-Vince McMahon makes an address from his office. Flair named the Undertaker to be the #1 Contender to the Undisputed Title last Monday night on RAW. He should have recalled that the winner of the coin toss gets to name the #1 Contender. Since Vince won the coin toss, he's going to name the #1 Contender tonight!

-We're here in the Blue Cross Arena with Micheal Cole and Tazz for the first new uber-Smackdown! Tonight, Angle will take on Edge.

-Speaking of Angle, the Olympic hero himself comes down to the ring. He came out to state "Yes". He's officially willing to face Triple H at Backlash. He doesn't need to stand there and list all the reasonswhey he deserves the titles shot, but since the fans are "dissing him", he will anyway. Reason number 1- He OWNS Triple H. He's beaten him more times than anyone else in the WWF. 2- Olympic. Gold. Medalist. (Wait...he is? Since when?) 3- He is adored by children and senior citizens everywhere. Especially the sick ones. He has only 26 more reasons to go. As he starts reason number 4, Chris Jericho comes out. Angle, that pompous Jackass, there's no way he deserves the title shot. No one deserves it except Jericho. He was the first Undisputed Champion, and he hasn't even gotten a rematch yet, except for the match that Stephanie lost. And now the fans think he's a has-been (that he says with a great Canadian accent..."has-bean"). He is not, is not, is not a "has-bean". He's going to take the title shot, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Angle says that his quest for the title "has been" completed. Jericho says he's HI-larious. Jericho reminds Angle that the last time they were in the ring, Jericho beat Angle. They can do this all night, but there's only one way to settle it- a one on one match tonight for the #1 Contendership. They shake on it when the Rock comes out to the top of the ramp. Finally he's come back to Rodchester. If anyone should face Triple H at Backlash, it should be someone who's had many big matches with Triple H. But maybe it should be someone else. "Hogan" chants start up. Rock knows he'll win the title one day. But until then, there's someone who deserves the title shot more than him. They should give the shot to a legend, an icon, Hulk Hogan. Jericho is pissed. He says he thinks it's ridiculous. It doesn't matter what he thinks. Angle thinks...It doesn't matter what he thinks, either. This is the new Smackdown!, and it's now the People's Show. They are going to let us know who they want to go to Backlash. "Hogan" chants start up. Rock tells McMahon tat the fans have spoken. Money talks, bullshit walks. If you smell it (and it smells like chicken).

Commercial break.

-Albert is training when Scotty comes in. Scotty psyches Albert up for the match for the Tag Team titles.

Scotty and Albert vs. Billy and Chuck- Tag Team Titles
-Scotty and Albert are now miraculously in the ring (I think Albert's grunting gives them the power to teleport). Billy and Chuck come out with Rico. Scotty and Chuck start. Neckbreaker by Scotty, who gets a 1 count. Billy and Chuck hug, and Scotty takes a shot at Chuck. Billy gets in. Armdrag by Scotty. Shot by Chuck. Clothesline by Billy. Double team by Billy and Chuck. Superkick to Chuck by Scotty, who just kind of falls down. Tags to Albert and Billy. Albert hits right hands to Billy and Chuck. Powerslam to Billy, 1-2-Chuck tries to break it up, but accidently hits Billy with an elbow drop. Body splash to Billy. Tag to Scotty. Rico hits Albert, who goes after Rico. Chuck clotheslines Albert on the outside. Tornado DDT to Billy by Scotty. Heel kick to Scotty by Rico. Cover by Billy, 1-2-3!
Here are your winners and STILL Tag Team Champions- Billy and Chuck
-After the match, Scotty hits a bulldog on Rico and goes for the W-O-R-M, but Albert hits a Bicycle kick on him! Albert then hits a Body Splash and Baldo Bomb on Scotty (I think he's jealous of Scotty's hair...it's always about the 'do...just ask Booker T).

Commercial break.

-McMahon comes out of his office when a new interviewer comes to talk to him. Vince asks hwho he is. He says he's Mark Lloyd. Vince asks if he's ever worked for Flair, which he says he hasn't. Mark asks if Vince knows who the #1 Contender is. Vince says he does. He doesn't succumb to public pressure. He wants to give the opportunity to the one deserving individual- Hulk Hogan.

-Jericho flips out when he sees this and starts yelling at Rock. He sais that the shot was his. What has Hogan done? He couldn't even beat the Rock. Jericho's beaten the Rock. Rock tells Jericho to try and beat him tonight. Jericho accepts. He's going to beat the People's Champ on the People's Show.

