We start with video of Austin's taunting of Angle with his medals, including his tossing of them into the river. The Raw Video rolls, and the pyros erupt nearly as loud as the crowd in Toronto, "We Stole WrestleMania From Florida", Canada for tonight's Raw. We'll see The Rock defend his WCW Title against hometown-hero Christian.
But we start with The Undertaker, riding down to the ring, with his WWF and WCW Tag Belts on his shoulders. Test's music hits, and the Alliance member marches down, looking to continue his rise up the ranks.
They lock up, and Test rams Taker into the corner, but the ref breaks it up. Taker shoves Test down, and they lock up again. Shoulder block by Test, but Taker hits an armdrag. Back elbow by Test, but Taker hits a drop toehold and locks in the submission, only for Test to grab the ropes.
Test explodes with a clothesline after the ref admonishes Taker. Stomps by Test, followed with elbows and kicks in the corner. Sidewalk Slam by Test 1-2-shoulder up. Clubs to the back by Taker, but Test hits a back elbow. Flying back elbow by Test 1-2-shoulder up.
Russian Legsweep by Test, and then another. He goes for a reverse Russian legsweep, but Taker blocks and rolls him into a leg grapevine, only for Test to get to the ropes yet again.
Exchange of punches by the two big men. Taker begins getting an advantage and hits a flying clothesline. Clothesline in the corner by Taker, followed by a hard clothesline off the ropes. Taker calls for the end and sets Test for the last ride, when a man in black runs in.
IT'S STEVIE! Stevie Richards is in the ring and Superkicks the hell out of Taker. As the DQ Bell rings, he taunts Undertaker until the big man awakes. Taker chases Stevie out, but runs into a Test Big Boot.
Earlier tonight, Christian was talking with an usher about being a huge celebrity in his hometown. Two people come up and ask the usher where their seats are. They march off to the front row, after telling "Edge's brother" how much they love being here. As they leave, Christian tells the usher to get them in the nosebleeds, so no ugly people mar his WCW Title win. Fade Out.
During the break, our man Stevie ran out but got stopped by Michael Cole. Stevie says that Undertaker was the only person who was able to break up the RTC, so it should be no surprise that he was Stevie's first victim. And tomorrow night, he wants Taker one-on-one.
We cut to clips from today's press conference, where it was announced that Toronto stole WrestleMania from Florida--er, I mean, won WrestleMania. All the Superstars spoke on how big it will be, and how great WrestleMania X-8 will be.
In Regal's office, Tajiri is complaining to Regal about Torrie's interfering in his match last night. Regal tells him to make up for it, he is giving Tajiri and any partner a match against the Dudleys to determine the #1 Contenders. He asks who Tajiri's partner is, and we find that it's Big Show.
In the back, Austin and Debra arrive, and are surprised to find a group of Alliance Superstars. Steph talks about how Angle took the flames out of Austin Appreciation Night, only for Austin to put out Angle's hopes and dreams with his tossing of the medals. Austin says that, when he tossed those medals, he did it for each and every member of the Alliance. He asks if they've seen Kurt, but Steph remarks that he's probably scuba diving back in Detroit. She says that they have a huge surprise for him, and it's on its way. Fade Out.
The D-Bombs drop and BuhBuh and D-Von come down the ramp, followed by Big Show and Tajiri.
Tajiri runs to the ring early, and gets tossed right out. Big Show clotheslines down both Dudleys and tags in Tajiri, who hits a missile dropkick to BuhBuh. He goes crazy on D-Von and then kicks BuhBuh off the apron. Tarantula to D-Von. BuhBuh makes a blind tag and hits a flapjack onto the ropes.
As BuhBuh comes in, Torrie Wilson runs down to ringside. BuhBuh with repeated clubs and elbow drops 1-2-kickout. Tag to D-Von, and they hit a double flapjack.
D-Von goes for a second rope leg drop, but Tajiri moves and hits a dropkick. Tag to Show and BuhBuh
Clothesline to BuhBuh, then aother. Big Boot to D-Von. Scoop slam to BuhBuh, and a back body drop to D-Von. He grabs BuhBuh for a chokeslam, but D-Von low blows him. Tajiri tags in and goes to Mist BuhBuh, but hits Show instead!
Show, blinded, flails around, nailing Torrie Wilson in the process! Tajiri looks over to check on her and gets spun around by the Dudleys, who hit the 3D 1-2-3!
