* Smackdown! came to us this week from Boston, MA on the Forth of July with two title matches, Tag Team and Undisputed Championship scheduled to take place! The show began with a re-cap of Jericho beating up on Edge, then Edge’s return from last week. Lillian Garcia gave a wonderful rendition of America the Beautiful which was rudely interrupted by the Canadian’s Lance Storm, Test, and Christian. They said they were sick of the America the beautiful crap and kicked Lillian out of the ring. Christian said today July the forth America celebrates Independence Day, but he has a question, do the people know why they are celebrating? He said considering the ignorance of America’s youth they probably think its the day Will Smith saved the world from aliens. Storm says that this is what really happened; America was founded as British colonies, and on July 4, 1776 America declared its independence and turned its back on Britain. He goes on to say ultimately America released its war like hostilities to the rest of the world, WWI, WWII, Korean War, he asks what right the us had to be in Korea and Vietnam. He says Vietnam is a touchy subject because the US was defeated. Storm says that the US doesn't like the truth and doesn't want to hear what the rest of the world has to say. Test says other countries think that America is the most hypocritical nation in the world, and the rest of the world hates America and that they hate America. Test says for their birthday take this, then all three say America sucks. Rikishi’s music sounds and he goes down to the ring.

* Lance Storm vs. Rikishi
Rikishi back body drops Storm. Rikishi throws Storm out of the ring. Tazz comments that if they (Team Canada - Storm, Test and Christian) don’t like America, they need to do what the slogan says, Get the F Out. Storm hits Rikishi from the floor. Rikishi throws storm down and flips him into the ring post. USA chants begin. Storm kicks Rikishi in the chin and covers for a 2 count. Rikishi knocks Storm down twice after whipping him into the ropes. Christian gets on the apron but Rikishi knocks him down. Test gets up too but, Rikishi knocks him down. Rikishi drags storm to the corner. Rikishi is about the jump down for the bonsai drop on Storm. Test interferes with a big boot I think, and Storm covers for the pin.

* Backstage the Undertaker walks around with a big black bag.

* A replay of John Cena’s big appearance on last weeks Smackdown! against Kurt Angle.

* Stacy knocks on Mark Henry’s door in search of John Cena. Cena comes out, Stacy says Vince wants to see him in his office now. They both go.

* Reverend D-Von and Deacon Bautista vs. Randy Orton and Big Valbowski
Val and the Deacon start us off. Val hits Bautista a few times, then kicks him in the back of the knee. Bautista clotheslines Val to the mat. D-Von gets tagged in. D-Von beats on Val and slams his face in the ring post. D-Von whips Val across the ring then Val boots D-Von in the face. Val slams D-Von and knees him in the sternum. Orton tags in. Orton vertical dropkicks D-Von and covers for a 2 count. D-Von uses a neck breaker on Orton off the second rope. D-Von slams Orton in the turnbuckle. D-Von tosses Orton down then whips him into the ropes, Orton boots D-Von in the face. Orton tags in Val. Val goes at it with D-von. Val takes D-Von down several times. Val hits D-Von with a spinning power bomb. Bautista breaks up the cover. Orton gets back in. Bautista slams Orton down, then goes shoulder first in to the ring post. Orton gets on the tope rope and jumps off, but Bautista moves. Bautista covers Orton for the win.

* Backstage Jericho is complaining to Vince about Edge coming back with his ring music and poses. Vince says that Jericho seems to be obsessed. Vince says Jericho will get Edge in a one on one match up at Vengeance. Cena knocks and comes in. Vince tells Cena how impressed he was by Cena last week. Vince asks where he is from, Cena says the Boston area. Vince introduces Cena to Jericho. Cena extends his hand but Jericho doesn’t shake his hand. He asks who the hell Cena thinks he is with his green tights and his hair. Cena slaps Jericho and he falls to the ground.

* During the break, Jericho says he does want Edge at Vengeance but he wants Cena tonight.

* In an Interview with Kurt Angle, the interviewer says tonight Angle has a match for the Undisputed Championship. Angle says he is the poster boy for ruthless aggression. He says last week it took him longer than it should have to beat Cena because he had the flu. But tonight he is going to beat the Undertaker and win the Undisputed Championship. Angle shows a highlight film where he makes Hogan tap at KoTR and when he put Taker in the Angle lock last week on Smackdown!. Angle asks what better night for the American Hero to win the Undisputed Championship than the Forth of July. He says that America doesn't need a tattooed bad ass representing them. Angle says they need him and that he isn’t cocky.

