RAW Opening: LIVE from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, scene of a certain
hit-and-run accident almost a year ago, the WWF presents the last RAW is WAR
before No Mercy! Pyros light up the visual, welcomes fill the audio, and RAW
is underway. We start with Eddie "Two Mamacitas Are Better Than One"
Guerrero, ready to defend the Intercontinental Title against Chris Jericho.
Eddie gets on the mic and says he knows all the chicks like him, whether they
be playmates, hos, or just babydolls. He says he didn't let Chyna walk out
of his life, but that he got tired of her moaning, crying and whimpering. He
calls her a pain in the ass, saying he's the boss. He then turns attention
to Billy Gunn. He says he'll find the same thing that Chyna will find when
she crawls back, not a bed of roses, but his right foot kicking their ass out
of his life. He then says that if Foley wants to book him against Jericho
again, or Billy Gunn, or Miss Floozy, then fine. With this the Y2J Countdown
hits 00, and the Ayatollah enters. He stops on the stage and says that for
the first time in a month, this show isn't supposed to start with a twenty
minute interview, so shut up and let RAW is Jericho begin. They run at each
other, and Eddie hits a shoulder block. Oddly, both men appear to be wearing
the same pants. Eddie slides out after getting worked on, and the ref begins
to count. Jericho goes out, forcing Eddie back in. Eddie appears to have
hurt his hamstring, and referee Tim White calls for the bell. Eddie crawls
to the corner, with Jericho yelling at he and White, when X-Pac runs down and
attacks his opponent at No Mercy. Billy Gunn runs down, takes care of X-Pac,
and gets fired up. X-Pac walks back, with Mr. Ass taunting all the way. In
the garage, a black limo pulls up and Kurt opens the door for his business
partner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, who orders Kurt to take her bags. He
then see Rikishi getting set for a sit-down interview with the Coach.
Commercial.Rikishi Interview: JR says that the interview was conducted earlier today,
and we roll tape. Coach asks how has Rikishi's life changed, to which
Rikishi responds that it has been great. Not from the fans, but from his
people has he gotten praise. Rikishi then says that he has been banned from
Joe Louis tonight. Coach asks about this, and Rikishi says this is not to
protect Rikishi, but to protect Austin. He says he is proud of what he did,
and would do it again. Coach says that his people may be proud, but the Rock
is not. Rikishi says he heard what the Rock said on SmackDown, and
everything that Rock said hurt him. He thinks Rock is confused, because he
is cool deep down inside, because blood is thicker than water. Coach says
Rikishi nearly ended Austin's career, and yet shows no remorse. Rikishi says
he is proud, and meant every word he said on RAW last week. He says the fact
is that he didn't want the WWF's oppression to happen to the Rock, like the
rest of his family. He says as long as Rikishi is here, Rock will find new
levels of stardom. Coach brings up the match against Austin. Rikishi says
he doesn't give a damn about Austin, saying he would slap Austin across the
face. He says if you think hitting him with a car was something, wait until
No Mercy. The interview ends, and the RAW announcers comment negatively
about Rikishi's words. We then cut to tape from Heat, where T&A lost not
only their money, but also Trish's clothes in a poker game against the
Acolytes, but with T&A getting the final word. Back to tonight, we see the
Acolytes coming to the ring. Commercial.T&A vs. The Acolytes: Test, Albert and Trish come down first, followed by
the Acolytes. Albert goes at Bradshaw, with Faarooq fighting Test outside.
Bradshaw hits a shoulder block, followed by a club to the neck on Albert.