Christian vs. Diamond Dallas Page
-Christian comes out. We see a montage of his temper tantrums, then DDP's mentorship, then their match at Wrestlemania. DDP comes out. Leg toss by DDP. Christian is clothslined outside. Guillotine on the ropes by Christian. In the ring, Russian Leg Sweep by Christian, 1-2-kickout. Sleeper by Christian, but DDP battles out. Cover by Christian, which DDP reverses into a cover, which DDP then chains into a Reverse Flapjack. Clothesline and Spinning Sit-Down Powerbomb by DDP. Backbreaker by Christian, 1-2-kickout. Christian holds the ropes as DDP goes for the Diamond Cutter. Roll-up by DDP, 1-2-kickout. Reverse DDT by Christian. Christian throws a temper tantrum, which was just a psyche-out so Christian could hit a rake to the eyes and the Unprettier for the 1-2-3!
Here is your winner- Christian
-Angle can't believe it. What was Vince thinking? Why don't they just elect Hillbilly Jim the President while they're at it? Angle sees Edge and wonders if he came to rub it in. Edge says no. He and Angle used to be good friends. He feels bad and shows Angle some pictures of them he found in his attic. Angle looks at the fronts and reminisces, but the backs have things written on them, pointing at Angle. They say "You Suck", "Yes, I really do suck", "And I'm a dork", and finally, "P.S. I have no testicles". High comedy. Angle thinks what a great guy Edge is as he walks off. Then he realizes the truth. (If only there was a "Kick me" sign on his back...I think they're saving that for a big feud)

Commercial break.

-Triple H comes out with his fancy schmancy new belt. Monday night Flair made a match between Triple H and Undertaker for Backlash. Now Vince is making an HHH vs. HHH (that's Hollywood Hulk Hogan...I know, I'm just so clever) match. The Dead Man must be pissed. He assures Taker that the title isn't going anywher. When he's done with Hogan, he's coming for Taker. As far as Hogan goes...Hogan comes out. He's in the red and yellow! Holy shit! Hogan is in the traditional red and yellow! Whoo! As far as Hogan goes, he was just as surprised as Triple H was when he heard the news. Hogan didn't think it could get bigger than Wrestlemania I, when he teamed up with Mr. T. He didn't think it could get bigger than Wrestlemania III, when Hogan beat Andre the Giant. He didn't think it could get bigger than Wrestlemania X-8, when the fans brought Hulkamania back. The fans surprised him. Hulkamania IS back. It doesn't get any bigger than the Undisputed title. If the fans believe in him and think he deserves the shot, he's going to take it. Hunter says it doesn't get any bigger than the title. It'll be an honor to be in the ring with Hogan. But there's a part of him that's sad, because he's going to have to hurt someone he's looked up to his whole life...and hurt him badly. He will not hesitate in the ring, not for one second. When he gets in the ring, Hogan isn't immortal, he's not an icon, he's an obstacle. And Triple H will run him down. That's not a threat or a warning. It's a fact. Nothing will come between Triple H and the title. Not even the immortal Hulk Hogan. Because he is the Game and he is that damn good. Hogan says that he may be right. But even when the experts say that Hulkamania is dead, it rises up again. When it rises up again at Backlash...WHATCHA GONNA DO? Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on YOU? Hogan rips his shirt and poses.

-Commercial break.

-We see clips from earlier, when Edge gives Angle the pictures.

Edge vs. Kurt Angle
-Edge comes out. Angle comes out next. Spinning heel kick by Edge. German suplex and vertical suplex by Angle, 1-2-kickout. Traded chops. Belly to belly by Angle. Edge counters the Angle Slam and hits a Facebuster. Edge-O-Matic, 1-2-kickout. Angle is tied up on the ropes, and Edge hits two spears. Kurt rolls out of the ring and puts a chair in the ring. Back body drop by Edge. Edge goes for a Spear, but Angle throws the chair in his face.
Here is your winner via Disqualification- Edge
-After the bell rings, Edge takes the chair from Angle, but Angle rolls out and runs off (more like briskly walks off, but you get the idea). -Billy Kidman comes to see Torrie. He has a Cruiserweight match against Tajiri tonight, and he knows that Torrie will be at Tajiri's side. He wants to wish her and Tajiri luck, despite all the history they have from WCW. Torrie thanks Billy for being such a class act and gives him a hug. Tajiri enters at this inopportune time and forces Torrie to give him a kiss for good luck. Tajiri needs more luck and gets another kiss. Tajiri takes Torrie off.

Commercial break.

