WWE RAW Report
Aired LIVE! From Dayton, OH
June 14, 2004
Reported by: The Worm, rajah.com RAW reporter

Welcome to another edition of the RAW report. We're 15 minutes away from the aftermath of Bad Blood, so be sure to check it out and see what is in store for the superstars tonight. Just be sure to keep this open and refresh it every few minutes to get the latest updates.

I'm running on a wireless internet connection, so if it seems like it's taking forever for a new match to be posted, it's because my connection went out. If that happens, I'll post the results after the show is over. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience that it may cause.

Backstage Action:

RAW opens with Bischoff in his office. A knock on the door is heard and Kane enters the room. Bischoff wanted to see Kane. Bischoff compliments Kane on his effort last night, but he had to name a new #1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship. Above all else, Kane is a professional. Bischoff is shaking in his boots the entire time. Kane is not pleased with the news as he picks up various objects and tosses them around the room, breaking some of them.

JR Promo:

We see JR in the ring and he addresses the Hell in the Cell "classic" between HBK and Triple H. Later tonight, we will see exclusive footage that words can not describe. Both HBK and Triple H are here tonight and JR asks that both of them come down to the ring so that we can show appreciation for what they've gone through last night and hopefully bring closure to this storied rivalry.

HBK comes out first and he walks down to the ring, with a bandaged head and a taped up right hand. The crowd doesn't seem to pop very loudly, but HBK chants are heard throughout the arena. HBK gazes around the arena before Triple H's music hits. Triple H is also sporting a bandaged forehead, but he also has a bandaged nose and a limp in his step. The crowd is eerily silent as he makes his way down to the ring. Triple H removes his shades to reveal a blackened left eye. The King comments that he doesn't want to see them go at it again tonight.

JR speaks and hopes that they'll keep their hands off each other while this promo is given. JR says it's time for their feud to end and the crowd boos. JR is respectfully asking both of them to shake hands to officially signify the end of their rivalry. He wants them both to get on with their lives. JR backs off a little bit and HBK chants begin to sound.

HBK hesitantly extends his hand, and HHH considers shaking it, but before he can do so, Bischoff interrupts them and comes down to the ring. He has an important announcement regarding the new #1 contender.

Before he can say another word, Kane's pyro is set off and the Big Red Machine makes his way down to the ring. The three men stare each other down and Kane delivers a Big Boot to HBK. He rolls out of the ring and now he's staring down Triple H. The King goads Triple H into attacking Kane, but Triple H doesn't want a part of him. He gets out of the ring, but Kane follows him out. Kane kicks HBK again and then reaches underneath the ring to pull out a steel chair. He throws it into the ring and tosses some of the ring crew out of the way. He throws HBK back into the ring and puts the head of the chair around HBK's neck.

Kane goes up top and stomps on the chair in attempt to break his neck. Refs try to break the situation up, but Kane scares them away. HBK is bloodied and Kane laughs in triumph. Kane finally leaves the ring and the refs attend to HBK. They signal for the paramedics and HBK needs to relax in order for them to help him. Kane is still smiling as he backs up the ramp and things aren't looking too great for HBK as we go to commercial.

Back on RAW, officials are still tending to HBK and it sounds like he's having a hard time breathing. The crowd cheers as they get him out of the ring. The announcers recap what happened moments ago and the officials cart HBK out of the arena and into some medical care. They get him put into a waiting ambulance as we go to another commercial.

The WWE Cool Color of the Night recaps the fatal four way for the Women's title where Trish becomes the new WWE Women's Champion after rolling up Lita.

Match #1 (Tag) - Trish Stratus & Tyson Tomko vs. Matt Hardy Version 1.0 & Lita:

Matt Facts: Matt & Lita are not morning people; Matt & Lita enjoy margaritas

Trish & Lita kick things off for this match. They lock up and Trish locks on a side headlock. Trish takes Lita down and Lita tries to fight out of it. Lita manages to lock on a headscissors and both women are up. Trish kicks Lita in the gut and works her over with forearms. Lita fires back with rights. Trish whips Lita, but Lita kicks Trish in the chest. Lita clotheslines Trish and she goes for the pin, but Trish kicks out.

Tomko rams Matt into a corner and works him over with punches. Tyson whips Matt into the opposite end, but Matt kicks out. Matt goes up top and connects with a flying crossbody, but it looks as if Tomko botched the spot as he caught Matt and then fell into the ropes with him.

