RAW Opening: LIVE from Orlando in lately not-so sunny Florida, the WWF
presents RAW is WAR! Tonight's pre-Independence Day show begins with Triple
H and Steph in the back. Triple H says that Steph let Jericho kiss her. She
insists it was disgusting, but he says he saw her kiss back. He sees Foley
in the back, and he insists on Jericho tonight. Foley says that he'll give
it to him, but it would be better saved for the pay-per-view. As for a title
shot, Foley says he'll get one tonight, but against Rikishi for the
Intercontinental Title. Triple H says fine, and that tonight, Rikishi is
Jericho. The RAW pyros flare and JR welcomes us. Then, the Latino Heat,
Eddie Guerrero and his Mamacita come down for Eddie's title defense. That's
right, we are starting with a European Championship match. Eddie's opponent
is none other than Chris Benoit. Benoit comes down with a scowl. (Sign in
crowd: Benoit Sux, eh?) Benoit whips Eddie, but gets Shoulder blocked. Head
scissors by Eddie. Benoit flips Eddie onto the ropes and knocks him down.
Kicks by Benoit. Tilt-a-whrl backbreaker by Eddie 1-2-shoulder up. Suplex
gets floated over by Benoit, who then drops Eddie on the ropes, where he
falls out. On the outside, Benoit beats on Eddie, and in the ring he knees
him down. Stomps by Benoit. Benoit whips Eddie in the turnbuckle. Benoit
lifts Eddie up and drops him hard to the mat 1-2-kickout. Rib breaker by
Benoit. Benoit goes to back body drop Eddie, but Eddie turns it into a
hurricanrana. Clothesline by Benoit 1-2-kickout. Nice flying roll-up by
Eddie, but Benoit chops Eddie into the corner. Elbow by Eddie, who flies
into Benoit's head from up top. Eddie controls Benoit in the corner. Eddie
goes to the top, but Benoit pulls him off. Benoit then flips Eddie into the
turnbuckle. Benoit grabs the belt and is winding to hit Eddie, but the ref
holds him off. Chyna slides in and takes the belt, and forearms Benoit. The
ref calls for the bell as Eddie dropkicks Benoit, who flies into Chyna. As
Benoit is announced the winner, he hits Eddie with the belt and then puts
Chyna in the Crippler Crossface. Lots of refs come to the ring, but Benoit
keeps in the hold. Eventually he walks off, smiling. Commercial.Foley/Rock Interview: Replay of the ending of the previous match. In the
back, as Chyna is being attended to by the EMTs, Eddie is going crazy,
kicking things. In the ring, The Commissioner Mick Foley enters. Mick asks
if we know what he has. He says he has the greatest job in the world. In
one week, the Faction has split up, the WWFE stock is through the roof, and
we have a new WWF Champ. He says he sometimes has to make decisions that
aren't popular. So he hopes we understand when he bans the Worm...Just
Kidding! He says he has a #1 Contender decision. He says he set up a nice
Triple Threat match, but Triple H and Kurt Angle screwed up totally. So
tonight, the possibilities are wide open. At this, the People's Champ enters
and takes in the home state pop. Rock gets a mic and Mick extends his hand.
Rock says that after all his various matches with Mick Foley, welcome back.
The two shake hands and Mick congratulates Rock on being a 5-Time Champ.
Mick says that that has to put him in the elite list of great champs of all
time, and how does that make him feel. Rock thinks it over and begins to
talk when Foley screams "It doesn't matter how it makes you feel!" Foley
rolls out of the ring and runs around chanting "Foley! Foley!" He rolls back
in and says he finally got The Rock. Rock says didn't he tell him never to
use the Rock's catchphrases. Rock says there should be no deliberation over
#1 Contender, and Foley should just make the #1 Contender. At this, "No
Chances" hits and Shane "The Bump Machine" McMahon comes to the stage. He
asks, how could a normal man, who suffered such injuries at KotR, stand here
tonight. The answer is that a normal man could not, but Shane has never been
a normal man. He was a scholar and an athlete in college. He was captain of
the debate team, and the water polo team. He says he sustained a 15 foot
chokeslam through the announce table. He has endured a power hungry mother,
and an ego-crazy father, and a brother-in-law who lost the Title without
being pinned, and has had to endure the fans call his sister a slut. Now he
is being made to watch the power slip from his fingers to a slob called the
Commissioner. No way, says Shane. Shane says it should be he who leads the
WWF into this new millennium, and it should be he who decides the #1
Contender. Foley says that it was hard to hear, but he heard that Shane says
he should be #1 Contender. Shane fervently denies this, but soon the Rock
admits that is what he heard as well. Foley says that he taped King of the
Ring, and watched Shane's bump in slow-motion and he saw that Shane has what
Rock calls, and what Foley calls, Testicular Fortitude. Therefore, Shane is
the new #1 Contender, and will fight the Rock tonight. Rock says that Shane
can run his mouth about Independence Day, but Rock knows that like George
Washington, who could not tell a lie, neither is the Rock lying when he says
he will kick Shane all over this arena. In the back, we see Rikishi walking
to the ring. Commercial.Rikishi vs. Triple H (IC Title): Rikishi makes his way first. Triple H's

Rikishi, who has gained momentum. Knee by Triple H, followed by a
clothesline. Big knee by Triple H 1-2-shoulder up. Triple H thrusts his
shoulder into Rikishi's belly in the corner. Triple H takes Rikishi to the
outside, but here Rikishi gains an advantage. Back in the ring, Rikishi
keeps his advantage, until Rikishi telegraphs a whip and Triple H sets up a
Pedigree. Rikishi counters with a flip, but when he goes to sit on Triple H,
Triple H rolls out. Clothesline by Triple H, followed by a knee 1-2-shoulder
up. Triple H pounds on Rikishi on the ground. DDT by Triple H, but Rikishi

doesn't interfere. If there is interference, Triple H doesn't get his match
with Jericho at Fully Loaded. Triple H agrees. Jeff comes down with Lita,
and Val comes down with Trish. Jeff starts out quickest, and gets a

by a Swanton Bomb. Trish gets on the apron, and the ref goes to her, rather
than count. Lita pulls Trish off and the two ladies fight, which the ref
tries to break up. Tazz runs from nowhere and puts Jeff in the Tazzmission.

going. In the arena, X-Pac and the Road Dogg enter. Road Dogg gets on the
mic. He welcomes Orlando to the Dogg House, and he says he has new words to
say. He comments about "Y2Gay" and writing checks his body can't cash.
Then, the Y2J Countdown hits 00 and the fireworks start a day early. The
Ayatollah comes down, mic in hand. As he climbs the stairs, our Commish
enters and says that with Triple H being a bully, he might not have been
completely clear. He says this is not a 2-on-1 handicap match, it's 3-on-2.
X-Pac and Road Dogg will now fight Jericho and...the Acolytes. As the

Undertaker, you're a cool guy, too." The pose consists of Edge with a Kane

lights everything up. Then, "he's here..." and the Badass enters. Taker
starts out quick on Edge. Big boot by Edge, who beats on Taker in the
