Just got back from the Smackdown house show at the Bell Centre, the place
was pretty empty but the fans were rowdy all throughout.
Rene Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki w/ Hiroko vs. The Bashams vs. RVD and Rey vs.
Dudleyz w/ Dawn Marie
Bashams get killed by RVD and Rey after a minute, they get eliminated after
a five star.
Dudleyz and Rey pull some funny spots including a testicle grabbing sequence
which involved Dawn as well. Rey covers Bubba after a Senton and a rolling
thunder. Finally Renee and Kenzo come in and it goes back n forth. The end
comes with Rey getting rolled up by Renee while holding the ropes.
Winners & still champs: Renee Dupree and Kenzo
Torrie & Jackie come out and blast t-shirts. Psycho Sid Vicious, I MEAN
Heidenreich comes out and tries to manhandle them, Rico comes in and we have
a match. Rico pulls his classic ass grabbing and flamboyant prancing, which
was awesome. I don't think he saw my friend's "Rico Is My Mom" poster.
Anyways, Heidenreich finishes him off with the black hole slam.
Winner: Heidenreich
Luther Reigns w/ Jindrak vs. Johnny Stamboli
Crowd was dead for this one, I was trying to wake them up by cheering every
time Jindrak interfered. Eventually Stamboli pulls a classic, shove the heel
into the other heel and gets the rollup win.
Cruiserweight Champion Spike Dudley vs. Funaki vs. Shannon Moore
I went nuts for Funaki, yelling he was my long lost brother (cuz I'm Asian).
Spike comes out wearing a bruins Jersey, whcih obviosuly upsets the Montreal
fans, so Shannon and Funaki beat him up with it, and Moore wipes his ass
with it, got a nice pop. Shannon Moore actually pulled some nice moves
during this one, and at one point, gestured to the crowd by fixing his
mohawk which was pretty funny. Spike wins with a rollup and the tights on
Funaki.
Kurt Angle w/ Luther Vs. Big Show
Big Show got a massive pop. He dominates Angle who eventually gets the upper
hand with Luther's help. After some ankle locks and interference, Show
eventually ends it with a chokeslam.
Winner: Big Show
Hardcore Holly Vs. U.S. Champ Carlito Caribbean Cool
Holly chops Carlito into oblivion. Carlito takes the turbuckle off and tried
to hide it from the ref which was funny. Holly whips him into the turnbuckle
and climbs up to start punching him. After 4 punches, Carlito gives him a
snake eyes on the exposed turnbuckle, 1-2-3, Carlito Caribbean Cool retains.
Winner: Carlito Caribbean Cool
OHHH Chavo Guerrero Vs. Kidman
Chavo's music is awesome. Kidman comes out wearing his old London/Kidman
ring attire. Match was pretty basic, crowd kinda died out, then livened up
when Kidman climbed for a Shooting Star. Chavo wakes up, punches Kidman,
then gives him a gory bomb to get the 1-2-3.
Winner: Ohhhh Chavo Guerrero
Main Event: WWE Champion JBL w/ Orlando Vs. Booker T
JBL comes out and bashes Canada and Quebec, saying that we're all french,
which means 90 percent of us must be gay, and we're Canadian, which means
100% of us are stupid. I think I was the only one who got up and applauded
when he said that, don't people understand? He's our social better! He cuts
more of an awesome promo, then Book enters. Huge pop. Match goes back n
forth with a spinaroonie interrupted by Orlando Jordan. Finish comes when
JBL picks up the belt that Orlando brought in before Orlando got Bookended,
and uses it on Booker T. JBL retains after the pin.
Winner: John Bradshaw Layfield
After the match all the faces and all the heels come out. Big Show is the
last out, and cleans house, delivering every signature move possible.
Hogan's leg drop, People's elbow, stinkface... it was hilarious. Eventually,
JBL comes back in, and he gets almost every single Face's finisher. Rey 5
stars him, then so does RVD, 619'd , he gets chokeslammed, and finally,
Booker T does a spinaroonie. The faces leave, and JBL rounds up the Dudleys
and Kidman to sing God Bless America, which gets massively booed. Funny
spot: as they're leaving, Bubba holds up a sign that has Kerry, Bush, and
JBL on it, with a check next to JBL's name. Then he shows the other side
which says, "I came to see Billy Kidman". Billy looks at the sign, then
Bubba tears it in half, Billy's reaction was hilarious, he was like, "What
the hell are you doing????"