Tomko is in control as he locks in a rear chinlock. Matt tries to fight out of it, but Tyson punches him. Matt comes back with a flying forearm and he then tries for a Side Effect, but Tyson goes for a running body slam, but Matt counters that into a DDT. The women are tagged in and Lita connects with a vertical suplex. Lita follows it up with a Russian Leg Sweep, but Trish kicks out of the pinning attempt that followed. Lita hits an enziguiri and goes for the pin, but Tomko breaks it up. Matt manages to throw Tomko out of the ring and connects with a plancha. Trish hits Lita with forearms and chops. She tries for the Stratusfaction, but Lita blocks it and connects with her patented DDT to win the match.

Winner: Lita & Matt Hardy Version 1.0

Featured on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel later tonight will be none other than the amazing Eugene!

Commercial Break

Backstage Action:

Bischoff is in his office and he looks over the destruction caused by Kane. Triple H comes in and he asks about his #1 contender spot. Bischoff says there's a yes and no. Even though Triple H beat HBK, it's not quite so simple. There is someone he hasn't beat, who's undefeated, and that happens to be Eugene. That #1 contender spot belongs to Triple H, but only if he can defeat Eugene next week. Bischoff wants Triple H to beat the holy hell out of Eugene.

In the crowd, we see the original Joe Schmo, Matt. The Grish interviews him and he plugs the upcoming Joe Schmo 2. We then get to see a preview of the upcoming show. Ralph Garman returns as the host of the new show, but this time he'll be a pompous, bleached-blonde, British host of a show called "Last Chance For Love".

Still to come, we'll get to see footage from the Hell in the Cell match from last night as we go to commercial.

Match #2 (Flag Day Tag Flag Match, Non-Title) - La Resistance vs. The Hurricane & Rosey:

The Quebec flag and the US flag are hanging high above the ring and this appears to be a glorified singles match. The winner will have their country's flag raised and their national anthem played.

Rosey and Grenier start things off. They lock up and Grenier is whipped. Rosey hits a shoulder block and goes for a pin, but grenier kicks out. Hurricane is tagged in and he is in control of Grenier. Grenier goes to hit a clothesline, but Hurricane grabs the ropes and assumes the superhero pose.

Grenier takes down Hurricane and goes for a pin, but the Hurricane kicks out. Conway is tagged in and Rosey tries to get involved, but the ref stops him. Conway hits a vertical suplex and the Hurricane kicks out of the ensuing pin attempt. Conway locks in a rear chinlock and he works his way up to fight out. The two exchange blows and Conway is back in control. Conway whips Hurricane into the corner, but Hurricane elbows out. Somehow, the two men are down and are struggling to make it back to their corners. The partners are tagged in and Rosey whips Grenier. Grenier kicks Rosey in the chest, but Rosey comes back with his spinning leg drop. Rosey goes for the pin, but Conway breaks it up. Hurricane comes in and takes out Conway. On the outside, Hurricane goes for the Eye, but Conway counters it and shoves Hurricane into the ringpost.

The end comes when Grenier pins Rosey, but Conway holds his feet down so he can't kick out.

Winner: La Resistance

Post-match, La Resistance proceed to butcher the hell out of the Canadian anthem. The crowd boos them the entire time, and I don't blame them. I've heard better music coming out of an air conditioner.

A plug of the RAW Diva Search is shown after La Resistance proceed up the ramp to the backstage area.

Up next will be the Highlight Reel as we go to commercial.

The WWE Rewind recaps the match between Jericho and Tyson Tomko last night that sees Jericho winning in the end.

I missed a Lita segment here because my mom just got home and I had to get groceries out of her Jeep Liberty.

Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel:

Y2J chants break out and welcome to RAW is Jericho! Tonight's guest is the unbelievable Eugene!

Eugene makes his way out to the ring with William Regal and as he takes the stick, he is holding it upside down. Jericho tells Eugene that he is a sexy beast, and Eugene becomes embarassed. Jericho isn't sure if he is a Y2J fan, but Eugene nods that he is. Jericho asks for his favorite Y2J moment, and it is when Y2J peed into Regal's tea and then Regal drank it. Eugene did the same thing last week. Eugene chants break out and Eugene waves at the crowd.

Jericho apologizes to Regal and Jericho wants to tell Eugene something serious. Jericho tells Eugene about his match next week with Triple H. Eugene comments that Triple H is his favorite wrestler. Eugene may like Triple H, but Triple H doesn't like him. Jericho says that the only reason Bischoff made the match is because Bischoff wants his career to end. Just then, Evolution's music hits and all four members make their way down to the ring. Orton has a gift for Eugene.

Eugene looks to be excited to be seeing his favorite wrestler entering the same ring as him. Triple H takes the stick and even though they've never been formally introduced, they shake hands. Triple H introduces himself (well, Eugene already knew that) and the rest of Evolution. Triple H says that Evolution are his friends. He says Jericho is a liar. Triple H really is Eugene's friend. He's bigger than everybody in the WWE. That's why he brought Eugene a present.