* Backstage Billy and Chuck are talking in the locker room. Billy says they are going to have a picnic. They eat some hot dogs. Rico comes in and asks what they are doing. Rico says they have a big match and don’t need to be filling up with hot dogs.

* Peoples Moment 1: January 17th, 2002, Rock goes on about how everyone thinks they are going to win the Royal Rumble.

* Edge and Hogan vs. Billy and Chuck for the Tag Team Championship
Hogan comes out with the music, Real American and with red, white, and blue feather boas and a big American flag. The crowd starts a Hogan chant at the beginning of the match. Hogan and Chuck start off the match. The two lock up in the middle of the ring. Chuck backs away from Hogan several times. He kicks Hogan down all of the sudden. Chuck goes at it with Hogan, slamming him on the mat. Chuck mocks Hogan while turned away. Hogan knocks Chuck down. Hogan elbows Chuck. Hogan boots Chuck in the face. Billy gets tagged in. Billy runs into Edge. Edge is tagged in. The two slam Billy down. Edge gets whipped into the ropes by Billy. Billy and Chuck go after Edge in the ring. Chuck gets tagged in legally. He rams edge into the ring post. Edge battles back with right hands to Chuck. Chuck slams Edge down and covers for a two count. Chuck slams Edges face into Billy's foot. Billy gets tagged in. Billy suplexes Edge, and covers him for a two count. Chuck gets tagged in. Chuck kicks Edge around. Chuck lifts Edge up and slams him down. Chuck goes for a pin but only gets a two count. Edge battles back but gets thrown out of the ring by Chuck. Edge gets kicked. Billy bulldogs edge on the steel steps. Chuck covers Edge for a two count. Billy kicks at Edge after getting tagged in. Billy buts Edge into a front head lock. Edges gets out of it. Billy rolls Edge into cover but only gets 2. Chuck gets tagged in. Edges slams Chucks face down. Both men lay on the mat. The ref begins to count, he gets to four I think. Edge makes the tag to Hogan. Hogan beats up Billy. Chuck gets in and kicks him down. Hogan slams Billy and Chucks heads together. Hogan boots Billy. Chuck gets in and boots Hogan in the chin. Billy covers Hogan for a two count. Hogan double clotheslines Billy and Chuck. Edge gets on the tope rope and jumps down. Edge double clothesline Billy and Chuck. Rico trips Edge from behind. Hogan beats on Rico outside the ring. Edge gets kicked by Billy. Billy gets speared by Edge and Edge covers but Chuck breaks it up. Hogan boots Billy. Edge leg drops on Billy, then Hogan does as well. Edge pins Billy for the win. Your new WWE Tag Team Champions are Hogan and Edge! The two celebrate in the ring by singing and waving flags.

* Chris Jericho vs. John Cena
Cena runs quickly to the ring. Jericho slaps Cena around. Jericho elbows Cena in the face. Cena takes Jericho down. Cena whips Jericho into the ropes, but Jericho gets out of the ring. Cena rolls Jericho back in. Cena sling Jericho into the ring posts. Cena goes for the cover but only gets 2. Jericho slams Cena down outside the ring. Jericho throws Cena on the announce table. Jericho throws Cena back into the ring. Jericho kicks Cena in the ribs twice. Jericho chokes Cena with the ring ropes. Then Jericho jumps on Cena. Jericho gets whipped into the turn buckle by Cena. Jericho gets dropkicked. Cena clotheslines Jericho. Jericho whips Cena in the rope Cena counters knocking him down. Cena goes for the pin but only gets a two count. Cena slams Jericho's face down. Cena gets whipped into the ropes but Cena counter by rolling Jericho up in to a pin for only a two count. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but Cena counters. Cena slams Jericho down and covers twice for a two count. Jericho slams Cena’s face down. Jericho goes for the Lion Sault but Cena moves. Cena goes for a cover but Jericho kicks out. Jericho hits Cena with the flashback. Jericho pins Cena using the ropes and picks up the win. Jericho extends his hand to Cena, Cena goes to shake Jericho’s hand but Jericho hits him. Cena then spinning body slammed Jericho.

