* To kick off Smackdown, Vince McMahon comes down to the ring. He grabs a mic and says that he has some bad news for fans. He says that it is alright, though, since he also has some good news also. He informs us that the bad news is that the Rock is not attending Smackdown tonight because he has earned the right to go to whatever show he wishes. Vince says that as we have seen on Monday, he has chosen to move to Raw. Vince then remind us of the good news. He says that Hogan will not be here tonight, either. Vince says he is disappointed in Hogan for using a flimsy excuse to not appear tonight. Hogan claimed that he had a family emergency which involved his son, Nick. Vince says that there is only one honest reason that Hogan isn't here. He says that Hogan is a coward and that he is afraid of Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Vince says that this all started a month ago when Hogan challenged him to a match. Then he says that Hogan shouldn't screw with him. He says that Vince will screw with you and he sure did screw him, at No Way Out. Vince says he is proud of what he did. He recounts the deed that took place at No Way Out. He goes on to say that tonight, WWE will break tradition and they will play the clip of exactly what happened at No Way Out. He says that tonight it is official, Hulkamania is dead. Then he says not to worry because their is a new mania in WWE to replace it, He says that new mania, McMahon-a-mania, is now runnin' wild!

* Funaki and Torrie vs. Jamie Noble and Nidia
Something happened to my TV during this match, so I wasn't able to see it. But by reading the spoilers, Dawn Marie came down to attack Torrie Wilson, but her move backfired and Torrie ended up pinning Nidia for the win.

* Steph comes down to the ring to deliver a big announcement. She gets on the mic and says that the information she has is only for mature audiences. She refers back to Hugh Heffner's statement about a WWE diva being in Playboy. She says that their will be a full nude pictorial. She then asks the fans to congratulate her...for closing the deal. Then she says that diva that will be in Playboy is Torrie Wilson.

* Torrie finds Steph backstage and asks her if the Playboy thing is true. She confirms that and says that she will also be in the girls gone wild PPV. Brian Kendrick runs up to Steph and says the he is sorry for streaking and really wants a job with WWE. He says he wants it bad enough to challenge Kurt Angle. Steph laughs at him. He says he is serious. She says if her can last 5 minutes in a match with Angle than he has a job. Kendrick is overjoyed.

* Eddie Guerrero w/ Chavo vs. Nunzio w/ FBI (Full Blooded Italians)
Eddie applies a side headlock, Nunzio fights out, Eddie covers for 2. Eddie drop kicks Nunzio in the face. Nunzio drop toes holds Eddie into a turnbuckle. Nunzio kicks Guerrero into the corner. Eddie grabs Nunzio and pummels his face. Chavo and Johnny the Bull have a small confrontation outside the ring.. Nunzio chokes with ropes. Nunzio covers for 2. Nunzio attempts a suplex but Eddie counters with a tilt o whirl into a back breaker. Eddie lands a huge upper cut before receiving a stiff kick to the face. Eddie nails a suplex and covers for 2. Eddie goes to the top rope and goes for a frog splash.. Nunzio rolls out of the way. Eddie rolls up Nunzio and win via pin fall. Johnny the Bull attacks after the match. Rikishi comes out to his aid and clears the ring.

* Backstage Heyman comes into Stephanie's office. She says she wanted to talk to him about Team Angle's match tonight. She says she didn't appreciate what Angle pulled last week in naming his own stipulation. Steph says that next week Brock will face an oppon ent from team Angle of his choice to face in a steel cage match. Heyman says Brock will choose Angle and its right before Wrestlemania. Steph says that life isn't fair.

* Cole says that there is speculation that Team Angle set up the attack on Edge at No Way Out. They say he will be out for a while.