double team, and now the Acolytes double on Test. Faarooq takes it to Test,
who comes back with a neckbreaker. Powerslam by Faarooq 1-2-kickout. Back
elbow by Faarooq, but Test hits the Full Nelson slam and tags Albert. Albert
takes it to Faarooq, hitting a clothesline in the corner, then a double
underhook suplex 1-2-shoulder up. Tag to Test, who gets elevated onto
Faarooq 1-2-broken by Bradshaw. Faarooq rolls up Test, but he breaks the
hold before the ref gets back. Faarooq sets Test up for a gut wrench, but
Albert clothesline him. Test hits a big boot 1-2-shoulder up. Faarooq
floats out of a powerslam, and DDTs Test. Both men tag, and Bradshaw takes
it to Albert. Bradshaw goes up top and hits a flying shoulder block 1-2
-broken by Test. Faarooq takes Test outside, but Trish gets on the apron and
distracts Bradshaw. Bradshaw locks lips with Trish, allowing Albert to hit
the Albert Bomb 1-2-broken by Faarooq. Faarooq hits a spinebuster on Albert,
followed by a Clothesline from Hell by Bradshaw 1-2-3! Bradshaw gets the
kiss and the pin, what a night! In the back, Steph is trying to explain to
Triple H her business decision. Steph says that the WWF being her business,
and not being able to help him, she decided to help Kurt. Triple H says what
if a guy like Kane attacks her, but Steph says that is a chance they'll both
have to take. Trips storms out. Commercial.Al Snow vs. William Regal (Euro Title): In the back, Steph tells Angle that
she will make sure that Kurt will be the WWF Champ after No Mercy, gold that
means more than his gold medal. Triple H walks in, saying "Get out." Steph
says Kurt should stay, but Trips says he was talking to her. She leaves and
they sit down. In the ring, Al Snow comes out, representing jolly old
England, singing his theme song in an English accent, holding a disturbing
picture of William Regal. The real Brit comes down and takes the early
advantage on Snow. Multiple reversals to start off. Neck breaker by Regal
1-shoulder up, then another one count by Regal. Regal continues getting one
count pins, then proceeds to knee Snow in the face. Suplex by Regal
1-2-shoulder up. Regal locks in a sleeper, but Snow battles out, but gets
knocked back down. Al battles back, hitting a shoulder breaker, and then
punching Regal in the face. Al clotheslines Will, then hits a back body
drop. Regal knees Snow in the face, but Snow blocks a kick and hits a
belly-back suplex with a bridge 1-2-shoulder up. Al goes up top and performs
a moonsault, but William gets his knees up, then straps in a submission move
that forces Al to tap out! William Regal is the new European Champ. In the
back, Triple H tells Angle that Steph is Angle's responsibility, and his ass
is on the line. He then says that if this turns past a business
relationship, it'll be Angle's ass. Trips leaves Angle smirking behind. We
see Kane making his way to ringside. Commercial.Triple H vs. Kane: The Big Red Machine comes down first, lighting both stage
and ring. Then, the man with the indeterminable entrance song enters,
receiving an audible pop. Before they can start, the Crippler comes down.
Kane takes advantage of the distracted Triple H, as Benoit comes to the
announce table. Clothesline by Kane, then another, but he misses an elbow
drop. Falling neckbreaker by Triple H, who then pounds on the fallen Kane.
Trips clotheslines Kane to the outside, but Kane pulls him out and slams him
on the security barrier. Triple H comes back and smacks Kane's head off the
steps. Trips leaps from the apron onto Kane, who catches him and rams him
into the ringpost. Kane goes up top and hits a flying clothesline on The
Game 1-2-shoulder up. In the back, Angle is laughing but Steph says she is
going to save Triple H from Benoit's interference, but Angle keeps her from
going. In the ring, Kane has retaken the advantage until The Game pounds
Kane in the corner. Kane lifts up the Game for a good 7 seconds before
slamming him to the ground 1-2-kickout. Kane works on Triple H's back, then
chokes him with his boot. Kane rams into Triple H, then elbows him in the
corner. Back elbow by Trips, followed by the high knee. Trips fights back,
hitting the knee to the face. DDT by Game 1-2-shoulder up. Trips floats out
