Last Week: Angle reveals that his management is Paul Heyman and they extend the waiting period for Brock Lesnar's title match indefinitely.

* Stephanie McMahon comes out to the ring to kick off the show. Apparently she is here to tell us of a scuffle between Lesnar and Angle after Smackdown went off the air last week. She tells us that the Championship match can't happen tonight because of what Lesnar did. She says Angle cannot compete until at least the Royal Rumble. Later on we will see the footage of Lesnar's attack. With that said Big Show's music hits. Steph asks where Heyman is. Show says that he wants to talk to her. Steph asks why he couldn't wait. He said he didn't feel like waiting, since Angle can't compete until Rumble, he inquires why she didn't name him the number one contender at Rumble. She says that if he doesn't want to be suspended, he needs to back off of her. She said Heyman named him number one contender, not her, and Heyman does not run Smackdown, so Show must compete in a number one contender match against Chris Benoit. Show reminds us of his height and weight when Benoit comes out. Benoit grabs Steph's mic and gets up into Show's face, and says that Show has no idea what he is capable of. Benoit says that the only thing stopping him from breaking Show's neck is their match tonight. Show rambles about how he is a giant, and that Benoit would need to take him down to his size to beat him, and Show just doesn't see that happening. Benoit nails Show with a low blow.

* Bill Demott vs. Crash
Demott boots Crash in the face. Demott rams Crash into the steel ring post outside the ring. They get back in the ring and the match begins. Crash takes a few shots at Demott before being kicked in the face. Demott locks in an arm bar. Crash crawls to the ropes and Demott chokes him with them. Demott drops his elbow to the back of Crashes neck. Demott power bombs Crash then pulls him near a corner. Demott nails his moonsault and covers Crash for the win.

* Backstage Dawn Marie and All talk about their upcoming wedding. Then they exchange gifts. Al says he bought some Viagra. Then he opens her present its a video camera, how filthy! She says they can make movies of their honeymoon and watch it over and over.

* Matt was the MVP of the '99 No Mercy ladder match and he always sticks to his new years resolutions? Shannon Moore is with Matt and has a severe limp. Matt gets on the mic and says he has come here to talk about a problem destroying Smackdown, Brock Lesnar. Matt says he has footage of Lesnar ruining Smackdown. They run the clip of Brock destroying Matt and Shannon Moore with f-5's. Matt says the important thing is that Shannon didn't quit and he is here tonight. Matt says he should be proud that Brock may have beat him but he didn't break him. Matt says that Brock needs to be stopped and challenge him to a match next week on Smackdown. Matt asks Brock to bring everything he has because Mattitude has changed, then he beats on Shannon Moore.

* Paul Heyman and Angle, who is on crutches, are walking backstage. Heyman says Angle is amazing for still wanting to address the public in his condition.

* Los Guerreros vs. Edge and Billy Kidman for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Kidman an Chavo start off the match, they lock up in the center of the ring. Kidman delivers a hip toss to Chavo the kicks Eddie out of the ring. Kidman nails a leg scissors on Chavo. Chavo tries to fight Kidman, Eddie helps by taking him out of the ring. Chavo stomps Kidman and delivers a backbreaker. Eddie attempts a suplex but Kidman counters and tags in Edge. Edge t enaciously attacks Eddie and delivers a back body drop to him, followed by one to Chavo. Edge nails a face plant to Eddie. Chavo attempts a superplex, but Edge counters with a double missile drop kick. Eddie knocks Edge down from behind.. Eddie locks in the Lasso from El Paso and Kidman breaks it up. Edge nails a spear and covers Eddie but Chavo breaks up the count. Chavo throws Eddie out of the ring and grabs their belts and leave. The ref announces that if The Guerreros don't get back to the ring then they also loose their tag belts. The ref starts to count.
--Commercial Break--
The match is going on so one would assume that they made it before 10. Chavo is attacking Edge and has him in a rear chin lock. Edge battles out and knocks Chavo down. Guerrero is tagged in. He knocks Kidman off the apron. Chavo gets in the ring and Edge counters a suplex with a double face plant. Edge tags in Kidman and drop kicks both Guerreros. Kidman delivers a neck breaker to Chavo. Eddie nails a back suplex on Kidman then attempts a Frog Splash but nobody is home. Eddie lifts Edge over the top rope. Kidman nails a drop kick to Chavo. Kidman nails a shooting star press on Chavo and covers, but Eddie pulls the ref out. The bell rings. The ref announces that the match will restart as a no DQ match, since the Guerreros are trying to get DQed. Kidman knocks Chavo and Eddie of f the Apron. Kidman attempts a shooting star press but Eddie knocks him down. Chavo brings the belts in, Edge grabs it and knocks out Chavo. Kidman covers Chavo but Eddie breaks it up. Eddie knocks Eddie out of the ring. A-Train comes out and nails Edge with a back breaker. Eddie nails a frog splash on Kidman and covers him for the win.

