The Worm's Great American Bash Predictions

Since I was unable to do the RAW report, I couldn't offer my GAB predictions, so I figured now would be as good a time as any. I'm still in Tennessee enjoying what is left of my vacation, but I am thankful that I will be heading home tomorrow as it rained here all week. The only time it didn't was last weekend when I had first arrived. Good thing Wizard Will covered for me on the RAW report last Monday, as even if I was able to do it, I ended up losing power where I was staying and it didn't come back on until around 10:30 PM. Thank you very much for the help, Will!

I should mention that Gatlinburg, Tennessee is a great vacation spot. Not only do you get to see miraculous views of the Smoky Mountains, but there are tons of shops and other sights to see. If you're ever in the area, be sure to check out Cades Cove, Clingman's Dome (the highest point in the state), the many arts & craft shops in the Glades of Gatlinburg, and maybe even Dollywood which is located in nearby Pigeon Forge. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll get to see a few bears (I've only seen them for the first time last year, even though I've been going to Gatlinburg for about 7 years).

I did manage to catch the main event of Smackdown tonight after I got back from a round of miniature golf. I noticed a Rajah.com sign in the crowd and I thought I had read that WWE officials had confiscated signs saying "McGrady Sold Out", but I saw a sign that said exactly that in the crowd as well.

I was so excited when I heard that Jeff Hardy was the mystery man who was challenging AJ Styles for his X Division title. Too bad Kid Kash & Dallas had to interfere, as the match sounded like it was pretty good, even though Jeff had been out of a wrestling ring for a while. I can't wait to actually see Jeff on a wrestling show again, as he is one of my favorite wrestlers. Too bad I'll have to miss Impact tomorrow afternoon as I'll be on my way home to Michigan.

Anyway, with that plug out of the way, let's get to my GAB predictions. I have my doubts about it, but who knows, maybe it'll end up being a good show for a change.

I'll know there will be probably matches that I have forgotten or more that will be announced, but I will add those later on.

Eddie Guerrero (C) vs. John "Bradshaw" Layfield (Texas Bullrope Match for the WWE Title) - I'm tired of seeing these two feud. The writers dropped the ball when it was made known that JBL was going for the WWE Title when they should have had him go for the US Title. As long as the crowd loves Eddie and he continues to do what he does, I will keep on picking Eddie to retain his title.

My pick: Eddie Guerrero

John Cena (C) vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Booker T vs. Rene Dupree (Fatal Four Way for the US Title) - As long as either of the faces win this match, I will be satisfied. I wouldn't mind seeing RVD take the title, but I bet you that somehow the French Phenom will eke out a victory.

My pick: Rene Dupree

Rey Mysterio (C) vs. Chavo Guerrero (Cruiserweight Title) - Both men don't really need the title, as Chavo held it not too long ago and Rey doesn't need to win titles to get over with the crowd, unless he somehow manages to win the WWE Title somewhere down the line, and then I'll tip my hat to one of the greatest cruiserweights living today. I've always been a Rey Mysterio fan since he debuted, so I'll going to pick Rey to retain.

My pick: Rey Mysterio

The Undertaker vs. The Dudley Boyz (Concrete Crypt Handicap Match) - I'm not quite sure how this match works again, but I hear they're planning on turning Taker heel so he can feud with Eddie for the title (the only man worthy of taking it, that is, other than RVD or Booker T), so I guess the Undertaker will win this one, causing the concrete to be poured over Paul Bearer (I probably have the details mixed up, but oh well).

My pick: The Undertaker

Torrie Wilson vs. Sable - another pointless women's match on a PPV. Torrie Wilson will win.

My pick: Torrie Wilson

Billy Gunn vs. Kenzo Suzuki - A squash match put together to get heat on Kenzo.

My pick: Kenzo Suzuki

Hardcore Holly vs. Mordecai: Same deal.

My pick: Mordecai

Charlie Haas vs. Luther Reigns: Again, same deal.

My pick: Luther Reigns
