In-Ring Segment:
John Cena comes out to address the attack on him and RVD last week at the hands of the Undertaker. He says he respects Taker but he's not about to let what happen go without ramifications. Kurt Angle and Luther Rains come out to big heat. Angle gives Cena what he wants and puts him in a match with Taker for tonight's main event.
Cruiserweight Battle Royal- #1 Contender for Title
Shannon Moore Vs Spike Dudley Vs Paul London Vs Nunzio Vs Funaki Vs Jamie Noble Vs Chavo Guerrero Vs Billy Kidman Vs Scotty Too Hotty- London was somewhat over. Kidman was a workhorse during the match. Finish came with Chavo turning on Noble and then eliminating Kidman.
Winner: Chavo Guerrero
Backstage:
Mordecia reappears like he hasn't been gone the last couple of weeks or some crap like that to beat up Baldcore Holly. Kind of a lame beating.
Billy Gunn Vs Kenzo Sezuki- This was boring as hell. Kenzo is nothing more than a chop fest and rest hold bitch. Finish came when that slut in kabuki gear through powder in Gunn's and Little Nat's faces.
Winner: Billy Gunn Via DQ
Backstage:
Torrie Wilson is shown in her Uncle Sam outfit. Sable appears to tell Torrie her outfit makes her look fat. Torrie tells Sable that her outfit makes her look easy. If you ask me, they both looked like tramps. Catfight ensues.
RVD Vs Rene Dupree- Decent little outing. Dupree seemed a little reminiscent of Ric Flair during the match with working the crowd. Finish came after RVD hit his head on the exposed turnbuckle, allowing Dupree to roll him up.
Winner: Rene Dupree
Eddie Guerrero Vs Luther Rains- Luther is a pretty big guy. He reminds of a slightly less muscular Brock Lesnar. Too bad he looks like a jackass in the face, otherwise he'd have a decent look. Anyway, it was a decent match. The ref took a bump, causing Angle to get involved; despite being on one leg. He handed Luther the WWE Title to take out Eddie but obviously that wasn't the case. Eddie ducked and went low on Luther. He then tossed the WWE Title to Angle and then faked like the GM hit him as the ref was coming to. Frogsplash gives Eddie the 1-2-3. Bradshaw comes out to attack Eddie with a bullrope. Eddie fights him off while I try to get a Nazi chant started. I smell a new champion come this Sunday.
Winner: Eddie Guerrero
John Cena Vs The Undertaker- Long match. Better outing then their PPV match last Summer. The crowd was 50/50 for both guys. Mainly all right hooks were thrown between the two. Taker takes a nasty shot into the stairs, causing his arm to get cut. Ref takes a bumb. Cena hits the F-U for the would-be victory but alas. Taker is back up. Cena goes on the offense and shows no signs of letting up, leaving Taker to use Cena's chain against him. Tombstone finishes off the lifeless Cena.
Winner: Undertaker
Overall, it was an improvement over recent weeks when put into perspective. Cena and Taker was decent enough.