* After Smackdown went off the air last week Brock is being beaten by Show and Angle. Heyman taunts him while Angle continues, Brock finally fight out with a burst of strength. Lesnar kicks Angle into the corner and chokes him with his foot. Lesnar catches Show in the top rope and whacks him upside the head with a chair. Brock jumps out of the ring and f-5's Angle right into the ring post. Angle screams about his knee. Brock starts up the ramp after Heyman. He pauses as ref comes out to help Angle. Trainers come out to help. Brock goes back to Angle and drops his knee on the guard rail. He walks away leaving Angle writhing in pain. They trainer and refs help Angle up the ramp.

* Heyman gets on the mic and bitches about what Stephanie did tonight, taking away Show's title shot and allowing Brock to get away with attacking Angle. Heyman introduces Angle. Angle comes out with a really long knee brace on crutches. Angle gimps up the step and gets on the mic. Angle syas that it may be imoressive that Brock won his championship in the first year, but he did it with Heyman. Angle said he has done all that Brock has on is own. Angle says that Brock will never be an Olympic gold medallist. The crowd chants "You Suck." Angle says that Brock is a jealous. Angle says that Brock is crazy for attacking him since all he did was get an agent. He says that Michael Jordan has an agent but you don't see Kobe Bryant attacking him. Angle says Brock will never be that Champion that he is, that's why Brock tore up his knee. Angle says despite what Brock did, he is still standing and he will defend his title at Rumble, but against Benoit or Show, not him... ever! Angle says if Brock ever messes with him again he will take him down like the punk that he is. Heyman starts talk. He says that he has yet another contingency plan, this one is called Team Angle. Angle's music hits and to guys in wrestling outfits like Angle's. Heyman says that Angle is now the captain of his own team, team Angle. Heyman introduces the first guy, Charlie Haas, who will be crafted in Angle's own image. Heyman introduces the o ther guy, Brock Lesnar's former roommate at Minnesota, and they only man to every pin him, Shelton Benjamin. Angle says that this is a great present. Angle says that these guys have respect unlike Lesnar. Angle says that just like they learned in college, wrestling is a game of human chess, Angle says "Check Mate!"

* B2 vs. Rikishi
John Cena is a special announcer. B2 beats Rikishi around while Cena talks in his street rap. Cena assists b2 when they are outside the ring. Cena throws the chair to B2. rikishi grabs it and knocks down B2. Rikishi drops on B2 from the second rope and stays for the pin fall. Cena is angry.

* Funaki is interviewing Torrie about the wedding. Torrie says she can't believe that Al is still going through with this. Funaki asks her to comment about her saying that Al broke her heart. Al comes up and says he is angry with her. He says she never considers what he wants, its always about Torrie. He says a strong father and daughter relationship runs on a two way street. Al says that next week he is going to marry Dawn and within a week after that they will plan a family. He says he wants another child that he hopes won't be a disgrace like her.

* The Guerreros are congratulating themselves when they see Cena and B2. Eddie starts talking in Spanish and Cena is talking in his rapper street talk. The Guerreros say they don't want to turn this into an East coast/ West coast thing, they don't want to be a rap statistics. Eddie tries talking in a rap voice making fun of Cena's hometown. Good stuff this is.

* Benoit is interviewed about his match. Benoit says that tonight he will beat Show for the number one contender and at Rumble he will beat Angle for the championship, the championship he has worked so hard for, and sacrificed for ( he almost sounds like an angry Irishman as he says this.) Benoit says he has always believed he is better than Angle.

* Angle is talking to Show. Angle says he wishes he could go out there with him, but at least he will be their in person. Angle says he would much rather face a real champion at the Rumble.

* Chris Benoit vs. Big Show for the Number One Contender slot for the WWE Championship
Benoit attacks immediately. Show takes over and chops at Benoit with his massive hands. Show lifts Benoit and tosses him across the ring. Benoit is kicked in the face. Show continues to man handle Benoit. Show lifts Benoit high over his head and drops him behind. Show delivers a stiff kick to the ribs of Benoit. Benoit finally finds a chance to get into the match but his attack is thwarted by Show. Show removes the covering off the turn buckle. Show whips Benoit into the turnbuckle but Benoit slide out of the ring. Benoit get in the ring and lures Show into a trap. Benoit assaults Show and takes him down to the mat. Benoit delivers a German suplex to Show. Benoit signals that the end is near. Benoit goes up to the top rope and nails the head butt. Benoit sends Show into the exposed turnbuckle. Show attempts a choke slam but Benoit counters and rolls on top of Show for the pin fall! Show is furious. Show attempts another choke slam, but Benoit counters with the cross face. Team Angle comes running out to aid Show. Benjamin jumps on top of Benoit from the top rope. Haas locks in a nasty looking submission to Benoit. Show raises Benoit and delivers a hug choke slam. Team Angle grabs Benoit and drags him out to the ramp. Angle comes down and taunts Benoit saying Benoit doesn't stand a chance. Angle plants his crutch right into Benoit's neck. He continues to taunt Benoit as Smackdown! goes off the air.
