Ric Flair Interview
-The Raw music video plays, the pyros explode, and we are LIVE from Texas A&M. We begin with Raw owner Ric Flair, who makes his way to the ring looking a bit antsy. We have a tremendous program tonight, but first he must appologize. There's a wealth of great performers in the back, and he's sorry he has to take up time from them. But because of actions last week, he must address a certain individual. Stone Cold Steve Austin is anti-authority. Unlike Vince, Flair has no desire to go to war with Austin. In fact, they have a lot in common. They both travelled the country, busting their asses to give the people the best of professional wrestling. He likes Austin, and he is determined to make their relationship work. There's nothing Flair wants to see more than Austin defeating Undertaker at Backlash to become the #1 Contender. Stone Cold is the man. But he has a problem with what happened last week. Video rolls of Flair coming to Austin's aid, only to get a Stunner in return. The first time Austin Stunned him, he let it slide. He gave everyone a warning: put your hands on Flair, and you'll have hell to pay. The glass breaks, and Stone Cold himself marches down to the ring. As Austin tries to pose for his fans, Flair blocks him from the turnbuckles and gets in his face. As he was saying: if Austin puts his hands on Flair again, there will be hell to pay. There will be no suspension like Kevin Nash got, but there will be a fine of $5,000. Are we clear? Austin can see him, hear him, and read his lips. Austin asks who his opponent was last week. It wasn't Stone Cold vs. Ric Flair. It was Stone Cold vs. Scott Hall. Flair isn't Razor Ramon. So if you get come into the ring and get your ass Stunned, that's the way it is. Austin didn't ask for help. Flair ran down and got a Stunner; big deal. He didn't need Flair's help last week, and he won't need it at Backlash. Austin starts messing with Flair's jacket and tells him that he will be the #1 Contender. And that's the bottom line. "Rollin" hits, and Undertaker walks down to the ring. As far as Taker is concerned, there isn't just one bottom line. He and Austin have a long history, with a lot of battles, lots of wars. Austin won some; Taker won some. This Sunday will be another war. But Sunday is also different. They're not fighting because they don't like each other, but for a shot at the WWF Title. With this "brand extension" and owners fighting between each other, guys like he and Austin aren't going to get Title shots like they used to. Their past doesn't mean anything anymore. If Taker has to out-wrestle Austin, he'll out-wrestle him. If he must out-cheat Austin, he'll out-cheat him. But he'll do whatever it takes. The thing that pisses him off though, is that Austin sits and tries to pick a fight with Flair, when deep down, Austin knows he needs Flair's help. Austin doesn't need anyone's help. If Flair shows up in the match, after he beats Taker 1-2-3, he'll Stun Flair as well. Taker says that Austin's got it wrong: after he beats Austin, he'll kick Flair's teeth down his throat. Flair says they both have it wrong. As owner of the company, he's making himself the Special Referee. The screen goes black and white, and Scott Hall and X-Pac come out and slowly walk down the ramp. The nWo is sick of hearing what Ric Flair wants. Hall actually has to agree with Stone Cold: Flair had no business getting involved in their match. Flair stuck his nose in, as did Bradshaw, and now Hall has no Title Shot. So tonight, he wants Austin one-on-one. After he beats Austin, he'll beat Taker. Austin immediately agrees. Flair however, says no. Hall and X-Pac get ready to jump Flair, when Bradshaw runs down. He shoves Flair out of the way and tosses X-Pac and Bradshaw out of the ring, as Stone Cold does the same to Undertaker. They run off, with Flair going nuts on the outside as Bradshaw and Austin drink in the ring. Fade Out.In the back, Flair is freaking out over being punched inadvertantly by Undertaker in the brawl. He says that Austin and Bradshaw will take on Taker and the nWo.

Scott Hall can go to the store and buy peanuts, walnuts, even macadamia nuts. But he can't buy the kind he needs. When he shows up at Backlash, maybe he and X-Pac should combine so they can have a whole set. But tonight, Bradshaw is here with the biggest baddest Texan of them all, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and they're going to kick a lot of ass and drink a lot of beer.
In the back, Hall and X-Pac, wearing Kane's mask, watch what Bradshaw has to say. Only two things come out of Texas: steers and queers, and there aren't any horns on Bradshaw. Tonight, they'll let Undertaker take care of Stone Cold, while they pick apart Bradshaw like they did to Kane.

He says that Brock can play nice with Matt at Backlash, or he can play rough. The choice is Lita's, depending on how she wants to play with Heyman.
