Raw Opening: A nice Martin Luther King, Jr., tribute of sorts. Recap of SmackDown! (Cactus Jack's return.) Cactus Jack starts the show. Says HHH woke up one mean ol' SOB. He realized when he bled that deep down he is Cactus Jack. Replays from the Cactus Jack/HHH match from MSG in '97. He says Cactus Jack is no normal man. Says Mankind will return, but there will be no Mankind, or laughter, at the Royal Rumble. He says he is "one bad son of a bitch! One mad son of a bitch!" Wants a piece of HHH tonight. HHH comes out, says he wouldn't have chosen the Street Fight vs. Cactus Jack, but he will pull out all the stops. Says, at the Rumble, he will be even more sadistic, twisted, and evil than Cactus Jack could ever imagine! Says Mick Foley actually hates and is scared of Cactus Jack. Cactus re-asks for a match right now. HHH says he'd love to, and then brings the rest of DX down to the ring. 4 on 1 beating of Cactus Jack. ROCK comes down, but Big Show pulls Rock out of ring and starts dismantling DX and Rock. Now Acolytes come down. Cactus, Big Show, and Acolytes take DX out of picture. And we're off to our first commercial break...

Hardcore Championship Match - Bossman vs. Test: Finally a Hardcore Championship match! Recap of Prince Albert's turning away from Bossman. TAZZ's symbol. Test brings Bossman out through crowd, under the seats. Fighting in darkness, can't see. Bossman slams Test into wall. Bossman chain-punches Test. Into bathroom. Joke about someone in the stall. Bossman continues to beat Test. Test gets a metal gate shut on his neck. 1-2-kickout. Test's nose is bleeding again. Test coming back, fight back towards ring. Bossman with trashcan to Test's head. Prince Albert comes down and gets a trashcan to the head from Bossman. 1-2-kickout. Albert hitting Bossman, Test with the nightstick to Bossman and Albert. Test takes the nightstick and drops a big elbow off the top turnbuckle. 1-2-3! Winner and New Hardcore Champion: Test

HHH says Outlaws take on Big Show and Rock to soften them up. HHH says he and X-Pac take on Acolytes. X-Pac doesn't like this. Shows Terri in her dressing room (Wowza!) and JR says there will be info on the Miss Royal Rumble Swimsuit Competition. Onto our second commercial break.

Godfather/D'Lo Brown vs. Edge/Christian: Bossman says he will get revenge on Prince Albert tonight! D'Lo looks more like a pimp every night! D'Lo and Christian start out. Reversing each others moves, Christian comes with a dropkick. Tags Edge. Edge taking it to D'Lo. D'Lo battles back, tags Godfather. Godfather with a big kick to Edge. 1-2-kickout. Tag to D'Lo, double team in the corner. Edge with a Lou Thesz Press. 1-2-kickout. D'Lo tags GF. GF off the rope, gets a knee from Edge. Double Tag, D'Lo on Christian. Christian and Edge double team GF, Edge spear. Christian sends D'Lo into a ho, Christian gets whipped by D'Lo, but nails D'Lo. Christian goes to tag Edge, but Edge is down helping the ho. Christian gets taken down by D'Lo, 1-2-3. GF gives Edge/Christian the hos, but Edge is engaged and gets chased to the back by the hos.

Bossman/Prince Albert: They're fighting in the back. Bossman is taking it to Albert. Bossman sends Albert into Tori's dressing room. Boy, I wonder where this one is going... Michael Cole will have an update on Austin's surgury. Third commercial break.

Kurt Angle vs. TBA: Tori comes into HHH/Steph's room and gets the Prince Albert/Kane match. Kurt says he is confident that no matter who his opponent is, he will win. Blackman comes down as the opponent. Oooh, big shock! Steph is pissed about this match. Blackman taking it to Angle. Angle comes back with a belly-belly suplex. Blackman and Angle double clothesline. Blackman with a shoulder tackle, takes Angle outside the ring. Angle reverses Blackman into the ringpost. Bulldog comes down, takes the kendo stick and cracks it on Blackman a couple times. Angle pins Blackman. Steph takes credit for the win, but HHH looks pissed.