After the match, Show clears the mist from his eyes and sees Torrie laying there. He picks her up and carries her off to the back, allowing the Dudleys to grab a table. They set it up and BuhBuh powerbombs Tajiri through the table. Just as it happens, Show runs back down and forces the Dudleys out.
In the back, Shane and Booker walk in on Christian. Shane tells him that he has the opportunity to win the WCW Title. Booker T is a 5-Time WCW Champ, who was robbed. They don't want that to happen to Christian. So "in the interest of fairness", Booker and Shane will be at ringside to make sure Christian doesn't get robbed. And in return, Christian gives Booker T a Title Shot tomorrow night. Christian agrees. Fade Out.
Standing by at WWFNY, is WCW US Champion, Kanyon. Heyman asks "Who Better Than Kanyon?". Kanyon says that this is now Alliance New York, and who better to be here on a US Holiday than the US Champ. He only wishes he could be up there to give Austin his surprise, because "who better than Stone Cold Steve Austin?"
Austin starts to say that Kanyon may eventually win the WWF Title, just not from him. Steph bursts in, and tells them that his surprise is almost here. Austin asks again if she has seen Kurt Angle. She says that there is no way Angle will show up tonight. Austin gets a beer, but it's explosion shows us how much on edge he is tonight.
In the arena, Stacy and Stasiak make their way to the ring. Spike's new TitanTron hits, and he and Molly make their way down.
Stasiak starts stomping away on Spike. Hard scoop slam by Stasiak, followed with more stomps. Spike goes for a crossbody, only to be caught and press slammed down. Spike floats over a suplex, but Stacey trips him. Stasiak puts Spike in the corner and runs for a spear, but trips or misjudges the distance, or something... Spike picks him up and hits the Acid Drop 1-2-3!
Afterwards, Stacey tries to hit Spike, but being the gentleman that he is, he takes her slaps until Molly runs in. Molly whips her into the corner and hits the handspring back-elbow.
In the back, Edge says that it would be awesome if he won the WCW Title in his hometown. Christian says that he has to do this alone, and doesn't want Edge to come down to ringside. He says that he realizes that Edge is the King of the Ring, and gives him back his trophey. But he leaves saying "even though my Title is just a little more prestigious than yours, we'll still be brothers". Fade Out.
In the back, Perry is still going crazy about needing $100,000 to get Moppy back, and needs help, even going so far as to ask Alliance member Hurricane Helms. Helms says that they want $100,000, or 100 Grand...and last week's Raw was in Grand Rapids... and the person is a mystery, which starts with 'm', just like Moppy and... Matt Hardy... he tells Perry that his Hurricane Sense is pointing to Matt Hardy.
Booker T's music hits, and Booker and Shane come down to watch this WCW Title match. Booker gets a mic. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest will be for the WCW Title. Introducing first, your guest ring announcer, the 5-Time WCW Champion, me, Booker T. And now, representing the special...um, what's the guy who keeps the time?... time keeper... Your special guest Time Keeper, Shane McMahon. And now, the challenger, he is none other than your very own, Christian!"
Christian's music hits, and the hometown hero makes his way down the ramp. He hits the ring and shakes Booker's hand.
"...and now, introducing, the so-called WCW Champion, the man who wishes he was more talented than the Booker Man, the sucka who is going to get his ass kicked all over Toronto..."
Rock's music hits and he makes his way down, not allowing Booker to finish.
Booker distracts Rock, allowing Christian to attack from behind, knocking Rock out of the ring. Shane leaps on him, kicking and punching the Champion.
Back in the ring, Rock explodes with a clothesline, but Booker trips him, allowing Christian to hit a clothesline. Rock pops back up and hits a flying clothesline. Christian with a spinning heel kick, and then tosses Rock out of the ring.
As the WCW ref yells at Shane, Booker grabs Rock and drops him on the announce table. Christian rams Rock into the table, and then into the apron.
Back in the ring, Christian stomps away on Rock, but Rock starts firing back, only to get a driving reverse backbreaker from Christian 1-2-shoulder up
Choke by Christian, followed by a choke on the ropes, and Shane gets in a punch on the prone ropes. Knees by Christian, but he runs into a Samoan Drop.
Both men go down, and the ref starts counting. The ref starts yelling at Shane, as Booker tosses the belt to Christian. Rock ducks the belt and starts pounding on Christian. Belly-belly by Rock, followed by a DDT 1-2-kickout!