Tajiri vs. Billy Kidman- Cruiserweight Title
-Tajiri and Torrie come out first. Kidman comes out next. Takedown by Tajiri. Hurricanrana by Tajiri. Headscissors takedown off the second rope by Kidman. Traded armdrags by Tajiri and Kidman. Kick to the outside by Kidman. Tajiri dives onto Kidman outside. Tajiri goes off the top rope, but Kidman dropkicks him in mid-air. Spinning heel kick by Tajiri, 1-2-kickout. Tajiri goes for the Tornado DDT, but Kidman reverses it and hits a spinebuster. Kidman misses the Shooting Star Press. Kick by Tajiri, 1-2-kickout. Tajiri goes for the Tarantula, but Kidman tosses Tajiri over the top. Tajri puts his belt in the ring. Tarantula! Torrie pulls the belt out. Tajiri looks for the belt, but Billy rolls him up for the 1-2-3!
Here is your winner and NEW Cruiserweight Champion- Billy Kidman
-After the match, Tajiri yells at Torrie in Japanese for taking his belt out of the ring.

-Vince is in mad about Maven losing the Hardcore title. He wants Bob Holly to teach Maven a lesson. Vince knows if Holly was a trainer in Tough Enough, Maven wouldn't have lasted a day. He wants Holly to make sure he doesn't last the rest of the night. Stacy then comes in. He tells her to call him Vince. She wants to offer her "services" as Executive Assistant. Vince drops a paper for the sole purpose of her picking it up so the camera gets a nice ass-shot. She loves the way he talks. He loves the way she walks. He offers her a seat, and they start talking.

Commercial break.

-D-Von Dudley comes into Vince's office, asking who he thinks he is, splitting up the best tag team because of his and Flair's games. D-Von rants for awhile and tells Vince to explain himself. Vince wanted the Dudleyz, but Flair knew that and picked Bubba. Vince had no choice but to pick who he thought was the better Dudley. He thought D-Von would be ready to climb the ladder. He tells D-Von to get the hell out. He's got high hopes for D-Von. He tells him to get out until he's ready to be a superstar.

-Al Snow psyches up Maven. He tells him that a year ago, Maven was a Tough Enough student. Now he's a 3-time Hardcore Champion. Al says last year, he would have had to get mugged by a bum to get the kind of beating he's going to get tonight (not exactly the St. Crispin's Day speech).

Commercial break.

-We see clips from last week's Smackdown! where Raven beat Maven for the Hardcore title.

Maven vs. Hardcore Holly
-Maven comes out. Harcore Holly comes out for his first match in quite a while. Spinning heel kick by Maven, 1-2-kickout. Shots by Holly. Kick to the gut to Maven while he was hung up on the ropes. Atomic drop and clothesline by Holly. Standing dropkick by Holly. Maven kicks Holly as he dives off the top rope, 1-2-kickout. Missile dropkick by Maven, 1-2-kickout. Alabama Slam by Holly, 1-2-3!
Here is your winner- Hardcore Holly
Commercial break.

Chris Jericho vs. the Rock
-Jericho comes out. Rock comes out next. They battle outside first. Jericho goes into the apron and over the barricade. Rock tosses Jericho back over the barricade. Jericho slingshots Rock into the post. In the ring, the match officially starts. Traded chops by Jericho and Rock. Spinning heel kick by Jericho, 1-2-kickout. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Rock gets to the ropes. Jericho goes up top, but Rock knocks him down and hits a Superplex. Clotheslines by Rock. Belly to belly and DDT by Rock, 1-2-kickout. Jericho accidently hits Tim White with a Flying Forearm. Rock hits a Spear and a Sharpshooter. Angle gets in the ring, but Rock knocks him owt. Scoop slam by Jericho. Jericho goes for the People's Elbow, but Rock flips up and hits a Spinebuster. Rock goes for the People's Elbow, but Angle hits a clothesline and an Angle Slam. Jericho covers, 1-2-kickout! Edge takes out Angle and battles him into the crowd. Jericho counters the Rock Bottom and hits a bulldog. Jericho misses the Lionsault, and Rock hits the Rock Bottom for the 1-2-3!
Here is your winner- The Rock
End Show.

Man of the Night- Hulk Hogan. He's got a title shot and he gave a killer promo with Triple H tonight, but that's not important. He's back in the RED AND YELLOW TIGHTS! WHOO!

Match of the Night- Kidman vs. Tajiri. Looks like we're going to be seeing some great, innovative cruiserweight matches on Smackdown! That's great, except for the fact that they're a bitch to transcribe. Ah well.

Quotation of the Night- "I can't believe he just said that!"- Tazz, after Tajiri ranted in Japanese.