* Benoit tells Brock that Angle might seem like an idiot but he is a calculating cruel bastard and will do anything to keep his title. Benoit blames what happened to Edge on Team Angle. He says that neck surgery isn't something any one wants to go through. Benoit tells him to make sure he beats Haas and Benjamin. Brock assures him that he will and inquires about if he is concerned about being a target of Team Angle. Benoit says he is counting on that, and that Angle isn't the only one with friends. Benoit opens a door and asks the person inside if he is ready. The mystery partner responds affirmatively.

* Matt Hardy and Shannon Moore vs. Chris Benoit and Mystery Partner
Matt's pants are size 34 in the waste and Matt thinks sweet potatoes are delicious. They show an interview with Hardy where he wishes Edge the best recovery possible. Then Matt says if Edge was a matt-itude follower he probably wouldn't have suffered such an unfortunate twist of fate. Benoit's partner comes out and we learn that it is none other than Rhyno. Rhyno attacks Hardy and Moore immediately. He tags in Benoit, Benoit nails Moore with a clothesline. Benoit suplexes Moore and hits Matt in the face with an elbow. Moore and Hardy stomp on Benoit in the corner. Matt whips Benoit into the corner. Matt nails the side effect and covers for 2. Benoit receives an elbow to the face courtesy of Matt Hardy. Hardy tags in Moore. Moore covers Benoit for 2. The crowd begins a Rhyno chant. Moore applies a rear chin lock. Moore beats on the back of Benoit's head. Benoit is double teamed by Matt and Moore. Matt gets suplexed by Benoit, Benoit tags in Rhyno. Rhyno delivers a back drop to Moore, then plants Matt hardy and covers for 2. Rhyno nails a running power slam on Moore. Benoit nails the head butt.. Rhyno gores Matt Hardy and covers for the win.

* They replay parts of the interview with Nathan Jones.

* Backstage, Taker is mounting his bike to come down to the ring.

* Taker comes out to the ring and says there is a rumor that A-Train is trying to get his attention. Taker says that he got his attention on Sunday but now he must face the consequence of his actions. Taker says that means shut up and fight. The train bell rings in the distance, A-Train and Heyman w/ a mic emerge. Heyman says that Taker used an illegal choke hold at N.W.O. Heyman says he is now the exclusive agent of AT, just like he is with Angle, Haas, Benjamin, and Big Show. After saying that Show's music hits.. Show and AT go to the ring and beat up Taker. Taker tries to fend them off but Show nails a choke slam. AT drags Taker over to the ropes. AT drops on Taker from the second rope. Show delivers a back elbow to Taker's face. Show gets a chair but Nathan Jones comes out and clears the ring with some martial arts type deal kicks. Taker and Jones talk civilly in the ring.

* The attack on Cena is replayed. Cena is shown rapping about watching Lesnar on his computer. Cena says he is a virus and will kill him the next time he faces him. He says that Lesnar is all bark and bite. He makes a hilarious comment about he rocks PS2 and Lesnar can't figure out Atari. He then closes by saying if Lesnar's finisher is the F-5 than his is the F-YOU.

* Brian Kendrick vs. Kurt Angle
The announcer is introducing Kendrick and must ask him for all of his information. Angle comes out and laughs at Kendrick. Kendrick extends his hand, Angle walks away. Angle disrobes and raises his belt. The clock in the corner ticks down. Angle gets down on his knees, Kendrick attempts to wrestle him. Angle laughs. Angle flips Kendrick around and slaps him the head a few times.. Angle taunts Kendrick with his hands behind his back. Angle gets on his knee again an closes his eyes. Kendrick is terrified. Kendrick nails Angle in the side of the head. Kendrick explodes on Angle. Angle hits a belly to belly and starts stomping on Kendrick. 2:45. Angle slaps Kendrick out of the ring. Angle rams him into the barricades. 2:20, Angle applies the ankle lock, then releases it. Angle clotheslines Kendrick. 2:00. Angle raises Kendrick for the Angle slam but instead of hitting it, puts him down instead. 1:27 Kurt tells him that Kendrick won't make it. 1:12 Kendrick rams Angle face first into his knee. Kendrick nails Angle with a shot to the back of the head. Kendrick sends Angle into the ring post. :45 Angle clotheslines Kendrick. 37: Angle stalks Kendrick while watching the clock. :18 Kendrick punches Angle. Angle raises Kendrick and nails the Angle slam and covers for the pin fall at :02. Kendrick is extremely disappointed. Angle says the Team Angle didn't not participate in the demise of Edge at NWO. Angle talks to Kendrick. Angle says that he has guts, but he won't make it in this business. Angle raises Kendrick's hand and tells the audience to applaud for him. Angle says that this one is for you, the attacks Kendrick. Angle sends Kendrick flying into the steel steps. Angle takes Kendrick back in the ring and delivers and F-5.