Christian starts pounding away, only to be spinebustered down. He locks in the Sharpshooter, not exactly the best move to use in Canada. Shane pulls the ref out, causing Rock to jump out and beat the hell out of Shane. Booker chokes Rock on the ropes and Christian hits the reverse DDT 1-2-shoulder up!
Exchange of punches. Christian whips Rock, but Rock reverses and Christian goes flying into Booker T. Rock spins around the stunned Christian and hits the Rock Bottom 1-2-3!
After the match, Booker taunts from the outside. Rock tells him to just bring it, and he does. Rock starts beating on Booker, but Shane attacks from behind and turns it into two-on-one. The aPa hit the ring and chase Booker and Shane out through the crowd.
In the back, Steph is on the phone and tells Debra that the surprise is here. Debra tells Austin not to come out until they tell him to. Fade Out.
"Bodies" hits and Stephanie makes her way down to the ring.
She says that all these Canadians are messed up. They take simple statements, and turn it into a question. Take the example "Stephanie, you're looking incredible tonight, eh?".
And what about Thanksgiving? I mean, there weren't Canadian pilgrims. And even if there were, at least celebrate it on the right day, or even the right month!
And what about Labor Day? Why would Canadians, the laziest people in the world, be able to mooch of the American's hard work and take their day off?
And speaking of hard-working Americans, here is the WWF Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin! Austin's music hits and he marches down to the ring.
She says that this is such a proud moment for herself, the Alliance, and especially Debra. Here is Austin's surprise: a brand new truck!
We cut to the TitanTron, where Debra is standing in front of Austin's brand new F-150. She points out the paint job, and its antenna ("it matches the paint!"), and the mirrors, and chrome running boards to help her get in the truck.
We move to the inside, where this truck has not two, but four doors. It even has power steering and brakes, so you can turn and stop and all that good stuff. She points out the raised, white letters on the tires. So why doesn't Austin come out to the back to take his sweet little wife for a ride in this beautiful pick-up.
Austin and Steph leap out of the ring and march up the ramp. We cut back to the truck, where Debra is shining up the windows.
Austin and Steph arrive. Austin says that he loves it. He walks around it, rubbing the seat, looking at the license plate, kicking the tires. He climbs up on the pick-up bed and jumps around. He gets up and leans against it, Titanic-style yelling "I'm the king of the world!"
As he yells, the truck behind them opens up and Kurt Angle bursts out, nailing Austin with a pipe. He pulls out cinder block with a chain around it, and tells Austin that they're going for a drive. He gets in the driver's seat and speeds away. Fade Out.
The Hardy's music hits and Matt and Lita make their way down the ramp for this intergender tag match. Ivory's music hits, and she makes her way down. Stand Back! There's a Hurricane Coming Through! Hurricane Helms, the European Champion, makes his way down.
Matt and Helms start out, with Helms floating over a suplex, only to be punched down. Mounted punches by Matt. Helms 'buckles Matt, but Hardy knocks him down and misses the moonsault. Tag to Ivory.
Ivory misses the elbow drop, and Matt tags in Lita. Head scissors by Lita, but Ivory hits a back elbow, and a facebuster 1-2-kickout. Lita floats over a suplex and hits a reverse DDT. Tag to Helms and Matt.
Matt with knockdown punches and armdrags, and a swinging neckbreaker. He sets Hurricane up for the Twist of Fate, but Ivory hits him in the back. Lita spears Ivory and they battle, while Matt goes second rope.
Perry Saturn runs up and pulls Matt down. He tries to talk to Matt, but Helms knees Matt into Perry, knocking him off the apron. Hurricane hits the reverse club to the neck and scores the 1-2-3!
Afterwards, Perry tries to tell Hurricane that he saw him hit Matt, who hit Perry. Helms tries to disagree, but Perry knows what he saw. Helms extends a hand, and Perry takes it, and short clotheslines Helms! Belly-belly by Saturn, and Helms escapes out with Ivory.
In the back, Edge tries to console his brother, when Lance Storm bursts in. He says that first, Toronto lost it's Olympic bid, then Christian lost his match, and Edge is going to lose the IC Title later tonight to him. It just proves that nothing good every came from Toronto. Edge goes off on him, saying that getting beaten by a midget is pathetic, having no personality is pathetic, never having kissed a girl is pathetic. But Lance won't have to worry about looking pathetic tonight, because Edge is going to give him a straight-up ass kicking. Fade Out.