Big Show interview: Big Show says he took the Rock's calling him a jabroni personally and that's why he hates Rock. Says it's totally personal. Says he will win the Rumble, go to WrestleMania, and become the champ. Says tonight, Rock better let Big Show do his thing. Cuts to Miss Kitty (I hate the Kat thing) waxing up her very nice looking legs. Boy I loved Armageddon! Fourth commercial break.

Preview of the Rumble Swimsuit Comp.: King is in the ring with all the participants. Terri maybe hot, but apparently it's cold in the ring! Terri says less is more, meaning clothes. Kitty says "remember Armageddon?" B.B. says that she'll give a "bigger" show than Kitty. Ivory says everyone is a pervert and she won't participate. Luna and Jacky say if they have to, Ivory has to, and they take Ivory down. Big pile of women in the ring. Mae Young comes out and watches from the ramp. Mae comes down into the ring with King, and says its time for everyone to get their money's worth, so she'll let her fans see her puppies. Oh god no! Mark Henry and Moolah come to stop her, thank god. *NOTE* JR keeps saying "Buyer beware". Could this be a warning that we may have another "Armageddon moment" at the Rumble? Shots of Acolytes and HHH/X-Pac coming through the building. Commercial break.

HHH/X-Pac vs. Acolytes: HHH/Steph/X-Pac come out first. Personal question: Wasn't HHH cooler in pants than his "underwear" as I call them? Acolytes come down and immediately start to fight. HHH and Bradshaw in the ring, Farooq/X-Pac out. HHH and Bradshaw take it into the crowd, X-Pac taked Farooq into the steps. HHH and Bradshaw are now on the ramp and X-Pac and Farooq are in the ring. Bradshaw nails HHH on the ramp and Bradshaw comes down and double teams X-Pac in the ring. It's now X-Pac and Farooq in the ring. Farooq tags out. Steph says there is a plan, even though X-Pac is getting killed. X-Pac battles back but is taken onto the turnbuckle by Bradshaw. HHH saves X-Pac who goes to hit Bradshaw from the rope, but gets caught. Multiple reversals followed by a double tag. Bradshaw spinebusters HHH. Outlaws come down, bell rings. 4 on 2 beating of the Acolytes. FameAssEr on the belt to Bradshaw by Billy Gunn. Multiple shots and the Acolytes are done.

Stone Cold Update: Michael Cole reports that Stone Cold's surgury went as well as could be expected (of course you'd know that from Rajah's newsboard). The doctor outlines what was wrong and how he went about the surgury. Says Stone Cold was great emotionally throughout the ordeal. Says it will be many months before a possible return, but in anywhere from 3-6-12 months, Stone Cold will be better than before. Commercial break.

DX Locker Room: DX celebrates. Recap of previous match. HHH says when Stone Cold comes back, he'll get beaten like that. Road Dogg says he's totally confident about the Rock/Big Show match.

Rock Interview: Finally, The Rock yada yada yada. Rock says if he were with SCSA he'd toast him and give him an Oh Hell Yeah. Kevin Kelly says maybe Rock should retract his statement about Big Show. Rock says BS isn't a jabroni, but he's a steaming, stinking pile of monkey crap! Rock spells it out for Show, literally (J-A-B-R-O-N-I). Says he guaren-damn-tees he will win the Rumble and WrestleMania. Says he doesn't want or need Show tonight, but says Show can do his arm-thing (great imitation by Rock). If ya smell yada yada yada. Commercial.

Jeff Hardy vs. BuhBuh Ray Dudley: Jericho warming up for an IC title match against Rikishi. BuhBuh starts out fast, but Jeff with another crazy top rope move. 1-kickout. Jeff with a suicide dive over the rope onto Buh Buh. Buh Buh slams Jeff hard. Buh Buh back-body-drops Jeff. Jeff with that leg-tornado type slam. Buh Buh slams Jeff, and D-Von goes after Terri. Buh Buh goes to leg drop Jeff, but Jeff moves. Jeff senton bombs Buh Buh 1-2-3! D-Von comes in and double teams Jeff. 3-D on Jeff. Matt comes in, gets a 3-D. Dudleys take a table into the ring, put Jeff on the table, Buh Buh gets on the top rope, D-Von gives Matt to Buh Buh and Buh Buh superbombs Matt into Jeff.