* Peoples Moment 2: December 6th, 2001, the end of Vince's Kiss My Ass Club, Rock pushes Vince’s face Rikishi’s ass.

* Replay of Shawn Michael’s announcement that Triple H would be joining the NWO.

* A re-cap of The WWE’s Thong-a-thon last Saturday.

* Jamie Noble pulled up in his truck to a trailer park. He opened the door for Nidia and told her to open her eyes on the count of three. She was amazed by the trailer that Noble had bought for them. Noble says his aunt died and so he got the place for a steal. They go inside so the he could show her around. He shows her the running water and she is amazed. He says the best part, was the bedroom that has full-sized bed! Nidia pulls him onto the bed and asks if they can break it now. She then closes the door behind them.

* Torrie vs. Stacy Bra and Panties Match
Torrie slams Stacy’s face into the turn buckle. Torrie kicks Stacy out of the ring. Torrie gets out of the ring and slams Stacy’s face on the side of the ring. Stay throws Torrie back in the ring and kicks her around. Stacy swings at Torrie but she moves out of the way. Stacy gets sling shotted into the ring post. Torrie removes Stacy’s shirt. The two roll around on the mat. Torrie slaps Stacy. Stacy whips Torrie into the ropes and spin kicks Torrie. Torrie rolls up Stacy into a pin, sort of, and removes her shorts. Torrie wins. Torrie removes her clothes revealing her patriotic undergarments.

* A recap of Raw’s main event featuring Jeff Hardy vs. Undertaker for the Undisputed championship. They show clips of the match and then Taker patting Jeff on the head and raising his hand.

* In an Interview with Taker, Marc Lloyd asks why Taker is upset with Vince. Taker says he is mad because Vince said Taker could have the match with Rock regardless if he is the Undisputed Champion or not, implying that Vince doubted if Taker could win both matches he had this week. Taker says he was not looking past Jeff Hardy or Kurt Angle. Taker says Angle thinks he can represent as the Undisputed Champion better than he can. Taker asks Lloyd who he would rather have next to him in a fox hole in a war time scenario, a bad ass or a hero like Angle claims to be.

* People’s Moment 3: King of the Ring 2 weeks ago, Rock Rock-bottoming Taker and giving him the People’s Elbow.

* Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker for the WWE Undisputed Championship
An Angle sucks chant begins in the crowd. The two lock up in the middle of the ring until taker shoves Angle to the mat. Angle gets up. Taker puts Angle in a head lock. Angle gets out of the ring. Taker gets put in a side headlock byt Angle. Taker throws Angle down. Angle drops Taker to the mat by grabbing his leg. Taker runs towards Angle but Angle runs out of the ring. Taker gets whipped into the ropes by Angle and Angle knocks Taker down. Taker boots Angle in the face and Angle rolls out of the ring. The ref begins to count him out. Angle gets back in and takes down Taker. Taker clotheslines Angle and covers him fro a two count. Taker throws Angle into the turn buckle. Taker boots ANgle in the face again. Taker covers for a two count. Angle side suplexes Taker. ANgle goes for a cover and gets a two count. ANgle beats on Taker in the corner. ANgle gets Taker in a front head lock. Angle pushes Taker in the corner. Angle hits Taker a bunch of times.mTaker heaves Angle into the corner.Taker hits Angle. Ngle whips Taker into the ropes and knocks down Angle. Taker goes for a cover but Angle gets his shoulder up. Taker tries to slam Angle but Angle gets out of it. Taker gets ready for the Tombstone, Angle counters with the Angle lock. Angle slams Taker down with the Angle slam. Angle covers but Taker gets his foot on the ropes. Angle gets Taker in the Angle lock again. Taker kicks Angle away. Taker grabs Angle and choke slams him. Taker goes fro the cover but Angle gets his shoulder up. Taker signals for the Last Ride. Taker sets up for it but Angle counters with a triangle choke. Taker brings his hand to Angle throat and gets a choke of his own. Angle had his shoulders pinned down for a three count and Taker tapped at the same time. There is confusion as to who is the winner. Angle says he made Taker tap. Taker raises his hands in victory.

* Commercial Break

* Many refs are down in the ring discussing what the decision should be. One ref raises Angle’s hand, another raises Taker’s hand. After further discussion the original ref rules that the match ended in a draw, therefore Taker retains his title. Angle is upset and put Taker in the Angle lock before storming off as Smackdown comes to a close.