Me and my buddy waited outside for the wreslters, the first to come out was
Kenzo and his wife. I ran down the street after them with my "Kenzo Is My
Dad" sign (again, I'm Asian), and they pulled over! They signed my sign
which was incredibly nice of them, I was freaking out! I thanked them and
told them what a great match they had. By the way, Hiroko is really really
hot without her Geisha makeup on, damn lucky Suzuki that stud...
Also, this scrawny guy in a Hulkamania jersey was heckling wreslter's all
nite from ringside and was really getting into it with Little Hebner who
kept yelling back. D-von was the last to leave the arena and got stopped at
a red light. People were going up to his car and all I saw was D-Von get out
of his car in the middle of traffic and nearly KILL this Hulkamania kid. He
shoved him and was swearing like you wouldn't believe. Apparently he
recognized the kid from ringside, maybe he had said something before during
a match, but D-Von was losing it. He was hoenstly a hair away from knocking
this punk out. Eventually a WWE security guy broke it up, but wow, D-Von was
going insane. Wish I had my camera, would've been an awesome shot, D-Von
going mad with rabies.
All in all, a good show, the Arena was pretty bare, but Kenzo and his hottie
wife signing my sign was definitely worth everything.

Results:
4-Way Elimination Tag Match for the titles.
Rene Dupree/Kenzo Suzuki
VS
Rob Van Dam/Rey Mysterio
VS
The Basham Brothers
VS
The Dudley Boys (w/Dawn Marie)
Match started off with Bubba cutting a promo insulting our city in
order to get the cheap heat. Bashams got eliminated first, followed
by the Dudleys. Dupree did the French Tickler but RVD clotheslined
him, jumped over to hit Kenzo and missed. Dupree then got the pin on
Rey. The winners, and still tag team champions: Rene Dupree and Kenzo
Suzuki.
After the match, Kenzo brought a chair in which led to a Van Daminator
followed by a 619.
Miss Jackie and Torrie came out with the t-shirt gun. As they were
leaving, Heidenreich forced them back into the ring and tried to force
Torrie to read one of his poems. He wasn't pleased with her reading
and she escpaed the ring, leaving Miss Jackie alone. Heidenreich went
after Miss Jackie and Rico came to the rescue.
Heidenreich
VS
Rico
Nothing special about this match. Rico did the ass-spanking thing a
few times, and there were tons of homosexual-related comments from the
crowd. Heidenreich got the pin on Rico after about 5 minutes.
Johnny Stamboli
VS
Luther Reigns (w/Mark Jindrak)
Overall, a good match. Tons of interference from Jindrak. Stamboli
managed to get the pin on Reigns, but then Reigns and Jindrak
destroyed him afterwards.
Triple Threat Match for the Cruiserweight title.
Spike Dudley
VS
Shannon Moore
VS
Funaki
Pretty fun match. Spike came out wearing a Boston Bruins jersey for
cheap heat (Bruins aren't liked in Montreal). Funaki and Moore teamed
up against Spike, took off the jersey and Moore wiped his ass with it,
which earned a good pop from the crowd. Once they weakened Spike,
Moore turned on Funaki. The match ended when Spike shoved Funaki into
Moore (who was getting back in the ring) and then Spike rolled up
Funaki, held his tights, and got the 3 count. The winner, and still
Cruiserweight Champion: Spike Dudley.
After the match, Moore got back into the ring and started arguing with
Funaki. Funaki explained Spike had his tights and the announcer tried
to convey the message to the ref to no avail.
Kurt Angle (w/Luther Reigns)
VS
Big Show
Kurt jumped in and out of the ring for a few minutes, trying to avoid
the Big Show. The ref kept getting in the way, so Big Show picked him
up and sat him on the turnbuckle in the corner and made him stay
there. Kurt finally got into the ring and attempted a german suplex
without much success. Big Show hit him with a huge knife edge chop
heard around the arena, which got a good pop. He looked at the crowd,
held a finger up, and asked if we wanted to see one more. We did, and
he obliged. They went back and forth for a while and then Big Show
tried to do a sunset flip (which was rather impressive) but instead
pulled down Kurt's singlet, revealing his ass to us. Kurt ran out and
Big Show bowed to all four sides of the ring as he got a huge pop.
