe holds Steve into
the can. Bronco Buster by X-Pac. X-Pac gets a fire extinguisher, but
Blackman takes him out and gases him. Blackman gets nunchucks and a kendo

the kendo stick. Blackman lays on top 1-2-3! In the back, Benoit is telling
Kane that they must function as a team, no matter what. Commercial.

they need to team up. Taker says they're not friends, but he'll be there for
Rock. Commercial.

The Rock & Undertaker vs. Chris Benoit & Kane (No DQ): Kane comes down
first. We see that Jericho is "cut" and bleeding bad. Benoit comes out.

clotheslines Taker, who falls with Benoit in a pinning predicament 1-2-3!
Benoit wins. However, Foley says that because of the tainted victory, he
must call it a Fatal Fourway at Unforgiven. The four men brawl all over the
ring until a small army of referees try to break it up. The wrestlers take
out the refs and Rock Bottom on Benoit, Chokeslam on Kane. End Show.