Triple H tells Eugene to open it up and inside he finds all sorts of Triple H gear including a shirt and a hat. Eugene puts the shirt on over his coat. He also finds a picture and Triple H agrees to autograph it for him. Triple H reads what he wrote on the picture for Eugene. He also finds an Evolution shirt. It's not for Eugene, because Triple H was hoping that Eugene would autograph that shirt for him.

He tells Eugene to sign it on the naked girl's butt and Triple H says thanks. Triple H wants one more thing...a picture of him and Eugene. Triple H calls for a cameraman and on 3, he's going to say Pedigree. 1, 2, 3! Eugene says Pedigree and Triple H says thanks. Triple H wants to explain something now. He explains that people tell lies when they're jealous. Jericho told him lies and he wants Eugene to promise him something. When anyone lies about Triple H, he wants Eugene to come and tell him so that he can deal with them personally. Eugene agrees to do so and he reminds that next week, there will be a match between Triple H and Eugene.

Eugene and Regal leave without incident, but Jericho is left in the ring. If Jericho was smart, he'd leave now. Jericho congratulates Triple H on pulling one over on Eugene, but he's not fooling anyone. Jericho says that Eugene will beat him next week 1, 2, 3. Triple H tells his cohorts to back off, and he and his partners later tonight will be getting what's coming to them.

Backstage Action:

Stacy is in the locker room looking for Lita. Stacy wants to borrow her elbow pads for her match later tonight. Lita is very worked up and she wants to trust Stacy with something. Lita took one of those pregnancy tests and she reveals that she is pregnant. Stacy is very excited, but Lita doesn't want her to tell anyone yet. Lita will tell Matt later tonight at the hotel as we go to commercial.

Match #3 (Tag) - Stacy Keibler & Nidia vs. Molly Holly & Gail Kim:

My favorite diva is in action tonight as she paired with Gail Kim. I can only hope that the latter team will win, but I hope that this time around Molly won't let her bald head keep her from winning it.

Nidia kicks Gail Kim in the gut followed by a couple of arm drags. Nidia hits a back drop followed by a drop kick on Gail and Molly is tagged in. They lock up and Molly wrenches Nidia's arm. Nidia does an acrobatic arm wrench as she wraps around Molly. Molly hits a drop toe hold and goes for a pin, but Nidia kicks out.

Molly is distracted by Stacy, which allows Nidia to kick Molly in the gut. Stacy is tagged in and she kicks Molly, followed by a ram into the turnbuckle. She chokes Molly out with her long legs and she goes to whip Molly, but Molly reverses. Stacy tries to jump over, but Molly tosses her out onto the apron. Stacy counters, but Gail pulls her off of the apron. Molly throws her back in and slams her head onto the canvas. She begins to rip at the face of Stacy in a camel-clutch manuever. Molly goes for the pin, but Stacy kicks out. Molly puts Stacy into a sleeper (looks like the beginning of a suplex). Stacy manages to tag in Nidia, but the ref doesn't see it.

Molly tags in Gail and they double team Stacy. Gail taunts Stacy, and they exchange slaps. Gail puts Stacy into a leg submission followed by an elevated reverse figure four. Gail tags in Molly and she hits a couple of elbow drops. Molly chokes Stacy on the ropes with her leg and then Gail manages to get in a cheap shot.

Molly whips Stacy and they take each other out with a clothesline. Molly tags in Gail , and she elbows Nidia off the apron to prevent the tag. Gail locks in a unique submission hold on Stacy and she forces her to tap out.

Winner: Gail Kim and Molly Holly

Good to see that Molly's wig was not ripped off and they looked pretty good out there tonight. Now only if we can wean Molly off of her wig, then she could be back into some serious business.

The Smackdown Rebound recaps the results of John Cena's Triple Play Challenge. We then get to see Eddie take JBL for a ride in his own limo and the aftermath that followed when Eddie returned to the arena. After that, we get to witness the Undertaker joining Heyman's forces.

The signal cuts out for a brief second and up next, we will see the exclusive footage of last night's Hell in the Cell match as we go to commercial.

We see a shot of the Nutter Center and the announcers show us the footage from the Hell in the Cell match. The two men went through long and hard-fought match, but at the end, Triple H emerged victorious. Too bad we didn't get to see any top of the cage action. Now that would have been cool.

The announcers then recap Bischoff telling Kane that he is not the #1 contender to the title. Kane proceeds to destroy Bischoff's office and then later on, he then attacks Shawn Michaels. The announcers then update us on HBK's condition as we go to commercial, up next will be the Six Man Elimination Match.

END OF SHOW

I'll see you guys in two weeks as all next week, I will be vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee with my family. Now, it's time for my hands to get a well deserved rest as the last thing I want is carpal tunnel.