of a tombstone, then sets up a Pedigree, only to be flipped by Kane. Kane
tosses Triple H outside, but Trips guillotines Kane on the ropes and dives at
Benoit. Trips pounds on Benoit until Kane gets out. Trips whips Kane into
the ringpost, then hits a Pedigree on the floor. Benoit nails Trips with a
chair to the back. In the ring, Benoit hits two German suplexes and then the
Crippler Crossface, with the bell ringing all the way. In the back, Austin
is walking around toward the entrance. Commercial.Stone Cold Interview: Michael Cole introduces the Rattlesnake, who makes his
way to the ring. Cole asks Austin how he felt coming the scene of his
accident. Austin says he is happy and pissed at the same time. He's happy
to be in Detroit, but is pissed that in this place he was put out of action
for 10-11 months. Cole asks what he felt about Rikishi's interview. Austin
says it was a bunch of crap. He says there is a man in the ring who doesn't
need protection from Rikishi, and that man is Austin. He says Rikishi hit
him with a car, and now threatens that he's going to slap him? He says he
has pictures of Rikishi all over his house and truck, so that he can look a
dead man. Cole brings up the No Holds Barred match at No Mercy. Austin says
he won't pull and lucha libre wrestling, but will stomp a mudhole in his ass
and walk it dry. Austin snatches the mic and Cole runs away. Rikishi
appears on the Titan Tron in the garage. He says he would like nothing more
than to be in the ring, but Foley saved his ass. Rikishi says he is banned
from the arena, but not the garage, so if Austin wants some, he'll be there
all night. Austin runs out of the arena, towards the garage. Austin gets to
the garage, but can't find Rikishi. All of a sudden a car bursts from behind
some boxes, nearly hitting Austin again. Rikishi pops out the window,
yelling about No Holds Barred at No Mercy. Commercial.X-Pac vs. Billy Gunn: X-Pac comes down, apparently unannounced, although
wearing his wrestling attire. Pac takes a mic and says that Jericho hasn't
had enough. He says he beat him First Blood style, but no he has to worry
about another dumb blonde, one that DX kicked out months ago. He says
Billy's been gone and now wants to make a name off X-Pac, so Pac calls out
Billy Gunn. Gunn comes out, but not in wrestling attire. Eddie appears
behind Gunn and nails Mr. Ass in the back of the head with his IC belt. A
ref runs down, the bell rings and we have a match. Spinning heel kick by
Pac, who signals for the Bronco Buster, but Jericho runs down and takes him
out. Refs swarm from behind to separate the two, but X-Pac gets a chair.
Jericho hits a springboard dropkick into the chair which knocks Pac off the
apron. The two continue to brawl and be separated, and brawl and be
separated, and on and on until commercial. The Dudley Boys vs. Los Conquistadores: Billy Gunn goes to Foley's office,
yelling about Eddie Guerrero. Gunn demands Eddie, and Foley grants it at No
Mercy. In the ring, the D-Bombs drop and those damn Dudleys come down. Los
Conquistadores come down, with JR assuming they are Edge and Christian, but
the Heat replay is shown, where Los Conquistadores cost Edge and Christian
the match. BuhBuh starts with the taller gold-clad wrestler. BuhBuh hits a
hiptoss, then a scoop slam, and then a back body drop on the smaller
Conquistador. BuhBuh splashes both Conquistadores in the corner. D-Von
makes quick work and then tags BuhBuh for a double clothesline. BuhBuh
chokes in the corner, but the Conquistador fights back, but only for a short
while. Tag to D-Von, who hits a scoop slam. D-Von tries to pry the mask
off, but Conquistador Dos knocks him out. Uno tags Dos (my names), and Dos
gets a pin 1-2-shoulder up. Tag to Uno. Uno works on D-Von, hitting a low
dropkick. Tag to Dos, who lays in a choke. Double team on D-Von. Tag to

cleans house. Scoop slam on Uno, followed by the Whassup diving headbutt.
BuhBuh calls for the tables, but the Conquistadores leap onto D-Von.
Sit-down Powerbomb by BuhBuh on a Conquistador, but he goes for the mask, not
the pin. The other Conquistador runs in and dropkicks him in the head,
allowing the other to roll BuhBuh up 1-2-3! Los Conquistadores ganan!