Hardcore tells Crash he doesn't get what Jericho is doing, putting his (Hardcore's) title on the line against Rikishi. Chyna tells Kitty she doesn't get what Jericho is doing. She says Jericho's ego is getting as big as Rikishi's butt! Commercial break.

IC Title Match - Chris Jericho vs. Rikishi Phatu: Rikishi comes out with Too Cool, but Rikishi sends them back. A little mix-up on the timing of Jericho's pyro and his music. Jericho says he is defending against Rikishi because that is what real champions do. Says to "Rakashiki" that he is a much better dancer. Rikishi starts out fast but Jericho gets a dropkick off the top. On the outside, Rikishi takes Jericho into the steps twice. Jericho with a dropkick, but is later caught by Rikishi who rams Jericho into the ringpost. Rikishi with a leg drop 1-2-shoulder up. Jericho gets thrown into ref, Rikishi belly-belly on Jericho. Hardcore and Crash come down and get destroyed by Rikishi. Rikishi superkick to Jericho. Rikishi signals the sit-down piledriver, but gets low-blown by Chyna (that sounds disgusting!) Jericho and Chyna shove, Rikishi nails Chyna out, goes for the sit-on but gets chaired to the back by Hardcore. Too Cool come down and destroy the Hollys. Rikishi sit-down piledrives Crash. Dance, Rikishi, Dance! Recap of Bossman sending Prince Albert into Tori's dressing room, Prince Albert vs. Kane after the break.

Prince Albert vs. Kane: Cactus says Show should work things out with Rock, but Show doesn't seem to agree. Kane comes out to what appears to be new, bigger pyro. Maybe it was just the angle. JR continues to bring up the Tori/X-Pac weekend. Prince Albert runs out and gets nailed by Kane. Bossman watches from the back. Prince Albert takes it to Kane, but gets chocked on the rope. Kane "flies" off the top rope. Kane chokeslams Albert, 1-2-3. Real interesting match, and so different from the last couple Kane matches :) But wait! Prince Albert gets on the mic and says that Kane obviously likes to be dominated by a woman, and so does he. What that means? I'm not sure, and neither is anyone else. Cactus and Rock are talking in a room. Cactus says what he said to Show (Work together, DX is bad etc.) Rock says he'll work with Show and thanks Jack, but appears to be lying. Commercial break, last one probably.

Outlaws vs. Rock/Big Show: Oh ain't this thing old? You see it's me, it's me, I say the same old worn out thing, everytime I come down to this here ring :) Road Dogg proves he can rhyme with Haven, cleans up the act (no more Doggy Style), and procedes with the same old introduction. Big Show comes out. Rock comes out and Show and Rock right as if they were opponents. Outlaws sit back and watch. Show throws Rock into the ring and Outlaws take it to Rock. HHH/Steph/X-Pac on the ramp. Show doesn't even stand on the apron. Outlaws continue to take it Rock, Rock counters 1-2-kick out. Road Dogg elbows Rock on the outside. Billy Gunn goes to throw Rock into the steps, but Rock hits RD. Rock throws Gunn into the post. Outlaws come back. Road Dogg 1-2-kickout. Road Dogg shake-rattle-and Rock Bottom! 1-save by Billy Gunn. Crowd chants "Big Show sucks!" Billy Gunn jackhammers Rock 1-2-kick out. Rock counters a whip and slams Billy Gunn. Rock gets thrown out by Billy Gunn and Show headbutts Rock and throws him in the ring. Road Dogg 1-2-kickout. Road Dogg sets up a pump handle slam, Billy Gunn decides to try a FameAssEr, but Rock counters. Rock rolls out and gets slapped by Big Show. Show comes in and takes it to the Outlaws. Road Dogg brings a chair up, gets stopped by the ref, Rock brings a chair in and smacks Show. Outlaws roll on top of Show 1-2-3. DX celbrates on the ramp while Rock climbs into the ring and Rock Bottoms the Big Show. DX applauds.