* Sylvain Grenier, Vince's personally selected referee for the Hogan/ Rock match at NWO comes out. He talks in French. The audience boos him. He then talks in English and says Vince wanted him to introduce once of his greatest achievements in WWE. Grenier says for the first time on broadcast TV, McMahon would like to present a clip from NWO. They show Hogan hitting Rock with the leg drop. Hogan covers and the lights go out completely. When they come back on the referee is down and a chair is in the ring. Vince comes out and shrugs. Hogan is turned the ref passes the chair to Rock. Rock clocks Hogan with the chair. Rock nails the rock bottom and covers. The ref makes a miraculous recover and counts the pin for the victory.

* After NWO Hogan finds Steph and says for her to tell Vince that that when he finds him he will kill him. Steph looks pissed.

* Backstage Heyman gives a pep talk to Team Angle. Heyman says that Angle can't do it alone. He needs the aid of Team Angle, the agent, and the tag champions. He says Lesnar wants to destroy that. Heyman asks if they are going to let that happen. They say it wont.

* Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas vs. Brock Lesnar
Haas starts the match off. The two lock up, Lesnar sends Haas flying into the corner. Haas beats on the back of Lesnar's head. Lesnar rams his shoulder in the gut of Haas. Lesnar sends Haas to the other side of the ring. Lesnar stomps on him in the corner. Lesnar delivers a back breaker, then a table top suplex. Lesnar knees Haas in the gut. Benjamin tags in. Lesnar delivers an over head suplex. Lesnar pounds on Benjamin by the ropes. Lesnar picks Benjamin up and drives him into the corner. Benjamin knees Lesnar in the face. Haas clotheslines Lesnar out of the ring. Heyman takes a cheap shot on Lesnar. Lesnar is rolled back in. Benjamin keeps on stomping Lesnar. Lesnar pushes him to the mat. Lesnar clubs Benjamin in the back of the head. Angle trips Lesnar from outside the ring. Lesnar chases Angle. Lesnar grabs Angle but Benjamin hits him with a baseball slide. Heyman picks up a chair and nails Lesnar in the back with it. Benjamin covers Lesnar, Lesnar kicks out. Haas is tagged in. Haas suplexes Lesnar and covers for 2. Haas applies a rear chin lock. Lesnar rises to his feet with Haas still on his back. Lesnar gets to the second rope and suplexes Haas to the mat. Benjamin jumps in the match but Lesnar explodes on him. Lesnar sends Haas flying into Benjamin. Lesnar German suplexes Haas then Benjamin. Lesnar knocks both men down again. He lifts Haas up fro the F-5. Benjamin saves him. Lesnar F-5's Benjamin and covers for the win. Kurt retreats. Lesnar goes out of the ring and lifts Heyman for the F-5. Angle takes Lesnar down at the knees. Kurt and Heyman run up the ramp arguing with each other. Lesnar twirls around Heyman's hat and gets on the mic. Brock brags about beating Team Angle. Lesnar says he is set up for next week. He says he can pick any member of Team Angle to wrestle him in a steel cage next week. Brock says that at Wrestlemania it's him and Kurt, but next week, the member he chooses to wrestle in the steel cage match is Paul Heyman! Heyman stands frozen in shock.