Kurt came back in, fixed up his singlet and gained the advantage for a
while. He hit the Olympic Slam and the Ankle Lock. Big Show got out
of it and Reigns tried to interfere and got chokeslammed for his
troubles. So did Angle and then Big Show picked up the win.
For the US Title.
Carlito Carribean Cool
VS
Hardcore Holly
Carlito came out with Cena's chain and told us we should all be cool.
The match started off slow and the boring chants started up. Holly
actually managed to save the match and make it somewhat entertaining.
Carlito got the win after removing the padding on the turnbuckle and
tripping Holly into it. The winner, and still US Champion: Carlito
Carribean Cool.
Chavo Guerrero
VS
Billy Kidman
Not a bad match, but nothing that made it special either. No high
flying moves and no SSP. Chavo picked up the win in the end.
Main Event, for the WWE Championship
JBL (w/Orlando Jordan)
VS
Booker T
JBL came out and cut a lengthy, but hilarious promo. Spent a lot of
time dissing Canada and Quebec (or Queerbec as he called it). Called
us frogs and said we probably couldn't understand because we didn't
speak English. Asshole chants started and he got upset. He told us
his name was J-B-L and tried to get a chant going. Then Booker came
out, with a chair, and JBL got out of the ring. JBL grabbed the mic
and went near a bunch of front row fans who were doing a loud JBL
chant. He stayed with them, laughing, and giving high fives. Booker
told us we had it right on the first try: His name is Asshole. Big
pop. JBL got offended and told us he was going to punish us for our
disrespect by walking out and not letting us see the main event. He
asked the ref if it was true that he'd retain his title if he got
counted out, and then told the ref to start counting. He did and JBL
started walking to the back. Booker T ran after him, threw him back
in the ring and the match was underway. Booker eventually hit the
scissorkick and the Book-End, but it didn't work. The ref got bumped
and another ref came in, but got beat down by Orlando Jordan. JBL
grabbed the title, nailed Booker and got the pin as the ref came to.
The winner, and still WWE Champion, JBL.
After the match ended, JBL and Jordan tried to double-team Booker T,
but the faces ran from the back to make the save. RVD, Rey, Chavo,
Stamboli, Holly and Booker all started beating on JBL and Jordan.
Reigns, Jindrak and the Dudleys came out and got JBL out of harm's
way. The Big Show came and cleared the heels from the ring as the
Dudleys were getting rid of the faces. They thought they had the ring
to themselves, but turned around to find the Big Show. As they tried
to get away, JBL tried to sneak up behind the Big Show but got caught.
Show nailed JBL and chokeslammed D-Von and Bubba as the faces watched
from ringside. Kidman tried to sneak in and climb to the top rope,
but Show saw him and chokeslammed him. Big Show then hit a great
People's Elbow on D-Von and dragged JBL back into the ring. Big Show
climbed the second rope but Bubba got on top of JBL to protect him.
Show climbed down and splashed both of them. RVD went to the top rope
and hit the 5 Star Frog Splash. The faces got Booker back in the ring
and helped him drag JBL to the side so he could pull a Spinaroonie.
JBL was left hanging over the second rope, and Rey got all excited.
He nailed the 619 and then Show chokeslammed JBL.
The faces cleared the ring, leaving JBL in the middle, totally
destroyed, with the belt over his chest. Bubba came our ranting about
how this is a travesty and JBL is an American hero and us frogs
shouldn't be happy about this. JBL said he couldn't feel his left leg
and asked Bubba to get him a doctor, but he didn't trust these French
quacks. He wanted an American doctor. Bubba called Jordan and Kidman
back into the ring, and with JBL, they huddled together and sang "God
Bless America".
On the way out of the ring, Bubba grabbed a fan sign that said "I came
for Billy Kidman", showed it to him and then ripped it in half while
laughing at Kidman.
End show.
Great show overall. Even better than the Smackdown! taping I attended
in Toronto on June 1st (and much better seats too!). I was in the 5th
row from the ring and managed to get some great pictures, which can be
seen at http://www.wwedivas.us/gallery/
You'll also be able to see pictures from May 31st's RAW taping in
Montreal and Smackdown's June 1st taping in Toronto on the same site.
