i just got back from the NYC Madison Square Garden house show and let me tell
you this show rocked. I would say that the place was about halfway full. the
floor was completely full. The crowd was hot the entire night
the show first started with lillian garcia singing the national anthem
and la resistance interupting her to lots of heat and 'usa' chants. here are
the match results:
la resistance defeated rhyno and tajiri- like i said la resistance was
getting tons of heat from the crowd and the crowd was just loving rhyno. he could do
no wrong in this match everyone was into him. la resistance won with their
finishing move (does it even have a name?) on tajiri.
eugene defeated the coach- before this match euegene wrestled bischoff and
then eric got mad and left the ring, thus bringing in the coach to wrestle.
William Regal came in helped eugene get the win. The crowd was into eugene. lots
of eugene chants.
Kane defeated matt hardy- this was not a squash as expected. matt did get to
do the twist of fate and the side affect. kane won with a chokeslam. after
lita tried to apologize to matt but he just left.
the hurricane and maven defeated test and garrison cade- i heard lots of
"boring"'s during this match. hurricane did a good job of getting the crowd into
it. hurricane won with a roll up on test after test accidently hit cade with a
big boot
Jericho defeated batista- Holy Crap did Y2J get a HUGE ovation! as a
jerichoholic of 7 years it made me proud. The crowd was sorta dead during the tag
match and when jericho came out the crowd got going again. batista came out to
good heat. batista was mostly in control and there were lots of rallying going on
for the king of the world. Jericho won when batista went for his sit down
powerbomb and jericho countered into a roll up. after the match jericho ran up
the ailse and batista was shocked he lost.
eugene came out again, shot the t-shirt gun into the crowd and shot the
t-shirt gun man in the balls with a t-shirt tube.
randy orton defeated edge- randy came out to a mixed reaction. egde came out
to a great ovation. lots of rest holds in this match. randy won with a roll up
and his feet on the ropes. the match was okay i was disappointed there was no
spear or rko.
trish stratus (w/ tyson tomko) defeated victoria- trish came out to a mixed
reaction but soon got booed when she got on the mic and dissed the nyc crowd.
victoria's new stripper/dancer gimmick is so stupid i just dread when she comes
out. during the match what appeared to be a tissue fell out of victoria's top
and then it stuck to trish's pants. trish won when victoria went for a
moonsault but tomko pulled trish out of the ring and trish pinned the downed
victoria.
benoit defeated hhh- pretty good match. took forever to start though cause of
all the you tapped out chants. hhh was hesitant to get in the ring and then
the nature boy got on the mic and said something. i reallly couldn't hear cause
the crowd was so loud. benoit won when he made hhh tapp out to the cross
face. the match included a run in from batista and benoit doing the sharpshooter.
overall it was a great show. jericho, benoit, hhh, orton, edge, flair, and
all the wooooooooo's made the show for me.

La Resistance interrupt Lilian Garcia's National Anthem
La Resistance vs. Rhyno and Tajiri
Rhyno and Tajiri get huge pops, and lots of ECW chants. Tajiri did a few comedy
spots poking fun at the tag champs. Rhyno is an awesome wrestler. I don't understand
why he's not wrestling guys like Benoit, HHH and Kane. La Resistance end the match
with their double team finisher on Tajiri.
Eugene vs. Coach
Eugene comes to the ring. Uncle Eric comes down and prompts the tag champs to leave.
Eric says that he's proud of Eugene, and tells him that he can pick who he wants to
wrestle tonight. (He was scheduled to wrestle Cade, but I guess that was changed.)
Eugene picks Uncle Eric and the bell rings. Eric gets frustrated by Eugene's
wrestling skill, and Coach comes out to replace him. Later on in the match as Eric
and Coach are setting up a double team, Regal comes to the ring and takes away the
double team. Eugene wins with Regal's help.
Matt Hardy(w/ Lita) vs. Kane
Lita cuts a promo on her week from hell. Lita has a real cute ass. She asks for Matt
to come to the ring. Just as he does, Kane enters. He stalks Lita. Matt seems
conflicted, but decides to help Lita. Matt hits a few of his big moves tonight. He
calls for Kane to come in close in the corner and hits a Side Effect from the second
rope. Then nails a Twist of Fate. Kane kicks out after 2. Matt tries a second ToF
and gets hit with Kane's Choke slam. Kane wins.
Test and Cade vs. Hurricane and Maven
Maven is all smiles as usual but has no real charisma. Test entertains us with
temper tantrums and threatens to beat up people in the crowd. Other than Test, this
match was negative entertaining. Hurricane scores a roll up pin on big Test for the
win. I guess Test can't beat Hurricane in the Garden. The last time they were here,
Hurricane choke slammed Test.
Chris Jericho vs. Batista
Batista looks impressive then he wrestles. He doesn't have much of an arsenal.
Jericho beats the big man with a roll up.
Randy Orton vs. Edge
Randy uses the same I'm gonna walk away from this match gimmick that Triple H uses
later. He takes his belt and bottle of water down the entrance and Edge comes after
him. They put on a good wrestling match. I guess Edge likes to do a new spot where
he is rolled up by the tights and we all get to see his ass in thong underwear.
Randy Orton pins Edge for the win.
Trish( w/ Tomko) vs. Victoria
Trish cuts a promo on how she loves NYC but can't wait to leave NYC in 2 hours. The
way she said it, it didn't make sense. I've seen that promo a thousand times from
different wrestlers and have seen it done better. Trish and Victoria are real good.
Victoria hits her shaky ass standing moonsault. Trish kicks out. Trish takes her to
the corner and chokes her out from the top ropes. While they wrestle in the corner a
pad(feminine, not turnbuckle) hits the mat. The wrestlers and ref ignore that this
happened, and it gets stuck to the wrestlers during the match. Victoria tries a huge
moonsault from the top and misses. Trish wins. Tyson interferes a lot and in front
of the ref. After the match Tyson grabs Victoria and what looks like Stevie Richards
in drag hits the ring for the save.
Chris Benoit vs. Triple H(w/ Ric Flair)
The crowd is all over HHH with,"You Tapped Out" chants. Triple H tries to head to
the dressing room, but is brought back to the ring by Benoit. Lots of hard hitting
chops and punches. Triple H escapes a sharp shooter. Ric Flair and later on, Batista
are there to distract the ref. Triple H clotheslines the ref. Benoit pins him, but
no ref. Chris Benoit wins via tapout by crippler cross face.