In the back, Debra and Steph are trying to phone the Canadian police about Angle's attack and kidnapping of Austin, when they see the truck on the tv.
Angle pulls out a blindfolded Austin, who is chained to the cinder block. Angle says that Austin's actions inspired him. He spent two days finding the perfect location. He pulls Austin out and shoves him up against a bridge. He pulls off Austin's blindfold and makes him look down at the river.
He forces Austin to say he's sorry, but Angle just replies "What?". He says that he's going to do the same thing to Austin that Austin did to the medals. He tries to push Austin over, but Austin fights back. Austin tells Angle that he doesn't really want to do this.
Angle stops and says that he doesn't really want to do this. "This bridge isn't nearly high enough". Angle tosses Austin back into the truck and drives off.
Back in the arena, Steph tries to console Debra, and yells at the Alliance members to get out there and try to find and stop Angle. Fade Out.
Lance makes his way down, with the WWF having done a good enough job at keeping him heel that he gets no pop. But that's all different for our next competitor, hometown hero, King of the Ring, IC Champ, Edge!
Storm attacks Edge from behind, but Edge hits a back bodydrop. Head scissor takedown by Edge, sending Storm flying out of the ring. Back inside, multiple reverses of suplexes, ending with Lance blocking and hitting a kick that knocks Edge to the outside. Back int the ring, Storm hits a flying shoulder 1-2-kickout.
Chinbreaker by Storm, followed by a dropkick and two count. Storm smashes Edge's face into the mat. Both men go for a crossbody, and manage to take the wind out of each other.
Both up by eight, with exchanges of punches. Back elbow by Edge, followed by a clothesline and a spinning heel kick 1-2-shoulder up.
Storm goes for the Superkick, but Edge blocks it. Edge goes for the Buzzkiller, but Storm blocks it and chops down on Edge's knee. Storm locks in the Half Crab on the injured knee, making sure Edge can't get to the ropes the first time, but Edge makes it the second time.
Storm contineues to kick away at Edge's knee repeatedly, but Edge grabs a kick and spins into a roll-up 1-2-3!
Afterwards, Storm drop toeholds Edge down again and goes to grab a chair, but Christian runs down with a chair of his own and forces Storm away. Christian and his brother embrace. He gives Edge the KotR trophey, but nails Edge with the chair! Christian just nailed his brother with the chair! He kisses the King of the Ring trophey and tosses it onto Edge. He screams "It's all your fault!". He picks up Edge's head and puts a chair under him. With Edge's head laying on one chair, Christian picks up the other chair and delivers a one-man ConChairTo. And this isn't one of those barely miss ConChairTo's. No, this was chair-to-head-to-chair. Damn... Fade Out.
It's he, it's he, it's RVD. Then Rhyno makes his way out. Jeff makes his way out, after nearly two weeks of selling the massive table bump. Finally, the Y2J Countdown hits 0.00 and Jericho makes his way out.
Jericho and Van Dam start out, with Jericho locking in a headlock and scoring a shoulder block. Spinning heel kick by Jericho. Tag to Hardy.
Jeff tries to lift up RVD, but has to drop because of his hurt ribs. Jeff 'buckles RVD and pulls him down. Double legdrop by Jeff, who then knocks Rhyno off the apron. Swanton to RVD, but he's too hurt to pin. Tag to Jericho.
Jericho tries to run in, but Hebner never saw the tag. Meanwhile, Rhyno drops Jeff on the ropes and gets tagged in. Shoulder thrust in the corner by Rhyno. Side belly-belly by Rhyno, who rears back for the Gore, but Jeff drops to the ground before Rhyno hits. Tag to Jericho and RVD
Jericho tosses Rhyno to the outside and hits a victory roll on RVD but Rhyno breaks it up. Jeff with a suicide dive to Rhyno on the outside, while RVD hits a reverse splash 1-2-kickout.
Reversals of waistlocks, with RVD going for a slam, but Jericho blocks and rolls him up 1-2-3!
We cut back to Angle and Austin, who are now on a much higher bridge. Angle takes off Austin's blindfold and forces him to look down to the water. Austin says that, if Angle takes off the chains, he'll go back and get the gold medals from the river. Angle talks about how your life flashes before your eyes. He says that he's going to make Austin wait, never knowing when he's going over the bridge. He wants Austin to think about begging, and about crying. Austin is going to go over, and the truth is going to hurt. Fade Out.