Commercial.Road Dogg vs. Val Venis: The Dogg does his pre-match stuff, with a special
anti-RTC message thrown in about having the right to whoop ass. Val comes
down with Steven "Old White Socks" Richards. Val starts with the advantage,
stomping Dogg in the corner. Back elbow by Val, followed by a knee drop
1-2-shoulder up. Val continues the punishment, but Dogg fights back, hitting
a flying forearm, then clotheslining Val to the outside. Val drops Dogg on
the security barrier, but Dogg whips Val into the steps. Dogg goes after
Steven, only to allow Val to regain the advantage. Suplex by Val, who then
forces Road Dogg to look into the eyes of Steven Richards. Val locks in a
sleeper, but Dogg fights out and rolls up Val for a two count. Val locks in
the sleeper again, but Dogg fights out and the two clothesline each other.
Dogg gains the advantage, then it goes to Val, but Dogg then hits a drop toe
hold and a back body drop. Val fights back, only to receive Shake, Rattle,
and Naked Man! Dogg finishes his move, and Naked Man hits Steven. Val Venis
low blows the disturbed Dogg and rolls him up for the victory. In the back,
Steph orders Angle out of his room and berates him on the way to the ring.
Commercial.Stephanie and Kurt Angle Interview: Steph comes out alone, with no music.
She says she is here to introduce the man who will guest host Heat this
Sunday Night, where he will interview current WWF Champ The Rock; the man who
will become the new WWF Champ, Kurt Angle. Angle comes out and says that
everyone is making a big deal about this being the arena where Stone Cold was
hit. He says this arena is famous not for that, or the Red Wings, but for
the national TV debut of Kurt Angle. Steph asks if Detroit is known as the
Motor City. Angle says that's true, and it's fitting because it's where Rock
just happened to leave his keys out and Rikishi just happened to pick them up
and motor into Stone Cold. Steph says Rock will have no excuses when Angle
beats him for the WWF Title, just like Triple H did. Angle says that unlike
Triple H, he will have gotten the Euro, IC, and World Titles in one year.
Angle says that Rock may be the most electrifying man in sports
entertainment, but his days are numbered, and that is true. Commercial.Rock & The Hardy Boys vs. Kurt Angle, Edge & Christian: Angle and Steph are
already in the ring when we return. Edge and Christian come down, with JR
again commenting that they were probably Los Conquistadores. The Hardys come
out, with the lovely Lita. Rock comes down, and this team is made of Tag

up with Edge to start, and Edge hits a Russian Leg Sweep 1-2-shoulder up.

under a lot of ice. Angle hits an overhead belly-back suplex, then stomps
Rock in the corner. Tag to Edge, who receives a clothesline. Tag to Jeff,
who hits a flying forearm and then dropkicks Edge in the back. Matt comes in
and Jeff hits Poetry in Motion 1-2-kickout. Matt is the legal man, and he
takes it to Edge. Edge gets tied up in the ropes and Christian gets hit.
Matt catapults Edge into the dazed Christian who falls outside. Matt calls
for the Twist of Fate, but Edge fights out and tags Angle, who takes it to
Matt. Angle pounds Matt in the corner, tag to Christian. Kick to the head
by Christian, who straps on a sleeper. Matt fights out, but gets a knee to
the stomach. Triple team on Matt, tag to Edge. Dropkick by Edge
1-2-shoulder up. Tag to Angle. Elbow drop by Angle 1-2-shoulder up. Angle
beats on Matt in the corner, tag to Edge. Matt hits a big boot, but gets
clotheslined by Edge. Matt hits a neckbreaker out of nowhere, and both men
are down. Tag to Christian, who knocks Jeff off the apron and keeps Matt
from tagging. Lita climbs the turnbuckle and hits a jumping hurricanrana on
Christian. Angle pulls her out and allows Steph to run Lita into the
turnbuckle. Matt and Christian are down in the ring, tag to Rock and Angle.
Rock cleans house, hitting an overhead belly-belly suplex, but Kurt fights
back. Jeff leaps onto Edge outside. Spinebuster by Rock, but Christian
breaks up the People's Elbow. Rock Bottom on Angle, but the ref is checking
on Christian. Steph pulls Rock off Angle, and Rock grabs her, allowing Edge
