- It was reported that John Bradshaw Layfield was winning over other wrestlers backstage, it now appears that he is getting heat once again. Many feel he is losing faith in his drawing power and that he has only been given a good spot due to Bruce Prichard lobbied in his favor. Being associated with Prichard has hurt his popularity backstage since Prichard is disliked backstage.
- Eddie Guerrero "went blank" during his match with Kurt Angle at the Smackdown taping last night. Those at the show who seen Guerrero earlier that day said he seemed to have his mind somewhere else. This appears to be stress related, possibly due to Hurricane Frances, in which he lost power at his home. Guerrero has had several episodes like this in the past year.
